Make-up artist Natalie Hanks struggled from the age of 11 with her appearance, when her legs started to change dramatically in size and became swollen and sore to touch. Doctors advised Natalie’s mum to put Natalie on a diet, and the same advice continued until she was diagnosed with Lipoedema 20 years later following advice from a client.
Natalie discusses her battle with Lipoedema and the effect on her mental health. Sharie from Lipoedema UK explains the issues within the medical profession and why it is so difficult to receive a diagnosis.
