Make sure it's Parmigiano Reggiano. You can buy it at hyvee if you have one nearby. That's real parmesan. Authentic shit. Not that fake shit almost 99% of people use.
For sure the go to easy Alfredo recipe. I've never seen anyone use the shelf stable Parm cheese though. I'm sure it's tasty. I love chicken, bacon, broccoli Alfredo bake. Mix all those in a baking dish, sauce included. Top with a little shredded cheddar, Gouda, mozz, pepper jack.....whatever cheese or blend of cheeses you want. Bake till bubbly and golden brown. So good. You can serve over pasta or eat as is for a low carb version which is what I do because I have a type 1 diabetic child. Very delicious!

Easiest and fastest recipe for Alfredo sauce I've ever seen. Drizzled some of this over three cheese tortellini for dinner the other day and my family loved it! I added a handful of fresh baby spinach towards the end and let simmer for like 2 mins before serving. Absolutely delicious! 10/10 Recommend 😋

Oh I'm so glad you use real butter. I can't believe the amount of people that use margarine and call it butter. I guess they don't know the huge difference between the 2. In this recipe (and many many more) its just not the same if you use margarine.

I start mine with chicken broth then add the heavy cream and about 1/4 stick of butter garlic paste salt n pepper. And then whatever else. You get more volume and isnt as rich when u add the chicken broth. If its not to the thickness you like you can alway add a corn starch slurry

I buy block Parmigiano and Parmigiano/Reggiano, cube it and then grind in food processor. 1 block a month for the 2 of us!
