1. Romania is not a small country. It's the 12th largest in Europe (out of 50). 2. Where did you get the 2 millions gypsies figure from? And even if that was true, most of them migrated to France, Germany, UK, Sweden... have fun with that. 3. Romaina is not "one of the poorest" anymore. The GDP (PPP) per capita is better than Greece's and Croatia's, for example.
The "poor" country excuse keeps persisting. And most people, especially Romanians, fall for it. Purchasing power is the only metric we should consider when discussing salaries. 500 Euros in Arad, Romania is the equivalent of about 1000 in Lille, France for example. Are we poorer? Yes. However, if you poll the average Romanian, they think we're poorer than Benin. That's how things are portrayed on the telly. By most metrics, we're about 35th - 40th in the world for income..

I am surprised that you mention gypsies and the occidental treatment of Africa yet nothing about their treatment of the gypsies and why they didn't have as many as Romania compared to their population.
The Roma were...unfortunately not assimilated. The leftist idiotic idea that "preserving your culture" even if that is mostly a primitive, shitty one is cancer. Gypsies invaded these lands and have been a plague ever since. We would be glad if they would migrate West to those good Samaritans that like giving us lessons. Let them preserve their culture there, along with all the other "cultures" that shouldn't be touched - like the North African, Middle Eastern etc. They would fit better there.
Enough mistakes. 1. Gypsies in Romania are 570,000 (3.4% of the total population) according to the 2022 census, Hungarians are 1 million not 1.2 million (6% of the total population). Gypsies are not discriminated and they are not "afraid to declare their ethnicity". On the contrary, they have the same rights as Romanians, Germans or Hungarians. Where the wtf did you invent the figure of 2 million Gypsies...wow...without a minimum real information before making a video???!!! Also, Romania does not have the largest number of Gypsies in Europe, Turkey does. Not even as a percentage, Bulgaria for example has a higher percentage of the total population and others. 2. The region conquered by the Roman Empire in the 1st century is only a part of Dacia, not all of Dacia was conquered. 40% of Dacia at that time - anno 106 (Dacia had been much more big before) remained free, the Romans conquered only the area of the capital Sarmisegetusa, the area with gold and salt mines in Transylvania and Dobrogea.

Romania is a very rich country in the underground, danube river, black sea etc It's a pity that they don't know how to capitalize on their riches .....It could be the second Switzerland but unfortunately the leaders are too corrupt who knows, maybe one day they will wake up from the deep sleep where they been hibernating for more than 30 years after the fall of communism .....I wish them all the best . Peace 👍✌
Romania is not poor, we are welthier than Portugal, Hungary, Bulgary, Greek, Serbia, Russia, considering GDP per kapita, so terminate with this. We don't need french cold, undocumented cheap documentary about our country. France please mind your bussines.
I liked it but you propagated the myth that Bran Castle was Dracula's castle. Dracula reigned in Wallachia, Bran Castle was in another country, Transylvania, how could it be his castle? Also I don't want to dispute the Rroma numbers (I'd rather contest the ones offered by the Romanian state), but the map/chart that you used for the Rroma distribution across Romania seems a bit untrustworthy or deceitful, making them look like a majority in a lot of vast places.
Superficiality is the order of the day in today's world. Two truths are charged with three stupidities. You have to be short, otherwise you lose the audience. Small texts, slogans, widely accepted banalities, prejudices and life is beautiful! Didn't you realize that it's not a show for adults?
Well for those who are democratic in the concerning about Gypsies I can tell you my late husband and I felt like we were/are treated like gypsies by our son Romanian wife. She said that parental do not anything to do with grandchildren only maternal grandparents. I don’t believe that it is true because our daughter had a Romanian friend in high school, though her you can see what our sons wife is what one called a narcissistic person.
It's weird that you say you felt treated like gypsies just because your daughter in law was particular and romanian. I don't think you would say you were treated like gypsies if she was, I don't know, turkish. Romanians are often treated like gypsies but because we're white and westerners we can take it and often do, you don't have any idea how gypsies are treated like, subhuman would not encapsulate it.
She could be hungarian living in Romania. We are welcoming our guests always. Not the same are doing hungarian ppl living in Romania. Don't blame entire country because one rude woman.
I have no idea what happens inside your family. So I shall say only this: I am a man of 48 years old, I have siblings (2 younger brothers) and during my childhood we all benefited from all four grandparents, from both our father and our mother. It is the first time that I hear this (very strange!) idea that maternal grandparents are better than the paternal ones in terms of contributing to the nurturing of their grandchildren. As I have studied (as a hobby) quite intensively the Romanian folklore and popular traditions, I have to say that there is nothing in the Romanian popular culture that would even hint to such an egregious idea! Therefore, there are two possibilities: either your daughter-in-law simply invented this theory to suit her interests, or this woman is originating in one of the 19 ethnic minorities living in Romania, and she is presenting as Romanian some idiotic prejudice imported from another culture, in which she was raised.
The host and the whole network should be ashamed if they even knew what that is! This video is filled with mistakes like calling Romania one of the poorest and without any statistics that disprove it,saying lies like 2 million gypsies when its below 1 million, around 500 000,not mentioning the opression of the romanian minority on the stolen lands that are now under ukrainian occupation, they are banned from speaking romanian in public and learning it in school, romanian orthodox church is banned, discimination is rife and assimilation is aggresively promoted, gypisies being assimilated by force during communism is a lie as is that Marshal Antonescu lead a fascist regime,it was a simple military dictatorship if anything he killed the fascists not lead them! It doesnt mention how we were forced to join either the germans or soviets or we would be invaded, our alliance with Germany was forced not out of friendliness,it doesnt mention how the soviets robbed the country after ww2 or the deporations and murders and rapes they commited and the forced russification of Moldova, the intentionatly placed Transnistria to cause problems in the future for Moldova to join again Romania or any western organizations that russia doesnt like and many details and ways she says that make us look bad compared to the reality.
Too many mistakes in such a short video.. French journalism is mediocre and unprofessional! 1. 1:00 Romania has always been a strategic country and one of the most consistently pro-American nations in Europe and in the world (thanks to the United States we are in the EU and NATO, because it considered us a loyal and strategic country from the very beginning). 2. 1:27 Romania is not a small country! Romania is around the same size as United Kingdom (and if we reunite with Moldova, it will be even bigger than UK) and it's the 6th most populated country in the EU. You can fit in Romania the Netherlands, Slovakia, Belgium, Albania, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Andorra, Malta, Liechtenstein and still remains 14,131 km² 🙂 3. 3:19 The 5 million Romanians left the country because of the EU project and the corrupt government supported by the EU. The big European companies came to subjugate the Romanians with low salaries in order to have maximum profit. We are kept outside Schengen and on low wages so that Germany and France become richer! 4. 4:05 Misinformation.. what source do you have? the population of gypsies in Romania does not exceed 600-800k. 5. 5:00 Although the Romans conquered the ancient Kingdom of Dacia, much of the land remained outside of Roman Imperial authority. 6. 6:03 Hungary did not recovered the ancient Romanian land (Transylvania) but OBTAINED it through the N@zi Diktate from Vienna ('Second Vienna Award') by which Romania was forced to cede almost half (43,492 km²) of the territory of Northern Transylvania, including all of Maramureș and part of Crișana to Horthy Hungary. 7. 8:11 Romania's gross minimum wage is at 3,300 lei (662 euro), with a government-approved increase to 3,700 lei (742 euro) slated for July 1, 2024

In 2016 they made ecumenical sinod for all other denominations(sects)along with catholics to unite with orthodoxy and have head the pope. Today orthodoxy is split in two : one is ecumenistic. - Gypsies from Romania (way less in number than the western countries enslaved population) was not taken by force from a conquered territory, au contraire, they have “invaded” romanian lands. Diaspora is not just the people who've gone in the West for money, it's also the Romanian minorities trapped in Ukraine, Serbia, Greece or Albania. And the treatment of Ukrainian authorities towards them is pretty shitty for a country that asks a lot of help from us. Lol, gypsies don't declare themselves as such because they are trying to integrate, what, do you think that if someone is trying to discriminate against them they are going to ask them what they signed on their census? Also, "forcibly assimilated under communism"? There was a joke during communist times that Ceausescu did try to integrate ethnic and social classes together but he couldn't do that to gypsies since they don't care about that. Of course, it was a joke, but what you said was just false. The economy may sound very good on paper but 70% of the population works on the minimal wage which is very low compared to most EU countries, that's why we're still poor, it's not corruption, that's just our go-to excuse for anything that doesn't work as it should.

They made a mistake showing only the Eastern and Southern range of the Carpatian mountains. They didn't show the Western Carpatians : the highest peak is 1849 m in Bihor Mountains and there are two other peaks over 1800 m (1.836 m Vlădeasa peak and 1.826 m, Muntele Mare peak), plus other peaks over 1400 m and 1300 m.
Actually, the Carpathian Mountains on Romanian territory look more like a (broken) triangle than like a large crescent. Also, "the Transylvanian plateau" is smaller and it is in the central part of Romania, bordered by the three ranges of the Carpatians (including the Western one!). You included the Western Carpathians into the Transylvanian plateau, which is wrong, but it serves the Hungarian propaganda about the so-called "Carpathian basin".

According to the logic of the journalist: France is also a small country because it is half the size of South Africa 😂😂😂
