Of all your landscapes that I have viewed so far, this is the most stunningly beautiful, the gorgeously beautiful sky behind the mountain peaks is breathtaking, and the mountains look soooo real, I would swear that it was a picture post card photo. My goodness you are clever, talented, gifted. it's mind-blowing. You get the picture, pardon the pun. And I haven't overstated anything.!!!!

Thanks, I‘ve been making embroidery for the past 2 years. Usually for a landscape like this takes about 50 hrs or more. I use real pictures as reference mostly, but often modify the scene

Yes, I used only 1 strand for the whole piece
How do you know when to change the color? Are you looking at the picture? How do you know where the shades go?
I look at a reference picture when I do this kind of realistic work.
