Glad you didn't end up paying over the odds for this one. I was able to find it at local grocery stores for a little more than the regular release, so maybe that influenced my enjoyment of it!

Yeah me too! It's certainly not bad but felt too muted and not enough oomph to justify the hunt. Cheers Matt!

Well I’m glad I’ve cured your FOMO 😂 I suppose it’s a good thing because it’s hard to get now, I totally agree with your more muted nose + banana addition though, I think it’s great to mention that because most won’t guess that going in, it surprised me too. I do get a bit of like a papaya note which turns it a little sweeter and more tropical for me which anything tropical I love so I do prefer the proof for that but I’m with you. I don’t think people should overpay trying to track this one down. I think I paid around €45 in cork duty free near release day so the price I was really happy about I’m also interested in the CS but it’s very pricey maybe 120 ish from memory! Great review my friend

Thanks Ash you really did cure it 😃 I'm not so familiar with papaya so I couldn't comment on it but overall the Proof felt a bit lacking which upset me. I suppose at the end of the day it is a young blended Irish whiskey and we can't expect too much from it just because the abv is higher.
Thank you again for this opportunity, much appreciated
