  • One of the most well-known objects in the night sky is the supernova remnants from the Crab Nebula. I captured this across two nights with my large refractor telescope.

      What really blows my mind is we live inside a bubble, our atmosphere is literally held in place by What?
      Magnasphere?
      Gravity?
      Or all the gasses around us simply dissipates the higher you go, what a couple of miles.

    To us the speed of light seems so instantaneous but when speaking about the distances involved in space it’s painfully slow.

      Even the word slow is an overstatement. Unless we find some fictional BS we will never leave our galaxy. If FTL travel is possible we would have felt the presence of some super intelligence species a long time ago. All intelligent lifeforms are destined to die in this nothingness of space.
      But, these are my opinions. Anything is possible. We humans are too young to make any assumption.

    There is also a pulsar making large jets that travel at 70 percent the speed of light, look at the time-lapse from the Chandra x ray observatory.

    Funfact : The explosion maybe over but we can see it because its light started travelling maybe even thousands of years ago
    That's what's making space the most vast thing and that's also why we humans are so curious about it

      @Justincase008 umm rectinlinear propagation of light and diffraction , atmospheric refraction , refraction in space , reflection , etc , because light travels in almost every single direction , and most of those direction reached us , btw photons pass through no problem

    That’s not a picture by the Hubble telescope, it is an enhanced image based on the picture taken by the Hubble. Don’t forget that

      There's one thing that one of them said that I'm trying to find an answer for, that is it the Earth is spinning 1,200 MPH, why does an object not have a weight different at the equator or the poles? I hope that was clear. I need a good comeback.
      The other one is, if the oceans are 200ft higher at the equator, than why are the oceans covering the entire length of the equator. Im trying to find an answer for that as well.
      Im not that good at this stuff, maybe you can help. I want to get back at these liers

    Fun fact :When looking at stars etc we are looking at past because it take light millions of years to reach us and in our eyes(depending from the distance/light years)

    hey chuck! Could I put an equatorial wedge on this telescope?
    SkyWatcher Star Discovery 150p, I have seen that the mount is the same as that of a Nexstar SE or evolution (Sorry for my english, i am spanish)

    The reason I love space is because everything just blows my mind! It’s crazy to think most of the stars we see light is millions of years old. My only regret about being mortal is that I’m never going to see space.

So that is potentially millions of other civilizations out there! Another thing that blows my mind is that our u inverse might be a number of many before it. They think other big bags could have happened and then trillions of years the universe went dark and then a new universe was born! Crazy to think about time and what that actually means. It just makes me so excited thinking about it!

      It was not anything like that. It was a brightening of an existing star and no brighter than a reflective planet to earth standing viewers then.
