Bucks County has 2 high points tied for highest within a quarter mile of each other. I settled on the western option because I had permission to access the land thanks to Kathleen at Flint Hill Farm. The farm is actually Lehigh County but the southern border is the county line. The farm was hosting a Spring Open House and I was invited to play some live music. Before my concert I scouted the area out and noticed an ideal group of trees just across the property line. I knocked on the front door of the home of Jim Laubach and asked permission to climb his trees. Jim cheerfully granted permission. I went back to the farm to play my concert and then rounded up a group of people who wanted to see the climb. This included my friends Jesse and Beth Jones, Tait Brotman, and Chelsea Killam. The area showed a lot of Oak mortality, likely a result of previous Spongy Moth attacks. This non-native insect is originally from Asia and was intentionally brought to America for use in the silk industry. It continues to cause devastation to our Oak trees.

Keep 'em coming Van! That view down from the top was a little gnarly this time.
