- Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
We're in the South of England today where we'll be driving a lovely pair of Class 444 Desiro EMU's on a late running semi express service from London Waterloo to Weymouth. We join the service at Southampton Central and drive as far as almost Bournemouth.
As it turns out I appear to be missing some scenery, which was some additional temporary speed restrictions (hence the milk bottles in the track which I asked about). This could be the cause of our little derailment, so if you are downloading this scenario I recommend double checking you have all the requirements (which I never do!).

I've had this happen on a few custom scenarios. Is it a random thing or will it happen every time? Will you fix it, or tell us what needs to be fixed?
It just seems to have appeared randomly. It was tested multiple times before release however it only seems to have cropped up now despite the scenario being out for some time.
I’m playing around and seeing what I can do to fix it but I’m time limited at the moment. As soon as it’s fixed an update will be released on the website!

The class 444s (and 450s I believe) used to have much faster acceleration, you could tell by the change in motor sounds. That was a long time ago though, and because the trains were drawing too much power from the 3rd rail the acceleration had to be cut back.

I don't think the 444 shows different destinations on the outside, but the announcements normally say this train is for Weymouth and Bournemouth throughout the whole train
They do show the destination I travell on them alot
It would be great if there was a train game that you could create your own company and compete for franchise agreements.

Thanks Imran! Yeah the 444 is awesome. TPE could have done with a similar sort for the WCML with those lovely end doors.

My TS Classic doesn’t work 😢 keeps coming up not enough memory. And I’ve tried everything to fix it. Miss playing it.

Bloody awful to drive - in real life. I much preferred driving the slam doors even if it did make your arm ache holding down the 'Dead man's handle'. Claustrophobic too without the side visibility. Only good thing I have to say about them is the Emergency brake - should you need it and the seat isn't bad. Right old paff trying to speak to the guard when you can't have a simultaneous 2 way conversation to like a 442 & 159.
The brake retarders are not very nice on a 444/450 and you can't get a smooth stop. IF you can switch off the dynamic brake it's a nice smooth brake but you're not allowed too.
Is there a 442 available so you can see how that compares too.
Can't beat the 159s though 😁 Get yourself on that 158. Yes, totally agree with you about the SWR livery, SWT livery much better.
