these videos with the techno guys : wall to wall synths drum machines massive mixing console . these videos with drum and bass guys : i use fruity loops
Maybe because its kind of hard/impossible to make good breakbeats with drum machine. Also there are plenty of dnb guys with loads of synths. I make dnb and I have a pretty substantial hardware setup 😉
@FullFledged2010 way more complexity differences between styles and arrangements. Techno is loop based so the complexity is in the patching and sound design and d&b its the arrangements and sound design..... no?
@@digitalcomplexity Yup. couldn't have said it better. although you can incorporate hardware in dnb just as easily. Even drum machines to accentuate certain drum hits. Modular is a different story though ^^
It's a unreleased, white label, bootleg of a forbidden dnb style never to be released but only teased by submarine himself. Basically yeah it's part of he's private/secret arsenal.
What do you mean by “Opponent of Loudwar?” If it’s compression, there are a bunch of people I know of in House music & Tech House (DJ Sneak, and David Alvarado) that do not believe in using compression for mastering. If you are using drum samples, they are mastered anyways, so going overboard with compression on drums can make a mess. Sorry for long winded post in English, do run it through translate, (I have to work on translation of responses in other languages)
@@sawtooth808 That was a typo, i meant the "loudness war" which is a trend in modern music in which music becomes more and more loud, meaning that the RMS and LUF levels becoming smaller and smaller :) As i said it belongs to some genres as a part of its aestheic, in this way Dj sneak and others also dont use compression anymore but instead use clippers and limiters which really makes music loud ;)
@@submarine_music Danke for clearing that up, different labels would indeed have a different sound and having a knowledgeable mastering engineer helps if one can afford it. Great interview, it is great to see Fl Studio used for something like Drum and Bass (people it’s not the DAW, it’s the user that uses the DAW)
Homie Submarine. FL Family ;)
Dope interview!!!
One of the best dnb sound designers in the game!
Down to earth and pragmatic approach.

Have to support even if not exactly my style of music

Sympathischer Typ.
sympatico
That was great, hadn't heard of this guy. Was hoping to catch a glimpse of this "Overcast" pedal, is it in the video?
Nice
Seeing someone use FL Studio rather than Ableton for electronic music is instant like for me.
Iwy 👍🎶🎧😃
Sympathisch

y yall use the t-mobile logo lol
Not related to the artistic side of things, but I hope he will fix the green/black mold on the wall behind him, dangerous to his health!
What is the track that was playing in the beginning
Please find out. 🙏
Thanks for sharing content, as always.
I have to say though, his music is a bit like his haircut, brand new, but has been done many times before…
Sardoche?
T-Mobile
I tried looking up some of his music. Ridiculously difficult. Too common a name.
Try searching "submarine drum and bass" he has made some great stuff over the years.
He is on Spotify
