Hello Bernard. I am a new subscriber. I am very glad that I found you. I also play a two-manual Allen organ at church (in Northern California) Many Thanks, - Matt
Thank you, Matt, for your encouragement and kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the music. I play an Allen in church as well, an oldish 30 year old MDS-60, 3 manual.
That intro, WOW!!!brings back memories when I learnt to play GRAND CHOEUR DIALOGUE...you know what took me a long time to master it cos tried to learn it after only a year learning the organ, big mistake haha!..I'd like to hear your version tho' if you have time😛
That is a tough piece of music. I only managed to learn the opening bars, never ventured beyond that, though. Someday I will try. Thanks for listening !
Surprised bro you never learn to play Gigout's Grand Choeur Dialogue...I began playing organ in 2015 just after uni...tried to learn this piece too soon without skills needed so gave up...then Covid hit in 2020 so with improved organ skills, more time due to lockdowns and stuff decided to give it another try...also had personal motivation to learn it...for sure it's "tough piece of music" and took me several weeks to learn but I did it...what I'm saying is if I can do it then you sure as hell can...go for it yeh?🎶... @@gohbern83
I really enjoy your adaptations and organ playing. Very special. My wife, now in memory care with Alzheimer's) had a two manual Allen practice organ much like yours (much earlier edition) that I used the MIDI out with a very early version of Hauptwerk. How about "God of our Fathers, whose Almighty Hand" with the trumpet fanfare sometime? I am not an organist but am building a two-manual Hauptwerk for a budding organist in the hope that he will be part of continuing the tradition of using the organ as part of worship services.
Thank you for your encouraging comments. Unfortunately, it is not available for download as I mainly improvise and have not committed them to a score. Thank you for your support, nonetheless.
