    Can you explain how best to teach a young player (7,8 years old) how to pull back the puck properly for a wrist shot while stick handling in motion towards the net.

    I have noticed that a lot of the elite players are using a different fake then the typical front fake. They shift their weight for the fake then pull the puck back to protect it. They curl on their inside edge of the foot closest to the defender. The other leg is lifted off the ice and is called a soft leg or knee bend. Can you break down this move and give your thoughts on how effective it is compared to a front fake?
