- Yes here is the session, the Quadeca x Sunday Service choir session that resulted in the climax of the song "Fractions of Infinity." To celebrate the one year anniversary of my album "I Didn't Mean To Haunt You" I decided to put together some clips from the creation of the album for the vibes & lore including the moment I got back the danny brown feature. I hope you enjoy :)

& Mike G for setting up the session and helping engineer!!
Hearing some of the laughs and random chatter in this video and realizing he incorporated that into the song is so sick
I heard that and ran to the comments to see if anyone picked that up too. Quadeca is so sick dude
EXACTLY SJJSNSJDJD
I absolutely wanna see a documentary of the whole album. Even if its 10 hours imma watch the whole thing

@@KealstYTHe redid a completed album?
Same I enjoyed this video so much it’s like watching the making of something that really helped me
@@silloweet nah I don't think so lol. Idk why they said that. He also didn't take YEARS making it either. Pretty sure it took him about a year to make.
@@silloweetI think he got Haunt your and FMTY mixed up cause pretty sure mid way through 2020 Quad kinda scrapped most of FMTY and made a lot of new stuff from scratch like Sisyphus
I remember being so excited abt this collab when the track list first came out. Can’t believe it’s been a year since peak dropped
yerp
What is peak?
I love how ben is very exact and clear about what he wants but also fully respects how experienced the choir are and allow them to have their input! They really all got into a flow together and its so cool
You might think it’s really silly, but you’re album truly changed my perspective of music. After IDMTHY, I’ve listened to so many new genres that I would’ve never tried without your album. Thank you Quadeca for creating what I think is a masterpiece. ❤
Not silly at all
if you don't mind answering, what genres did you start listening to?
@@safahasan486electronic genre and older psychedelic albums in the psychedelic genre(s). Radiohead is a great example
@@safahasan486 jesus off the top of my head the ones i gave a try include: Electro-pop, Alt-pop, Folktronica, hyperpop, glitchcore, math rock, and other things ranging from ambient to psychedelic.
Some of my artists/bands i enjoyed while digging through these genres include: midwxst, cigarettes after sex, charlie xcx, brakence, fka twigs, and ericdoa
so true bro me too
genuinely nothing could make this album more perfect its a work of art
More songs
its plenty long enough though, no need, its perfect
yeah I agree lol I was just suggesting something jokingly @@ytsorf1899
@@nasus_elyobmore would've been filler, it makes sense the way it is and is already an hour long.

Those words don’t do you justice…
Such a profound little phrase
facts.
Hard to believe its been a year since the album released already
When I met Quadeca last year at Wunderfest I asked him about the process of working and recording with the Sunday Service Choir... he talked about possibly putting this footage out eventually. So happy it's finally here!!!
fractions of infinity is my favourite song ever made, seeing this video is making me kick my legs in the air like a 12 yr old girl.
Fractions of Infinity is a top 5 Quadeca song
Fractions is my favourite song off of idmthy. Such a cool anniversary drop. 20 seconds in, I'm sure I'm watching this whole thing.

@@Rvder_it definitely is more dustcutter sounding, right around 21:44 is where you really hear it
I would LOVE a full length documentary of this kinda style, SO MUCH
PLEASE QUAD
QUAD DID*
*quad did us justice by releasing this banger album
an idmthy tiny desk concert would be insane
i love how that one member all the way on the right is adding little pieces of feedback on how to make it sound better about things like layering and harmonies, you can clearly see how they're all such music lovers
I can’t explain it but watching someone you’ve watched since you were in 7th grade and you’re 20 now, just the amount they’ve developed and evolved musically. Idk just makes me cry man
I can’t even begin to explain how happy the Picking Up Hands audio made me, I love that song so much
it’s sounds so gooodd
Bro the specific sounds and pitches he's looking for is so insane, like he's really curating such a perfect song
bro said his vocals were embarrassing whilst singing peak
OH MY GOD!! QUAD!! I HAD A FEELING YOU WERE GONNA DROP THE BTS OF THIS BEAUTIFUL ALBUM!! ON 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! HOPEFULLY WE GET MORE STUDIO QUAD!!!😩😩😩😩
found you fish
@@SuperSkyLimits GRAHHHHH YOU FOUND ME 🫣🫣🫣
That first bit of music that “amounted to nothing” sounds so beautiful. As much as I admire the idea of a little piece like that existing only as a shadow of itself, I’d really love to hear it fleshed out and whole.
5:21 THAT ONE MADE IT
One of the best tracks on the album
fr
The best I reckon
the reference was even gas 😭 quad can’t miss
this is my eras tour
Please release a full documentary idc how long it is the people need it
Quadeca is so incredible as a producer, really keeping it polite and friendly but also pushing them to get it just right and fulfill his vision for it. Wow it’s so cool to watch this
happy year of peak musix
I Didn't Mean To Haunt You is my favorite album of all time and the mini documentary at the end is just...idk dude it's so inspirational and makes me want to make a masterpiece like you did sometime. I think that's the real magic of these "The making of an album" documentaries. Seeing your favorite artists creating the music you love inspires you and has helped me make some of my best work. The albums visuals and music hit harder than anything else I've ever experienced and I LOVE how the visuals blend the albums visuals with reality. Also off topic but your STUDIO is so sick!!! If you do make a full documentary I will fucking love it!
💀
"Making of" videos/documentaries are some of my favorite things in the world. There's really nothing more inspirational than seeing an artist create, especially when you already love the outcome. It never fails to fill me up with creative energy and motivation 🙏🏻😩
happy one year to I Didn't Mean To Haunt You💗💗💗 i wasnt here from the start but it's better late than never💓
OMG i remember quadeca talked about this in the needledrop interview. SO GLAD ITS RELEASED
I’ve watched this video so many times. I love the documentary bit. Would definitely watch a full length version.
this is the coolest fucking thing ever
I love to see these type of videos of him working on the album, hoping to see more in the future
so much talent in one room ahhh😵💫
Crazy how much work goes into building these vocals. Just want to say that it does not go unnoticed Mr. Lasky. We truly appreciate this beautiful art and seeing this bts video has reassured me that this is your best work to-date even though FMTY is my fav album of yours and of all time. Thank you for giving me that title.
this song and album are so fucking important to me seeing this little BTS is actually making me cry thank you so much quadonka
this is so sick, I was listening to their part in fractions of infinity while they were singing this part and you can see the direct lineup
If there is any artist in the world that I could listen to an entire released, unreleased, demos, voice memos, and unfinished project of songs it would be Quadeca's. I can only imagine the different versions of songs that are so very great or have the potential to be great. Even the ones made just for fun. Without leaking any of it, but knowing of them as if I've heard it before and being able to hear it when I think about it. To say I enjoy your art is an understatement. I appreciate you so much and am so very excited to hear more of your work in the future.
THOSE WORDS DONT DO YOU JUSTICE
quad did
it’s so interesting seeing you build this album
OMG IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. THISE WORDS DONT DO YOU JUSTICE
BRO 18:57 NEED A FULL SONG THATS TOO FIRE TO LET SIT IN THE VAULT
I have this thing where I feel music. not just emotions or goose bumps, but also a sense of euphoria its almost unexplainable, your album resonated with my body I felt one with your music, all the feelings you conveyed I felt, I never felt so much from music before until your album, please never stop making music. QUADID
yeah certain music will unlock that for people, it definetely does for me as well
i would watch the whole process. im bouncing from the video and the album while i watch
OH SHIT ACTUAL FOOTAFE QUADECA I LOVE YOU DROP A DOC.
i love music . watching moments like this , seeing that musical spark , how naturally it flows with people , how fkn quickly ideas are created .

IDMTHY is my most appreciated and moving piece of music I've ever listened to by far, granted i mostly listen , but not exclusively, to rap. Having a documentary about it's creation, including the movie would be amazing. Can't wait to see what comes next with SCRAPYARD and more.
After watching this I immediately went and listened to fractions of infinity and just wow, QUAD DID, SUNDAY SERVICE CHOIR DID, incredible, so nice to see how my favourite song came together
First! Love the addition of the Sunday service choirs
This is so cool to see the process especially with the building of the choir vocals to the way it came out at the end. Really hope you get around to editing the entire IDMTHY doc at some point because the process behind how you made this album sounded so fun but also really challenging and inspiring. Can't wait for SCRAPYARD III
This album got me through a hard time. thank you for this
I need more making of/behind the scense videos from this album, it's so interesting
Quad is a man of the people, love u for this
Omg he posted
Watching the behind the scenes to one of my favorite songs of all time is absolutely insane.. thank you for uploading this 💪❤️ (those words definitely did justice)
this just goes to show how much work is put in beyond just the music. people gave him a hard time because he disappeared from his socials, then you see this and realize it’s because of dedication. take your time on something you’re truly passionate about and don’t stop until you get the results you want. IDMTHY is THE best album i’ve ever heard. good fucking work.
Fractions of Infinity is probably my favorite song of all time, this is awesome
Thank you Quadonka, very cool
Dude your music is so beautiful and it makes me shed a tear each time 😫
this album has and continues to mean so much to me it goes beyond words. excited for the scrapyard projects but idmthy will always be in my heart, love you quad
Such a amazing and unique album. I still remember my first listen through of the album, felt like I was in another dimension
oh my god a idmthy documentary would be everything, obviously prioritize what speaks to you in your creative process but just being able to learn more about one of the most impactful album rollouts on my understand of myself, my place, and what art can be, would be so incredible. love ya work quad can't wait to see what you have in the works, scrapyards been heat
Ive been waiting for this for ages🙏
It's so fascinating to see this process, oddly soothing.
Happy birthday quadcar!
i NEED a full documentary. biblically, fundamentally, desperately
Shoutout Mike G but also to you Quad
Seeing you engineer everything and give direction is what truly makes you one of a kind
Wish you had more recognition
it’s so cool seeing the amount of collaboration that went into such a simple yet beautiful line. so damn inspiring
I need that full documentary so bad 😭
i still can’t believe this feature
The reference song is beautiful too

the leader guy is so cool omg
Incredibly talented group of people all together in the same room 🔥🔥
this was incredible to watch. tysm for this quad
This was great, would love a full length doc!
BEST ALBUM EVER CERTIFIED THOSE WORDS DONT DO YOU JUSTICE CLASSIC
I will literally cry if there is a making of documentary omfg
It’s so cool to know what the man looks like who’s laugh I’ve heard so many times in this song 😂😂

OH YEAH

Quadeca, plzzzzzz drop a full documentary of the BTS of this album, it’s soooo goood.
i would 100% watch a doc on the album
Quad just sitting on a whole documentary (footage) like we wouldn't eat this up in any form
the fact that he started on it when he was 20 and released it at 22
As soon as I heard that this video existed I knew we needed it, glad he dropped it on the anniversary and I’d love more behind the scenes of the recording for this album too
one of my favorite parts on my favorite track of the album
Need more of these videos !
