Excellent reality video! The 14 dollar tent creased me. ? Reproofing spray.
That breakfast at Ceduna was definitely a morale lifter.
The Police car could have been fatal - unforgivable.
A roller coaster trip - loved it.

Happy to put up with a little water for $14 as tent is tiny. Yeah, best brekky ever mate and you're right about that coppers dodgy manoeuvre. I was shocked at the time. Glad you enjoyed it!

Great series mate. Really well done, stunning camera work, commentary and some pretty cool learnings as at some stage I will do the trip on my 88`R100RS. It seems your back kept up alright, did you have any issues with things hurting ? Cheers GR

Thanks very much. Glad you enjoyed it. To answer your question, I had two constraints. The first was time - I was on a fairly strict schedule and had to get back to Perth as quickly as possible, so this set the pace of the trip. Secondly, I made a pact with my wife not to overdo the sightseeing as she hasn't done the trip yet, isn't retired, and really wants to do it with me. With these things considered, I had the hammer down. So, the first day I covered less territory than I would have liked. General fatigue and lack of bum fitness. Then I slept on a thin, hard mattress on rocky ground. This wasn't terribly bad and actually did wonders for my back as the trip went on. Day two saw the malaise getting better and by day 3 I felt fighting fit. No issues with pain, just a little nerve memory of the buzzing vibration. In summary, I think a lot will be in your head. I remember with the Triumph trip thinking (at the 2 hour mark), "I don't think I can do this, it's insane". Don't underestimate the comfort of these bikes or your own resilience.

    Why no gloves?

In what context? Wrenching or riding?

I wore gloves riding in this video. I did move the bike into the camping spot without gloves - perhaps that's what you saw? Check 16:37 if you want definitive proof lol.

Oh, my bad! I thought you were referring to my most recent video. You are 100% correct in your observation. I had arrived late, and "jumped on the bike" to get food and fuel without gloves. All viewers should always wear gloves.
