  • My old Blundstone boots split in half and I needed a new pair of boots to replace them. This is a shootout to see what boot can dethrone the Blundstones.

If you’d like to add more to the chelsea confusion, I can recommend the mongrel k9 boot. I would say the bridge the look/comfort between the blundstones and redbacks. They have a very similar toe box compared to the redbacks, slightly wider than the blunnies, def wider than my previous Rossi enduras( all in the same size).
    Appreciate the coverage on Chelsea’s🤙

Redback makes combat boots for the Australian military. They are made in Australia unlike Blundstones that are made in Taiwan and Vietnam.

The heels, the upper of the All Terrain is the same as the 600 model.

Oh that’s interesting. I didn’t know that. Is that a pretty recent model? I just saw a picture of it and it’s wild how similar it is.

Blundstones aren't resolable though aren't they? They're cement construced.

That Redwing boot looks great. I would encourage you to give up on Blundstone though as they haven't been made in Australia for many years now. Instead get yourself Redback boots which are actually made in Australia and are more comfortable than Blundstone and I think cost less as well.

Redbacks really do punch so high above their weight. Worn yours a lot?

I had a pair of the chisel toes that had the toe stiffener material break up and start to stab the top of my toes. Contacted Blundstone and they told me the same thing after I sent them some pics of the boots, "what pair would you like as a replacement?". I was pretty surprised as at that point I had the Blundstones for at least a few years. Very good customer service. This was a number of years back so it's great to know they still stand behind their products.

That’s awesome! Yeah blew my mind. Did you get the same pair after?

I got the same pair but not in the crazy horse leather (that I liked) as they no longer made them with that leather. @@morecoolshtlessbullsht

I saw your previous video this morning and was surprised to see an updated video. Nice review of all the boots, i had an opposite experience with blundtone Canada. They said my problems were from wear and tear and neglect from not treating the leather.
Sad to see the redbacks didn't get a full mention but it the insoles are still top notch. I replaced my failed blunstones with redbacks because they felt much beter quality.

Nice! Yeah redbacks are so comfy, I’ve taken them on some pretty technical hikes and they work really well. Man that’s annoying about blundstone in Canada.
What have you been doing in your redbacks?

I wear mine for everyday use, if I'm not in sandals in the summer I would wear my previous blundstones. I prefer a utilitarian boot rather than a fashion forward boot. I would agree that blundstones look better for dressing up but I was looking for a more durable boot. Everyone seems to have blundstones these days and I'm not sure if they are what they use to be

@@Ddaverr1 that’s awesome. I completely agree. Purely functional designs just are timeless and work with everything. I bet your boots are starting to tell such a great visual story of your journey in life with them.

Nice review there sir. Pls what is the length and width of the outsole of the blundstone (of course the width at the widest part of the sole). In kinda need these measurements to make a buying decision between the US 10 and 10.5
    thanks

Yeah I really dunno why they don’t let us have them. They make the wedge sole version for us now, but I never liked the look of a wedge sole and they wear down way too fast.
