St Peter's repentance led to his becoming the first Pope. His symbol, the cockerel, was later deemed by Pope Gregory I (AD 590-604) to be a suitable Christian emblem, and some churches started to use roosters as 'weather-cocks
Very good Steve, greetings from Dromore,County Down. The doors are amazing,The artistry in the memorial’s are fantastic for a country church as you say.I have just subscribed to your channel👍
Hi Mark, greeting to you back from Bedfordshire. I'm very pleased you like the video and have subscribed to my channel. I'm hoping to load up more videos in the coming weeks. The apple door went viral on twitter with over 300 re-twits. Thanks for watching.
Marvelous informative video. I wish you would raise the volume on the speaking. The music is too loud and the speaking is hard to hear. They should paint the front doors red with black hinges. Why is there a rooster on the steeple and not a cross¿ Love these old churches.

UK must retain christianity and its values. When i saw the harvest fruits and vegetables... even in India we celebrate first harvest fruits and vegetables and corn or rice on September 8th on the day of birth of Mother Mary....
