Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I’m glad the review was helpful. I originally did it to share with a guitar group because someone was asking about this wireless system so I’m blown away that so many people have viewed this. As an update, I al still using this and it’s still on my pedalboard. The only concern has been that a pedal I was powering with the dc out from this started to make some noise so I just stopped using this to power an extra pedal. Other than that it works like a dream. Take care!
@@FedericoEriksson probably that pedal is old or it takes only its originsp power supply, anyways had you guys ever done this wireless thing with an keyboard before? I have one and some speakers and i plugged my wl50 and a Y connection for the left and right, surprisely 1 speaker worked.
I'm getting this system and have the Voodoo labs pedal power 3 which sources 500nA per output so hoipefully I should be good. Thanks for the honest review.
Whether the transmitter can be charged when it is plugged into the receiver, but the receiver is not connected to the mains? For example, while I play a concert, the receiver is charging, then I played back put my boss in my bag and he charges the transmitter for the next concert. Sorry for my terrible english.
That’s a great question! Thank you for posting it? One would think since it’s Boss it should work. I tried to look up specs for the tuner’s daisy chain power but couldn’t find the answer. It should power it but it may not charge the transmitter. You need to make sure the power adapter you use can provide 500mA of current like its power adaptor. Hope this helps! www.boss.info/us/products/psa_series/
Rob 781 Thanks for the message! I thought about the extension cable but didn’t want it dangling. Not sure why I didn’t think of putting it in my pocket. Genius! Thanks!
Hi Mains. Great question! I have played with other guitar players that use wireless systems (not yet with anyone that also has a Boss WL-50) and no interference issues. Today I still have this wireless on my pedalboard and it works great!
I think your voodoo lab's maximum draw is 250ma with output 5 or 6 if you got the pp2, and i've seen in the manual that wl 50 needs 320ma for charging. That's the reason why it doesn't charged i think...
Nix Pantoja Thank you for your message! I’ve been playing through this wireless for a while now and don’t notice any adverse tone loss or coloring. For playing Live it’s great! Haven’t experienced any drop outs either.
I have the same wireless system and just put it on my pedal board. If I use a separate DC input with plug for the wireless system and run my pedals through my power supply would that be ok? So in effect the wireless will run into the mains on one plug and the power supply for my other pedals through a separate plug. That would work wouldn’t it. Or would u put batteries in the wireless system and not use the mains on the board ?
Hi David! I have all my pedals connected to a voodoo labs power supply that is under the pedalboard. For the Boss wireless, I have a separate power adapter. And that is worked fine for years. Keep on rockin!
@@FedericoEriksson many thanks for the reply. And just to confirm when on pedal board my lead will come out of the output into my next pedal in Chain but I won’t need one going to the input as it’s start of my chain. Thanks for your time and for those about to rock we salute u
@@davidkay3443 That is correct! The wireless does have a cable input that you can use to bypass the wireless system and to connect via cable. You would never use that unless your transmitter is out of battery and you need to be able to play. (I once forgot to charge it and had to use this lol). Rock on!
Rik Cava Great question! I don’t see why it wouldn’t. If you are looking at buying one and want to make sure, you can call or message your favorite music store and ensure that it will work for bass before buying. Thanks for the message!
Best review and properly use of the wl50 out there, other videos wont show this much

Have not tried with a keyboard but I would assume it works with it. Fun stuff!
Thank you for this Video Review! I'm gonna pick one up.

Hope it works well for you. It’s been 5 years since I got it and I’m still using it and it still works fine. Thanks for the comment!
Use a 1/4” straight adaptor for the Ibanez, then plug the transmitter into the adaptor.
Thank you!
You can use the Boss on your Ibanez guitar by using an adapter plug! :)
Jelmer Bijlsma Thank you for the recommendation!
What kind?

hi is it possible to insert it to the fx loop of the amp and how that is happend

Thanks for the review. Can I use it for active pickups?
Hi! Thank you for the question. Yes, it works with guitars that have active pickups.
I guess you could get a little extension cable and put in pocket to use on the GEM?

Any interference issues between wireless systems if there is more then one in use at the same time on the same stage set-up?...

Sven Echelpoels Thanks for the info. I think you are right, it’s the ma that was not high enough to charge the unit.
Maybe Current Doubler Adapter can help. www.voodoolab.com/shop/index.php?cPath=22_24_33
Therapy Sessions That’s probably what’s happening. Get a power supply with the right ma and you should be golden. Thanks for the message!
Kainan Chen Thanks for sharing the link!

How about the tone? Is it same sound like using cable? Any tone affect,? Im using glxd 14 shure..

Is it possible to mains power the WL-50 from the daisy chain 9v output on the TU-3 tuner?
I think it doesn't have enough juice to power it. I would suggest getting the power adapter for it.
you mention the wireless adaptor would not charge cause voodoo lab supply could not power it enough. What about the fender engine room?
Just make sure that the power supply has 350mA
man! i can’t believe you went through all that crap with the tremolo bar, the plug in and how to do it, ugh

can a person leave the usb cable plugged into unit always?
Hi! This device does not have a usb connection so there is no usb cable to plug.
@@FedericoEriksson yes there is to charge it WTF
Was that The Lion and The Lamb?
UnderDog Good ear! Yeah, I played some licks from that song.
Works on bass. If you have passive pickups, turn on the cable on the back of the receiver. Active pick up, turn that cable switch off
are you a Singer too?
I sang a few songs in the band but mainly play guitar.
