Thank you, Emily. This is a great tutorial. As many of the comments posted here, you explain everything in great detail, rather than leaving everyone wondering what exactly was done such colors used. Thanks again!
Hi Miss.Olson, I just wanted to say that you are an incredible watercolorist and i love your art so much!Your tutorials are really helping my art career out. thanks, Sabrine
How can someone be so perfect I have been water colouring since years and I tried to make it like you trust me with the help of your tutorial trust me it became my most realistic artwork u r such an inspiration for me I these words are nothing as compared to you artwork work AMAZING!!! God bless u
this was great to watch Emily! thanks for sharing..I would have never thought to do the black inside the eye (scary to do!) as you did..but it worked really well..
Yes! I think the scariest moment in a painting is when you've invested a lot of time in it (almost to the end!) and you have to paint a detail that could make (or break!) the painting! Livin' on the edge, lol.
Thank you Emily. This was a great tutorial. It was easy to follow, and I like the fact you used just a small color pallet. I love your work and I look forward to learn more with you.
I tried to follow your steps, the eye lashes and eyebrows were the hardest to recreate and it didn’t look very natural, but I’ll keep practicing, thank your for your tutorials and for the inspiration
Thank you so much for showing GREY color eye, everybody like to make tutorials with green-blue eyes, but hard to find simple grey eye and make it not to look like a fish eye...👍🏻😍 love your style of painting !!!
wonderful drawing ,after long struggle on finding the correct tutorial for me found ur tutorials these are just amazing would definitely recommend my friend of this ,just loved ur drawings and tutorials......
Ma'am your art skills are phenomenal.... I was not able to make just like yours but still a bit of it .. thanks a zillion for such a wonderful tutorial i have ever seen...👏👏👏👏🤗🤗
This was wonderful. I am only 14 so I am no professional at art but I do love it. You have such talent and you create such beauty. I am going to have a go at it now! Wish me luck! God bless x
Thank you Emily. Your work is wonderful! I don't have the certain brand colors used. Mainly Winsor and newton. What colors could I substitute for the colors listed. I'm thinking about taking your other courses. Do we have to use the brand that you suggest with those colors? Or are substitutions listed as well
Thank you! Other ways to create "white" are to 1) simply paint around the highlights, 2) use white acrylic or gouache paint, 3) "mask" the area using a wax crayon
He showed the method of water color in a very beautiful way. The art is so beautiful because you are there. Well, I do not use a brush to make water color with the fingers of the hand, there is no problem ??
Great tutorial on eyes. I’d be afraid to add those veins in the whites of the eye. If you were doing a portrait and you were working on a much smaller scale would you add them? I’m not sure how much detail to put into a small portrait with smaller eyes.
No, for a smaller portrait I would definitely not add those details. You have to decide what the most important elements are for the most impact in a painting, and leave out anything that distracts from the focal point.
Absolutely beautiful Emily, i have perfected eye close ups in graphite but this is next level the colour makes all the difference. Thank you so much for the inspiration for my next intensive study.
Hello, how to get and mix face colors in watercolors. Please teach me the details of mixing face and blonde hair colors in detail in the next program. Thank you for your kindness and philanthropy.🌻🌼🌼🌻
I'm trying to remember, lol! I think I used a combination of watered down indigo and moonglow, and hints of burnt sienna and alizarin crimson for the warm hints.
Alternatives would be to paint around the highlights, or to use a wax crayon, but these won't look exactly the same. You could also use white opaque paint like acrylic, gouache, or Dr. PH Martin's Bleed Proof white to paint on the highlights.
Even I tried and my parents were amazed
You are that UA-cam creator ive been waiting for all my life

It is very beautiful❤❤
Thank you!

Mam,I love to watch the process fabulous art🌟
Thank you!
Amazing! Loved it☺
Which sheet did you use for the painting?
I used my Fabriano Artistico 140lb cold press.
@@EmilyOlsonArt oh Thanks 😊
This is amazing ❤️❤️
Do you have to use masking fluid ?
No such thing as "have to" in art! You can use white gouache or acrylic, you can choose to paint around the white, or you can use a white gel pen.
@@EmilyOlsonArt ok thank you so much you inspire me to practice art more
What number was the very first brush you used ? To put the water and skin to me in the beginning?
Hello, I was wondering if you could please let me know the site you mentioned you got the image from. Thank you!
Sure thing! Pixabay is the site.
Thank you!
This is awesome ! What is the brush, brand and number, you're using for eyebrows and eyelashes ?
Sure! For those tiniest of details I used my synthetic Escoda Versatil size 2 round brush.
@@EmilyOlsonArt Thank you 😉

I'm trying to remember, lol! I think I used a combination of watered down indigo and moonglow, and hints of burnt sienna and alizarin crimson for the warm hints.
