@@IzakD8 That's because nowhere in scripture does Jesus or any writer elevate her. On the contrary, Jesus elevates us in Matthew 12 when He said, "Anyone who does the will of God is My mother"! He never allowed us to place her in a position where she would be the focus.
When the woman shouted, "Blessed is the woman who birthed you and breasts that nursed you", Jesus immediately took our eyes off of Mary and placed them solely on God when He replied, "Rather blessed are those who hear the Word of God and obey"!
In Matthew 12 when Jesus was told that His mother and brothers were outside He pointed to the believers in front of Him and said, "Here is My mother and brothers"! For Jesus, His family were the believers which is why at the cross He left Mary with John. It makes perfect sense considering His brothers didn't believe in Him as we are told by John in John 7:5.
From the creation of the first Christian Church in Acts thru the book of Revelation no Apostle, no writer of any book taught Mary, preached Mary, even mentioned Mary! The Apostle John, caretaker of Mary after the cross, failed to see anything special about her to write about. He never mentioned her by name. The Apostle Paul, writer of half of the New Testament never mentioned her. The Apostle Peter, the Catholic Rock, never mentioned her, not a single Hail Mary!
She like John the Baptist are prophecy fulfilled, neither have an active role in our salvation! Even Jesus said John the Baptist was greater!
It's so important that we pray directly to God that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. To try and do an end around on the Holy Spirit is a dangerous thing to do!
To believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the Holy Spirit inspired those who wrote it means, to a Catholic, that the Holy Spirit made a mistake when He didn't call Mary the mother of God or the new ark, or the queen of heaven! There is a reason that she is not lifted up in scripture and completely ignored from Acts 2 thru Revelation. She was a blessed girl/woman who had a baby! John the Baptist lost his head for Jesus....

    • @IzakD8
      @IzakD8 10 місяців тому

@@glennherron9499 The argument that Jesus or any writer did not elevate Mary in Scripture is false. There are many passages in the Bible that show the special role and dignity of Mary as the Mother of God and the first disciple of Christ. For example, in Luke 1:42-43, Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, calls Mary “the mother of my Lord”. In John 2:1-11, Jesus performs his first miracle at the wedding at Cana at the request of Mary, showing his obedience and respect for her. In John 19:26-27, Jesus entrusts Mary to John and John to Mary, making her the mother of all believers, which also proves her perpetual virginity because as a Jew, if she had other children she would have been left in the care of the next eldest son after the death of Christ, but instead he left her to John, because she did not have other children. Read the perpetual virginity by St. Jerome if you want to see how blatant of a heresy that is. In Revelation 12:1-6, Mary is depicted as the woman clothed with the sun, who gives birth to the male child who will rule all nations with an iron rod, and who is persecuted by the dragon, and the male child she brings forth is obviously Jesus because this is foreshadowed in Psalm 2, "The Lord hath said to me: Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I will give thee the Gentiles for thy inheritance, and the utmost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron, and shalt break them in pieces like a potter’s vessel." So if Psalm 2 is a type revealed in Revelation, then obviously the mother of the male child who is obviously Jesus is Mary. These are just some examples of how Scripture elevates Mary as a unique and blessed person in God’s plan of salvation.
The argument that Jesus elevates us in Matthew 12 when He said, “Anyone who does the will of God is My mother” is true, but it does not diminish Mary’s role. On the contrary, it confirms her role as the perfect model of discipleship. Mary is the one who always did the will of God, from the moment she said “yes” to the angel Gabriel in Luke 1:38, to the moment she stood at the foot of the cross in John 19:25. She is the one who heard the word of God and obeyed it, as Jesus said in Luke 11:28. She is the one who kept all these things in her heart and pondered them, as Luke 2:19 says. Therefore, when Jesus says that anyone who does the will of God is his mother, he is not excluding Mary, but including her as the first and foremost among his followers.
The argument that Jesus took our eyes off of Mary and placed them solely on God when He replied, “Rather blessed are those who hear the Word of God and obey” is also false. Jesus did not deny that Mary was blessed, but he affirmed that she was blessed for a deeper reason than just being his biological mother. He was saying that Mary was blessed because she heard the word of God and obeyed it, which is what made her worthy to be his mother in the first place. He was also inviting us to share in that same blessing by following her example of faith and obedience.
The argument that no Apostle, no writer of any book taught Mary, preached Mary, even mentioned Mary from Acts 2 through Revelation is also false. As I mentioned before, there are many passages in Scripture that mention Mary and teach about her role in salvation history. Moreover, there are many writings from the early Church Fathers and other sources that testify to the reverence and devotion that Christians had for Mary from the very beginning. For example, St. Ignatius of Antioch (died around 107 AD) wrote: “The virginity of Mary was hidden from the prince of this world, as was also her offspring, and the death of the Lord; three mysteries of renown…” St. Irenaeus of Lyons (died around 202 AD) wrote: “The knot of Eve’s disobedience was loosed by the obedience of Mary. For what Eve bound fast through unbelief, this did Mary set free through faith.” St. Athanasius of Alexandria (died around 373 AD) wrote: “O noble Virgin, truly you are greater than any other greatness. For who is your equal in greatness, O dwelling place of God the Word? To whom among all creatures shall I compare you, O Virgin? You are greater than them all O Covenant…” These are just some examples of how the early Christians honored and praised Mary as a vital part of their faith.
The argument that John the Baptist was greater than Mary is also false. Jesus did say that among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist in Matthew 11:11, but he also added that “the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” This means that John’s greatness was relative to his role as a prophet and a precursor of Christ, but not absolute or final. John himself recognized his own unworthiness compared to Christ when he said in Matthew 3:11: “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I…He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Moreover, John himself pointed to Mary as a greater person than him when he leaped for joy in his mother’s womb at her greeting in Luke 1:41-44. This shows that John acknowledged Mary as the Mother of his Lord and the source of his joy.
The argument that Mary is also not the ark of the covenant is also blatantly false, and is clearly attested to in Scripture. What does it mean to call Mary the Ark of the New Covenant? And how does this title relate to her glorious assumption into heaven? To answer these questions, we need to go back to the Old Testament and see how God chose to dwell among his people Israel. God instructed Moses to build a tabernacle, a portable tent that served as a sanctuary for his presence. Within the tabernacle, there was a special chest made of acacia wood covered with gold, called the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark contained three sacred objects: a golden jar holding the manna, the bread from heaven that fed the Israelites in the desert; Aaron's rod that budded, a sign of his priestly authority; and the stone tablets of the covenant, on which God wrote the Ten Commandments with his own finger.
The Ark of the Covenant was not just a container, but a symbol of God's presence, power, and promise. It was also a sign of God's love for his people, who wanted to be close to them and lead them to the promised land. The Ark was so holy that no one could touch it or look at it without being struck dead. Only the high priest could enter the holy of holies, where the Ark was kept, once a year on the Day of Atonement, to offer blood for the sins of the people.
The Ark accompanied the Israelites throughout their journey in the wilderness, and later in their conquest of Canaan. It was also involved in many miraculous events, such as crossing the Jordan River, bringing down the walls of Jericho, and defeating the Philistines. The Ark was a source of joy and blessing for those who honored it, and a source of judgment and curse for those who dishonored it. The Ark was so important for Israel that when it was captured by the Philistines, they lamented: "The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured" (1 Samuel 4:22).
But where is the Ark of the Covenant now? The last time we hear about it in the Old Testament is when King Josiah ordered it to be returned to the temple in Jerusalem, after it had been neglected for a long time (2 Chronicles 35:3). After that, there is no mention of it in the historical books or in the prophets. Some traditions say that it was hidden by Jeremiah before the Babylonian invasion, or that it was taken to Ethiopia by Solomon's son. But no one knows for sure what happened to it.
However, we do know what happened to it in a spiritual sense. The Ark of the Covenant was not lost, but fulfilled. It was fulfilled in a person, a woman, who became the new and living dwelling place of God among his people. That woman is Mary, the mother of our Lord.
How do we know that Mary is the new Ark of the Covenant? We know it from the New Testament, which reveals to us many parallels and connections between Mary and the Ark. Let us look at some examples from the Gospel of Luke.

Respect for your big contribution and these days I was looking and reading a lot materials of online archives because months ago I liked to make a short video about st Paul and St Peter for my daughter ...so from the historical and theological view. Finally I found a center that can give me in a nutshell some good informations. I have three questions indeed is from my soul and my daughter ...1 Could we have the Bible or the Faith in the west without the preaching of St. Paul and St Peter and their martyrdoms ? 2 Could the East Church have the Faith, the Bible and Church without the other Apostles and disciples martyrdoms.. The last question: Why was decided that The church of Rome is named only of St Peter and not both St Peter and St Paul when St Peter have the key from Jesus before the Resurrection and St Paul took as mission and have preached everywhere in the East and in the West am..sometime I think that St Peter in thé Vatican is only one part or half because also St Paul and other Apostles have worked for the Universal mother Catholic church or I am wrong? Sorry I am Catholic I have read the Bible but I have to learn more and study more about our Faith but for now I would like to learn from your wisdom. God bless you... greetings from Belgium ..

Mamy years ago i "met" Scott at a family conference. He was in a book booth in the shopping area. I said hello to him and he didn't even look at me as if to say "cant you see im busy". Wow, what a slap in the face that was. After buying so many of his tapes and books for so long. What a let down that was. I walked away feeling so bad. I got into the elevator and there was a priest who said "Hi, have you seen scott Hahn?" I said "yes, i just saw him at the book store" . He said "will you take me to him?". So i did. Scott was nice to him, thank goodness. He asked me to take a picture of the two of them on his phone. So i did, and the priest thanked me and that was it. Needless to say, i never bought another Scott Hahn anything..and still haven't.

You completely missed where God was in that interaction.
You were sent back to Scott Hahn by the Lord’s intervention, and then you had a chance to confront Scott about that interaction because you were in front of a priest. You could have charitably asked Scott Hahn, “Why did you refuse to look at me earlier, and continue to not acknowledge me now?”. At that moment he couldn’t escape the question, because he was in the presence of a spiritual father. Priests are spiritual fathers. Their job is reconciliation and healing.
      *Matthew 18:15-20*
_Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them._
You made an assumption so you didn’t confront him. But God knew that assumption you had made, so he sent you back to give you a second chance. You will still have another chance. When it comes, go back and try again.
      God love you always.

The form of the word "Yeshua" appears 29 times in the Hebrew Scriptures, although the form "Yehoshua" appears 218 times. None of these refer to the Son of God, since he is not explicitly mentioned in the Old Testament.
We do not see "Yeshua" used in the New Testament, because it was written mostly in Greek. Instead, we see the Greek form of "Yeshua", which is "Iesos", from which we derive the Latin "Iesus", and from that the English "Jesus".
Why would Cesare Borgia, a 15th century cardinal and mercenary, be mentioned in the Bible?
