She gave him the IN to the elves and to Numinor. She walked him right into the center of all his greatest enemies. The ones he perceived anyway. I do love this story. The great Galadriel who desired to rule a kingdom and be the one to slay the enemy humbled by the same things that humble mere mortals: we see what we want to see and sometimes we must realize how deeply we have fooled and hurt ourselves. We have to touch the dark, as it were. Your edit really shows this so well. Is she done fooling herself that she is the “only one” who can kill him? I don’t think so.
