purchased the camera yesterday and i can't wait to get it! is there an app to transfer photos & videos to upload it to your phone? this is my very first camera.
I bought one 5 months ago and was so intimidated trying to get set up with only what Sony sends you - this video was so helpful that as of now I have it set to go - headed to WDW with granddaughter to shoot some video. Questions I still have - what editing SW ( PC )- is the best/easiest for a newbie. How do you download to your PC with this camera ? with my regular cameras there is a 1 touch send. Do you just connect to pc and should I use SD card reader to do same ? got an external 1 TB separate drive to load to. Do you have a video on how to connect sony gimbal ? only recommendation - slow down just a little on setting- for new people like me who's play=pausing on youtube. just excellent job

When I shoot outdoor and I am trying to catch (for example) my dad working in the garden.. the sky is always so bright. You can't see the color of the sky or the clouds. Is this a problem in general with the camera or is it a setting I don't know how to change?
Got mine a few days ago. But for some reason the battery went from almost full to almost 0% in 1 hour. I had it on all the time while watching videos on UA-cam on how to choose the correct settings and going through the settings at the same time. I wasn’t recording or taking pictures. Then I realised that the bluetooth had been on all the time. But do you think that the bluetooth could drain the battery that quickly? Or could it just be that the camera is faulty?
The battery on these cameras have been known to not be that great on any version of this camera before it. Perhaps try using the airplane mode and turning it on and see if there is much of a difference.
@@MikeBSalazar thanks for your answer Mike. I phoned Sony Contact Support this morning and the guy told me to remove the battery for 1min and put it back on again and test and see what happens. I also thought about the airplane mode and I’ll test it as well.
HLG? Those are called picture profiles and they help with maximizing the most out of the image of the camera through color correcting and color grading.
Depends what your priorities and what you shoot but if vlogging really is what you’re doing then yes unless you plan to save up for an interchangeable camera.
Hello Mike! Just a beginner here. Planning to buy dji2 for vlogging but since I saw your vid I switched to Sony. My problem is how can I easily edit the videos on that cam? Coz unlike DJI 2 it can easily connect to phone and it has an editing app. Hope I can help me. Thank you..
@@qaecobitv2295 Small cameras like this do tend to overheat. I had a maximum record time of an hour just on a single battery. Perhaps you could get more if you had a battery bank plugged in. I choose those resolutions and frame rates in a case to case scenario. If I want a particular slomo shot, I'll shoot in 120 fps, otherwise i'll just shoot in 24 fps, or for you 30 fps.
Would be great if you showed us how to actually use it and the explanation of the buttons. Why are you rushing and speaking so fast, difficult to learn when you’re a beginner. I still don’t know how to take a picture with it even after this tutorial 😓🙈
Sorry about that. Thanks for the feedback. Have been working to make the explanations well paced. If anything, perhaps the changing the playback speed to 0.75 would be more helpful? With taking pictures, you want to make sure that when you press the mode button that in the top left corner it shows a photo icon rather than a video or S&Q icon.

The lens itself doesnt zoom. Just digital zoom.

I typically recommend ZV-1 if its in the budget.

what is slog 2 and slog3 and I forgot the other mode that starts with h?

Im going to guess you mean the DJI action 2 or osmo 2? You can select a portion of your clips from the zv-1f to send to your phone.
this seems super worth it now compared to the ZV-1 MK2 . . . right?
I still like the convenience of an optical zoom and shooting raw photos in the sony zv-1

Is this camera good for workout vlog?
Yeah it's good if you want to just set it down and get a wider field of view of your workout space.

Yes, you can do it for this, especially for wider field of view. Just light accordingly and you're good.
