I love your spreads and journal's but I will say this, stop doing what you did with an A5. An A4 can be your bujo/study session/ note taking journal. That's the quality of an A4, its an all rounder without shutting it in a box. You can create 4 spreads in 2 pages and still have enough space. You can mash different themes into it and call it your own. You could start an A4 Bujo trend with just that. 😊
Thanks for your comment, I absolutely agree, I was definitely shutting myself in a box, sadly I’m already at the end of the journal, I’m no longer a student and just found that I couldn’t stray away from certain A5 spreads haha! But, I’m pinning your comment for others, if they ever feel inspired to try an A4!
Thank you! I have been using a B5 and loving the extra space compared with A5. I guess I’m A4 curious now! Really appreciated hearing about your experience. And your journal is gorgeous! 😍
had one, still using it. Love it. I'm getting another A4 for next year. It works well for me because I don't travel with my journaling stuff because I do all that at home where I'm comfie and relaxed and less likely to make a mistake. I take pictures of the pages so I can just look at what I want to see on my phone. Less junk to carry. I want nothing but what is absolutely necessary to carry.
Thanks a lot! A very useful video! I’m still in two minds. I have a lovely A4 notebook waiting, but I’m afraid it is too heavy for me… No idea what to do with it🤔 Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Your journal is lovely! Hop over to CA and make me one, ok? 😉 I’m definitely a minimalist, an A4 would probably last me 3 years, which would be a whole different issue 😂. Still beautiful!! I’d just look at the art, no planning involved 😅
I've been journalling for the past 4 years but my style is more 'writing' based where i write a lot of my thoughts out. Seeing your journal really blew my mind at how aesthetically pleasing it is to look at wow. What sort of marker pens do you use to colour? I actually own some copics as i used to draw a lot of anime as a kid but im pretty sure theyll bleed right through the pages haha. Great video btw! Im looking to buy an A4 journal as my current A5 OTTO dot journal is almost full.
Oh thank you so much for your comment! I use a variety of pens, but the bleeding is a problem you can solve with a thicker GSM! I think the pens I used were from: Tombow (dual brush & fudenosuke) Archer & Olive Acrylographs (I’m a brand ambassador them, so VERO10 for 10% off ;) ), Ecoline Brush pens from Royal Talens (such juicy pens, that’s the best way to describe them haha), then my everyday black muji 0.5 ink pen. I think those are the main ones!
@@codervince4957 that is true, it is very expensive, however you can’t beat the quality. That being said, they do have quarterly subscription boxes that could be worth it! And I believe there maybe one or two stockists in Australia!
As somebody who uses both, I think an A4 is more worth it if it serves other purposes, like a sketchbook or place to take notes'n stuff. I've got a pretty A5 for personal stuff and a barebones A4 I use for work (I have to keep them separate since I handle confidential info). It holds all my scheduling, notes, and project organization wonderfully. The journal's got lighter weight paper since I don't do any painting in it and lives in a padfolio with a handle, which helps with the portability issue. I love the space it gives me for all the things I need but definitely would lose my head trying to fill up that whole monster with fancy art week after week. You're brave for doing it for a whole six months!
This is definitely an interesting point! I’ve found that I’m starting to use A4 journals at work now, I too keep work and personal separate! And like you my work one is barebones as well 😍
Beautiful journal! I am very jealous 🙈 I am guilty of having to different planners, a filofax and an A4 bullet journal. My filofax is for appointments, to do’s and other important stuff. My bullet journal is my diary and where I write about my feelings and my mental health. I could fit it in my filofax, but what if I forget it somewhere and anyone can read about my secrets? I would honestly die 😨
I definitely feel having a separate journal for feelings! I used to combine them but then started taking photos of my journal and didn’t want to have to hide things all the time haha

@@Verobujo I was going to buy a B5 archer olive journal but didnt realise it was all US prices. Even shipping to australia is $30USD. damn lol.

Hello there, Letter size and A4 are not the same
Thank you for the correction 😋
