Dude, you work faster than I can watch. Slow down my man, we are billing by the hour! All jokes aside that was impressive. Great motivator to just "git'r'dun"! Definitley subscribing, liking and sharing and thank you for not wasting my time with that whole worn out script!
We have a clogged underneath our kitchen sink and I noticed that whenever I would put the baking soda and vinegar down the drain that it would begin to overflow out of the air admittance valve whenever I wouldn't screw it. Does this mean that the spring feature on the air admittance valve has failed?
Seems more to me that the problem is that there’s no slope after the P-trap like there should be. Outside of that their admin spouse can fail, so putting a closed loop in under the sink would be a better option. As well as mounting the dishwasher hose high up so after the pressure pumps out from the dishwasher, the discharge has no choice but to run downhill.
Incorrectly stated by the Pro: That is how "you" install an air admittance valve. Correctly stated by me: That is how "you" install an air admittance valve. All day job for me including several looks at UA-cam and two or three visits to the big box. Thanks for the video.
Great to see Billy Bob Thornton helping us regular folks learn the art of plumbing.
Billy’s a jack of all trades

Clean easy work, thanks . Six inches above waste, thanks.
You're welcome!
If a home is air sealed and the dehumidifier and A/C create a negative pressure in the home would an AAV still function appropriately?
你使用水喉膠布方向錯誤!😂😂😂哈哈!安裝單向入氣閥是正確的!👍👍👍
Super good and easy explanation Thks 👍

Hi. Did you figure out if the in-line vent needed to be replaced to be unclog?
Or was it something else the issue?
Thanks
How do you reconcile six inches above the trap arm with six inches about the flood rim as required by code?

Are these traps supposed to be tight or kinda loose? I keep getting air build up and it blows the pipe off
traps? These are supposed to be air tight and should blow of the pipe maybe a fitting is missing glue?

Lol! Me too!
First guy to tape threads ?
1:23 Next time, take the multi-tool blade to the parts bag, like you did to the zip-tie at 00:57. :)
Pro job
Draining a dishwasher like that is one of the most moronic plumbing ideas I've ever seen
Doesn’t it bother you that the purple primer is all over the pipework? I know its under the sink an all…but still…
I’m an apartment maintenance pro. Which means I’m a pro at nothing. So no it doesn’t bother me
Yeah, they make clear glue and primer for this reason
Purple color is to make it easy to confirm that primer was actually used. The more the merrier ... within reason.
Your required to use purple primer, its purple so the inspector knows you actually primered the fitting.
It’s supposed to be 6 inches or higher lol
Never seen someone so messy with the primer
Air admittance valve 😂. That’s a mechanical check vent and is illegal in some jurisdictions. Check your plumbing code.
Thanks for watching 😀
@@ApartmentMaintenancePro you’re obviously a good dude! No disrespect
Because for one they need to be 4 to 6 inches above the sink for most codes that allow them.
@@TedTedness-wu4vbabove the sink? 😂
