A little more info regarding the desert route to Fontaine, you can actually see it in-game right now. The “ancient path of the pilgrims” is located north of the Purification Spring domain by the Hills of Barsom. If you venture there, you can spot a very detailed area outside of the playable area north of the blossom tree that leads through a large archway in the cliff with wind blowing through it. I’m extremely confident that this is what will lead us to Romaritime Harbor, which as the name implies, means that there is going to be water we’ll have to cross to reach it. Augustus mentioning that this is the more “adventurous route” to Fontaine may also imply that this will be the route we take first.
You best believe I'm gonna be checking this out just like I did that little tunnel from the chasm into sumeru thanks for this my g
I've always considered Sznezya to be northwest of Mondstadt. They seem to have strong cultural ties to Mondstadt, Venti was once friends with Tsaritsa, and Mondstadt was once also a land of Ice. So it will be interesting to see how it connects to the other regions too.
And snezyan diplomats and people are mostly in mondstadt.
@@aleksamilosevic8792 I think that is true, but also because they didn't overtly stage a coup in Mondstadt they are still nominally in good standing. In Liyue they still have some bankers and merchants, but are under close surveillance now due to Tartaglia's actions. The Fatui in the Chasm show they were on pretty good terms before that. And in Inazuma there was fallout with them helping and sabotaging both sides of the war, and the shogun kills a harbinger and they are salty about it. Sumeru I think partly due to distance from Sneznya there are less merchants there, but also a strong presence of Eremite mercenaries means theres less room for Fatui to operate freely without competition. They tend to bribe various Eremite bands to do the work for them instead of committing too many footsoldiers.

@@nagaraventeel5952 it's also possible that hoyo will pull a GAA on us and never mention anything related to what we learned in the veluriyam mirage as if we never stepped foot in there until the next summer event. We probably won't get confirmation is what I'm saying.

Oh yeah I should also mention that on the Northern side of Sumeru in that newer region that they added with Greenery in the desert if you go to the Northwest side of it you can see the Natlan island chain

Nathan is southern west and near to Sumeru Desert from 3.1 (Rumors have Tallest Volcano in the Teyvat)
Fontaine is Center of Teyvat and upper portion of Sumeru Desert (3.6)
Snezynaha was located to northern Teyvat (rumors have large size compared to Sumeru map)
Khaeriah was Underneath of Teyvat.
I'm expecting Natlan to show Gigachad Varka + Capitano, do not disappoint me Hoyoooo

Iydia also mention part of the reason why Oceanid self exile is that the water in Fountaine is change. We know from Liben that the water is poluted added to Nymph Dream artifacts lore, Rhodeia that they don't like the new Archon.
If combine all the info, it can be assume the new government of Focalor approve the new technology for Fountaine development but it contaminated the water and caused harm to Oceanids. The Oceanids self exile to find another land for survival
I'm convinced Bennett is from Natlan and will have big significance in the plot there. Meanwhile I am hoping Amber finally gets story attention with the new village in Liyue, due to her grandfather being seen in the area.

A Mondstadt Adventurer found him abandoned in a hostile place far away, which is vague but Natlan would be far away and potentially hostile terrain. I think the main connection people see is he looks visibly similar to the Natlan character in the chapter teaser. White hair, green eyes, bandage on nose. Plus he is Pyro.
@@TheCselatlan’s citizens actually have mostly red hair because of murata, plus bennett wasn’t found in natlan he was found in mare jivari, which is the edge of the world of teyvat. we still don’t know if mare jivari is completely in natlan, or halved between natlan and the sumeru desert. it could be that he’s from natlan, or he could be an outlander too.
@@hellbunniez3 Theres really has been such a lack of Natlan info its impossible to make any claims. We have only seen Natlan people from the manga (and they were all related) and the chapter trailer, and additionally we dont know where Mare Jivari is, and it never says Bennett was found there in any case. Anything is possible.

If you climb the Jade Chamber and look South West towards Watatsumi Island there is a new island chain being constructed, connecting the mysterious lone house in the dead zone to these new islands

Chenyu vale was spot on
Last night I had a dream that Fontaine released and we started off in the sewers. The water was so dark and I was scared that the fish would bite me so I couldn't even dive to unlock the first waypoint 😭
I think chenyu vale will be smaller than depicted in this vid with fontaine extending over more towards mondstadt and the top of qingce village as that area through to dvalins nest is all lakes and rivers with large snowcapped mountains, just as we saw in the fontaine teaser where an aquaduct with boats running on it passes through a mountainous area with lakes and rivers passing underneath (seen at 7:15 ) . it would also make sense given the oceanid boss fight is also right in that area, and the wishfull drops event showed that members of the lochfolk made their way to springvale.
with that shape it also allows mondstadt to extend north (it is the northmost region apparently) and allowing scheznaya to be placed in the north west of the map above fontaine and next to mond.
Am I the only person perplexed because no one we've met talks about Natlan? We met someone from Inazuma (in Liyue) before Inazuma opened up and learned a bit about it from various people. Fontaine people have been all over the place. We have not met anyone from Natlan! No one! And we've never met an NPC from there either.
I do hope we see Natlan NPCs in Fontaine.

I have heard this theory where the Mare Jivary is in between sumeru desert and Natlan. Also, according to the lavawalker artifacts, if I am not mistaken, there is going to be another version of oceanid like a Pyro version of it, and apparently, it is called the Phoenix

since there's a river right below the speculated bayda harbour area, it's probable that the speculated area is somewhat accurate considering theres a bunch of rivers that lead to port ormos too
Ngl I’m already prepared for edits with your ‘Natlan is like a dream come true’ when Natlan is released
i just like to imagine the time when we get doormans port etc. and it just looks even better than than our current regions with the trend of quality always going up with some really sick world quest there that's derailing slightly from the main story line and is accessible to new players. And then instead of you starting the game newly and having to help book nerd to find a book on a grass plain with hilichurls to level your adventure rank, you get some really sick region with a sick storyline. Because right now, not gonna lie, convincing people to play genshin is always like "you have to play like half a year to get to sumeru for the real juicy stuff".
Not saying that the beginning of genshin isn't nessercary or bad but just saying. Would be cool to have something pretty sick when you are still new to the game.
I got to Sumeru within weeks of starting. And I finished the archon quests for the whole game in about four months. It doesn't take nearly as long as you say.
@@bookswithike3256 i watch / have watched loads of people play the game. Half a year is probably around the average it takes most people to get to the sumeru story. Of course if you play it multiple times a week for multiple hours you can do it way faster but most people just play it more casually.
If you even have 1 powerful friend, they can help save time by helping you get ascension materials for your characters. This makes steadily progressing the Archon Quests flow better with no downtime even for F2P.

I would like to mention that trains aren't the only thing that uses rails for travel. There's minecarts, railcars and railbuses. Yes, railbuses exist even today. A railbus is a lightweight railcar with the construction a kin to a bus. The construction of a railbus is having a bus (original or modified) body with 4 wheels (2 axles) place on rails. it was made in the 1930's and used on railways that hasn't seen much use for a period of time. The railbus has evolved into present day by making it more aerodynamic and fuel efficient. Although, it is usually called a railcar, railcar and railbus can be used interchangeably to describe it.
The aquabus is more like a boat or farry on a tall water railway (note a railway doesn't need tracks to be a railway it just need to be constrained to a single path.) In this case, the railway is more of a tall sky bridge filled with water. On the naming if a passenger boat travelling by sea is called a farry. Then it is responsible to call a passenger boat on a railway a waterbus or aquabus. It is not able to be called a train as a train is multiple railcars(carts) chained together to hold a large number of passengers at once. Thus it cannot just be called a train if you're talking about the proper naming
Idk why I decided to make this comment perhaps it's because he said "just call it a train" and I thought of the buses that were used in the olden days of America used on the streets connected to rails heheh.
Tldr: railbuses exist, rails do not mean tracks, and a boat on rails cannot be called a train since it's only one cart
After I had a look west from the last area's highest spot, I don't think there's enough room for any location further left. As in, there I is still space comparable to a whole region, but I think it is all reserved for covering up the edge of polygon terrain. So that you can't see the edge clearly after reaching the border of the playable area. You can already see cube-like cuts of terrain and the edge itself, but it takes looking into pixels.
the “stopped after the cannon incident” then the question of “using something more dangerous” feels off place if wasnt in the context of genshin, like “yeah, they got hurt so lets use this more dangerous thing instead lol”
but for genshin, it could be that the cannon was a tech that non-vision bearers could use, but as IRL cannons, require a lot of maintenance, so after the accident is better to leave with the “vision cannon” which could be just an amplifier of the vision’s elements and a scope, so its less maintenance and easier to control misfiring

If that turns out to be accurate then we can now assume that over the top of Fontaine would be Snezhnaya and the actual span size would be from the left-most side of Fontaine to the harbors of Monstadt.
Which was previously leaked from the leaked whole map of Teyvat. Tbh although it's only a speculation, that leaked whole teyvat map is starting to make sense now. Cuz even though some of the landscape are different you can't deny that some are accurate af.
I have a possibility that they are gonna make us do like pipe-underground exploration because they showed us some sewers in the livestream that day so maybe some underground sewer exploration?

Natlan is most likely South America IIRC
just from what i know Mondstadt is germany and old europe,Liyue is China,Inazuma is Japan,Fontaine is france with a mix of british and europe post industrial revolution era, Natlan is mostly precolonial america south america and i think little bit of africa also cus from what i heard Iansan name is african inspired,Sneznaya is Russia and other slavic countries.
Dunno for sure about Natlan, but Sumeru seems to be inspired by Achaemenid Empire. Also, Snezhnaya might be inspired by multiple Slavic countries, not just Russia.

Idk, Dragonspine is still my personal favorite 'isolated' region so far, the sheer cold made the place actually dangerous and thrilling to explore, maybe it's rose tinted glasses or nostalgia but I had some of the most fun I've ever had exploring in genshin that winter when it released, so I'd be super excited for another one like it.
I'm looking forward to the Volcano portion of Natlan. But, I hope we get a nice lush Jungle too. But, I'm most excited for the potential Natlan characters.

Soo exited to see new region this is the reason i play genshin to see new areas new music but honestly I like to see region pre sumeru updated like mond have more wildlife unique to the region like i think anemo serpent and flying hilichurls are more suitable to mond probably add some flying island, Inazuma has more habitable island with the local and lore probably yokai stuff and liyue probably chenyu vale has also similiar aesthetic to the chasm but different cuz i like chasm atmosphere very much
off topic question, will you ever make videos about character hangouts? the first few aren’t that lore heavy but the newer ones exolain a lot about characters and it would be nice to see you play them

seeing that north of the desert is the 'samudra' coast, i say its safe to assume that there would be lots of water between sumeru and fontaine since samudra can be translated to sea/ocean

Probably more Liyue and/or Sumeru. At least we know for a fact that the blackcliff forge should be somewhere around there.

It's most likely a coast line. I manage to sneak a peak. And south west of the Chasm it seems to. Ve the beginning of the southern coast line of sumeru. But east of the Chasm I thinks it's tge area that contains black cliff forge before it reached liyue's southern coast line .

Wonder what they'll do with the regions between Inazuma, Liyue, and Sumeru. Maybe we'll possibly get expansions to for Liyue and Inazuma down the line? It doesn't make sense for them to just kind of leave a portion of the map unreachable (I think the general consensus is that Snezhnaya is in the northern part of the map, and I'm thinking that Snezhnaya might be pretty big as well).

Fontaine is to the west. There's a line during the current summer event where it states that the Fontaine NPC headed east thru the desert. At most, it will be just northwest of the watery area near Vourukasha Oasis.
It has to connect to Liyue too, we already know that based on Liben saying he arrived in Mondstadt by travelling from Fontaine through to Liyue tea village to mond

There's still that part south-ish, south-west-ish of Liyue, around the area where the mysterious house said to be Yelan's is located, below the Chasm. You can see it from the top of the Jade Chamber. So instead of extending up, Liyue perhaps would extend downwards? Towards more water? After all, Liyue is the biggest and most profitable harbor in Teyvat.

I have seen leak Fontaine city in instagram. It's so big and "wow", I'm no words for that
Ive heard speculations that natlan would be a fusion of many cultures but most importantly aztec and if the theory of dragons inhabiting natlan due its opposition to celestia is true maybe one of these dragons could be the pyro dragon quetzalcoatl.
Also another tid bit about dragons, i wonder what fontaines dragon will be since from what i dug up the Melusines (the cat officers) where also considered a type of dragon/dragon lady or more like a mermaid but instead of a fish imagine a dragons tail and wings.
The problem with fontaine about the dragons is that probably the old hydro sovereign would be already death because we know that there is the need of a new hydro sovereign and we also knew that the dragon in question is most probably kokomi

So I think Natlan is located on the right side of the jade chamber, in other words at the right side of Liyue Harbor& Golden house. If u teleport to the chamber and look at the east , there are a lot of mountains peaking from the clouds, and since (according to the lore and theories)Natlan is described as the nation with a lot of volcanos, so yeah……. (Btw in Inazuma city there is an hot spring owner NPC and if u talk to him he will tell u a little bit about natlan)

I don't mean to be skeptical, but isn't Murata dead? I thought she was the original pyro archon, and as we know from the old ones only Zhongli and Venti remained. And Venti was talking to Venessa about Murata's people and talking about her as if she was already dead then. Which would make sense, because why would an archon let a people calling themselves Murata's "children" end up as slaves.

I saw a theory that someone made that maybe since Natlan will have different tribes and the nation is doing Latin America, Spanish, and West Africa maybe they will so 4-5 different tribes instead of a single city. And each tribe would be based on something different. Iansans name comes from a west Africa Deity Iansã so one of the tribes could be based on West Africas yoruba tribe and another tribe would be based on aztecs. The other ones are left in the air. But I’m getting my money on us getting multiple tribes, so excited for Natlan!
