Experienced or not Mike and Heath made it this far as older lifters. Dont want them to screw up the 2nd half of their lifting life doing dumb shit like this.

Who cares if he takes PED so what. It’s his mindset, drive and discipline that made him who he is. The PEDs help but not if you’re not doing and following everything. He’s a beast respect that. Good job. But on the spot on the incline don’t think you should ever walk away until the person has it racked, because you can see he was struggling the last rep, and we all know anything can happen

@2:34 good point if you ever want to compete your grip needs to touch the IPF rings on the bar this guy was tricep dominant which explains his closer grip but you should train like you compete and touch the rings
would love to see one week training of Mike with Dorian They have similar yet different mindsets for body building where Mike does it for longevity and Dorian does it for only muscle growth but both of them have extreme focus but what I really wanna see is if Dorian can truly push Mike to beyond failure because I've always seen Mike be in full control of extreme weights

I remember the powerlifting coach at the gym I went to when I was in my early 20s. I use to watch his workouts of massive weight. Paused 500 lbs on his chest and brought it up without a real struggle. He breathed 405 on squats like it was a walk in the park. He came to me one day and asked if I was interested in powerlifting. At the time I could bench 315 for 6 reps. He asked was I in law enforcement. I said “uhh no.” Working out with him about a month and being interested in joining his team, He showed me all the anabolics in his cabinet at his apartment and said to me to compete you would have to take them.I didn’t want to put a needle in my ass and I heard it made your junk shrink so I gave the 8 week cycle back to him and told him I wasn’t interested. I didn’t look at him in that same respect again.
I'm a real hard gainer. So I get what you're talking about here. There is such a fine line between enough and too much. Challenge yourself and trigger a response, but still be able to recover by your next workout.
Wouldn't they be risking shoulder Injury letting the barbell touch their chest ? I get a great stretch just stopping 2 inches above my upper chest. Just doesn't feel right in my shoulder joint stretching further than that....I kinda do it the same way Chris Cormier and Jay Cutler does it.
