After an amaizng time kayaking on the rivers outside of Glacier National Park in Montana and bridge jumping into glacial blue water in our last episode, we get the girls up early for sunrise up at the top of Going To The Sun Road in the park! Of course, donuts and coffee… or hot chocolate for the girls were involved!
Our first stop was Lake McDonald to skip some rocks and get some photos along the shore! Logan Pass Visitor Center parking was full by 7:45am, so we found a stunning pullout to have donuts and enjoy the view! We always love visiting a park or favorite location for the second time, as we seem to be able to relax more and take it all in on a whole new level.
We sadly said, “See you later” to our friends, @grantinggrace and headed to Bozemen, Montana, to check on a friend’s property there for them. We were able to do a few projects on the truck, and Corey finally got a new Green Mountain Grill Davy Crocket pellet grill to replace the one that broke. He had been lost without his smoker!
Montana is also a great place if you need to make a big purchase like Corey replacing all of his Dewalt Cordless tools as there is no sales tax there! It was like Christmas Day!

Those picture of your drive up to LP are great.....but the sight of those DeWalt tools in the truck were breathless....(enter Tool Time Tim's ooh, ooh, ooh here). Imagine a shot of Lake McDonald colored rock shoreline, calm water, the reflection of the mountains, camera pans to right where Cory is delicately cutting thru an apple fritter with a DeWalt sawsall breaking the silence and serenity.....love your sharing your journey!

I only caught on to you guys a few weeks ago through KYD and must say that you have become my favorite channel. Love the photography and video quality. And as a Dad to two girls (both now grown) you guys are on the right track in sharing life experiences and creating such special forever memories along the way. We did Glacier on motorcycles. You feel the temperature change, the smell of campfires, the curves of the road. While over the pass a snow arch (The hollow crust left behind by melting) in August collapsed and buried the Going to the Sun road under 15' of snow. There's no bypass, so we just waited while they got a front end loader and shoveled snow over the side of the mountain! I can't imagine being right there when it happened!
Glacier is the most beautiful place in the US, coming from a guy who hated Yellowstone in August. But don't tell anyone, otherwise they'll all go.
Sounds like quite the adventure! Going to the Sun on a bike must be amazing! And it would be insane to see an avalanche close the road! 😳
Your comments are so spot on about being able to relax and enjoy a location more the second time you visit. Agenda is out the window and you just soak in the experience. Next time you go, could I ride in the bed of the truck? I don't see myself driving our dually up the side of the mountain...
Your videography is really good. Some day I'll get there. As many times as I've been up there, it never gets old. I've been to Yellowstone a lot, and it is spectacular, but there is just something about Glacier. Maybe because its home. Once again glD you enjoyed a little part of our life. Happy Trails.

Just wanted to say, I grew up going to Yosemite, Yellowstone, High Sierras & lots in between! Have been in Washington state for 50 yrs., on the Puget Sound! I love seeing place's I've never been & those places I have! Always wanted to see Maine, I love it!

It was more fun to watch y'all visit the second time. Y'all were more relaxed and that made it more fun. It's so nice to be able to moochdock at friends and family. We spent 3 weeks at my aunt and uncle's farm this summer and our daughters had a blast running around the barns and playing with the chickens and kittens.
That smoker looks awesome. I'll have to look into that one when we get a bigger RV.

We just got back from Glacier and it was the most amazing place I have ever been.
Just another wonderful episode one of my favorites. These are the one I like the most, just spending time with your wonderful family. And not showing off other people toys which is fun but not my favorite but still enjoy watching.
We are going for the first time next May and are very excited to check one more National Park off our list and see, in person, all of this beauty! Thanks for the lake recommendation...we would have taken the East side highway and never knew what we were missing! So now I think we'll go up to the park on the East side and come back down from the park via the West! Got my hubby the same GMG for Father's Day this year...he's done more cooking since than he's done the past 5 years on a regular grill! We love it! Happy Travels you guys!

So much more color than the last week of June, a bit drab. Also your wearing jackets at 8am where the heat wave saw 100 at West Glacier and 85 @ Logan. Ironically trails were closed due to snow.

Another, item, the challenge I had with Davey was having to vacuum out the burner and reload. It was challenging when there was no power. Smoke On
I typically have to vacuum out every 6th or 7th time or it doesn’t start the first cycle. If you turn it off and on right away it will start on the second try a few more times until you really need to vacuum it out. I use a spoon in the firebox in a pinch otherwise I use my battery powered shoo vac.
Love your stuff ! Really enjoyed seeing GNP again as I was there last year this time. Not traveling much this year because of some blood sugar issues,…please limit the doughnuts. Safe travels!

I too have a Green Mountain Davy Crockett smoker and use it everywhere we camp. We mostly boondock and love that it works on a 12 Volt battery jumper or solar battery pack for days. I liked the OLD handle much better! My unit must be old since the drip pan on my mine is made of two plates that sit on top of each other with holes in them. I have been looking at the Camp Chef and other portables, but still haven't found that works on 12 volts, is truly portable, and smokes as well as the Davy. FYI, there is a small serviceable fuse on the control board (older units) that blows when reversing polarity.

Pictures almost have a 'fake' aspect to them with the smoke. Beautiful. Was there a month ago, cousin had a GoPro 360 out of his sunroof and a car came by and hit his mirror; same spot as around 10:55 on your video. He caught the strike on his video, saw their tag (they were on his side). Fortunately, his mirror was fine but we got to see the other car's was not OK. Good video. Stay safe and enjoy.

Great shots. We did a trip in the North West states the whole month of July. We were in the Glacier Park during the second week of our trip. Yall make taking photos and videos look so easy.

We just drove that road last week. Really wished we would of kayaked the river. Enjoy your time in Bozeman, we call it home! It’s been so Smokey this summer we can’t see the mountains most days.

We found out the hard way in 2014.
We needed 4 new tires after cutting the rear down due to all wheel drive...
But still more than worth it!!

I have owned that GM smoker for at least 8 years now. I love it, so out and buy a high quality whole chicken in a market and cook it in that grill, best chicken I have ever had. I love my little GM grill.
Oh wow 8 years that’s awesome! We have only had one for about 3 years, sad to see they discontinued it(the new one is way different now) we cook 2 chickens every thanksgiving instead of turkey. You’re right, it’s so good!

Once again a great video. I am watching you all from the beginning to get to know you. I want a pellet smoker now. Teaching Lilly to drive the rig was great. Get her to set up the seat mirrors and steering wheel. That will boost her confidence and ability.
Fireweed is pretty much done here in northern Alberta 🇨🇦. 😔camping for my hubs and I come to a close at end of September.

WOW! beautiful scenery. We hope to go to Glacier next June or early July. When were you there? Did you need reservations to go on the sun road? Your truck is bigger than ours, did you have any difficulty on the road? How far is it to walk to the lake where you jumped off the rocks, from the parking area? Your girls are so pretty.

I carry 2 grills 22" Blackstone Adventure Series and a Royal Gourmet 1001. For me, because I use my tools so little and usually light duty I buy the cheap stuff at Harbor Freight and over the last 10 years they have never failed me and I hate batteries so I always go cord. I also am always at a campground with full power if something goes wrong I don't care about the cancelation fee. PS I like the T-handle also. Have a great time at the ranch. from a fellow New Englander.

They may have changed the handle on the grill b/c the rounded shape won't snag on things like the T style.
I was 60 years old and so upset that daddy wouldn’t let me get a picture with the Yellowstone sign. And we were there for 3 days. That means 6 trips in and out by the sign! Lol. I really wanted one.

Tried to get my wife to take pictures going up but she was petrified with the steep drop off on passenger side! We were lucky, this was several years ago and plenty of parking at Logan Pass so we could hike some.
Amazing how much Lily has grown up in the last 2 years.. she's so funny... I can't wait for you guys to do Yosemite for the second time..
She has changed and grown so much. We are excited to get back to Yosemite again SOMEDAY!
