Also for the question on the bulletin board paper I would highly recommend hot glue and painters tape. I use it for mine and it stays up all year. Just make sure to use the painters tape so it doesn’t pull off the actual paint on your walls when you take it down.
I think your library looks cute! The rug is a nice pop of color and I think it still works with the scheme overall! But definitely don’t limit the number of books just because they can’t read, they love looking at the books and you’ll be surprised what the kids read after awhile!
Hello. You could also use the storage shelf for seasonal books and display Reading Buddies that go with books on top shelf. I have that set up in my classroom and I really like it. (BTW, I get my Reading Buddies and matching books from Kohls.). I also added a plant and a basket with extra reading buddies to my library to make it warm and inviting. :)
You should be able to ask the maintenance people/janitor depending on which your school has to level your desks! Then they will all be the same heights. Also for the extra glue bottles; I'm an art teacher and I squeeze the leftover glue into the other bottles if there is about half left that way we use up almost every single drop! 😊
The custodians should be able to adjust all tables to the same height. Some tables have adjustable feet (the silver part on the end) that you can twist to account for imperfections in the floor and level the desks. See if they adjust up or down the way washing machines, dryers, and stoves do to level them. You could also put the little felt furniture circles on the desk feet to increase the height if they don't adjust evenly. Beware, as they move thw desks around, you will probably have to replace the furture circles sometime during the school year. You can use the left over glue to make glue sponges. I just discovered glue sponges. You can get small airtight containers from the dollar store, put a sponge without the scrubbing material in, pour the extra glue over it, and let it sit overnight to absorbe the glue. When you need to do paper and glue projects, simply swipe the paper over the sponge and you're done! No missing caps, no squeezing too much liquid glue and having glue soup all over their desk, project, and hands, and no smashed glue sticks from turning them all the way up. You're doing a great job!
I like buying the stuffy book characters from kohls along with the book. They are only $5! My son (4) loves them. Kinder would love them too and then they could read to a book buddy in the library!
Hi! I have the same chair and there is a lever under it that you can push in (to stop the tilting) and pull out (to make it tilt back). I hope that helps!
The brighter color of the rug really perked the space up! And with the pillows it looks so happy. I thought maybe your other signs and posters were old and that’s why they were so faded 😅
You should find a way to display seasonal/,thematic picture books to make your libraru more inviting. Just because they can't 'read the words' doesnt mean they shouldnt be exposed to wonderful diverse illustruststions. ❤
This is such a cute classroom already. Also, love the rug. It is such a cozy reading corner. Just a thought: Wouldn't it be a little distracting to have the read letters partly hidden by the greenery, if they are just learning to read?
I also love the toolbox. I use mine all the time. I have the one from Amazon and have noticed that pens/markers do not fit in easily. Can you send a link or the name of the one from Michael's please and thank you.
Hey there! The rug looks nice. Your classroom is really looking good. I do have a question, though. I really loved the labels you used for your supplies. Could you please send me a link to those? I would really appreciate it. Hope you have a great year!
@@kindergartenwithkaylee Hi Kaylee if it isn’t too much trouble are you able to send me all the labels/ stuff that is retro that you used in your classroom. I absolutely adore it ❤
I love the color of the rug. I don’t think it’s too distracting at all. I would highly recommend carpet tap for your rugs. I got mine from Amazon and it keeps it down all year and helps a lot with not having it move all the time or trip littles.

Did this work on cinderblock?
@@karigruppen1405 Yes! It is one of the only things that worked in my classroom.
@@EmilyStout-vc2vs this is a life saver! I keep looking at removable wallpaper and it’s so expensive!
Yes, move that trofast and get another shelf or book display so kids cant see the front covers. ❤

That target rug is PERFECT for that space! Love the cushions too!

Love your bulletin board!
Scotch concrete green painters tape will hold anything up on the way!! Also I stand by hot glue 🙌🏼
Use painter tape on the wall, then on top of the tape, add hot glue. Do it by sections going down like wallpaper.

I didn't even think about asking the janitor to level them! Thank you for the tip!

Just move the trofast shelf and if you get the cute sofa you were talking about it could go where the trofast shelf was.
If the circle rug can be cleaned, put it in the calm down corner

the rug give the pop of color it looks great!
It brings out the pink in the bins.
What about putting the Ikea shelf coming out from the wall on the other side of the pink rug. This closes in the library to make it cozier.
that's a cute idea!
Have you thought about doing table groups with caddies on the table for the kids to use
Have you tried Amazon or tpt for inspirational quotes for the cabinet door
I think you should swap the supply shelf to the other side of the iPad cart under the middle windows. So your students can have more space on the rug.
that's a really good idea!
bulletin board looks great, setups can be so hectic right?? :)
The rug looks so good. Maybe place the pot pom K in place of the extra READ sign since you already have a READ poster there. Just an idea.
I was thinking the same thing!
You should utilize a space for a dramatic play area 😂

I guess it's actually from amazon! It's the IRIS USA 24 Storage Drawer Organizer. Hope that helps!
The rug goes with your cushions!
Get more ika storage bins and fires box
I know right!?
