A lot of people who previously don’t understand the dynamics of being in a narcissist relationship now are studying it thanks to this relationship. Most people see the ugly side and wonder how the prey of the narcissist allowed themselves to be in this abusive situation, when it’s really a build up point to have the narcissist demonstrate complete dominance in the relationship.
It starts with a love bombing stage, a honeymoon whirlwind that makes anyone crazy for more. Slowly the narcissist will expose controlling characteristics that doesn’t make the prey leave but plant subtle the habits in the interactions of manipulation behind the scenes. The next part is when things escalates, the prey questions why the narcissist is taking out their anger on them, vocally, emotionally, or physically. The narcissists deflects they the prey, are the problem and places the blame on the victim. Over time the prey breaks down believing the cycle of abuse as it brainwashes them believing they are the problem, and that if they fix that one thing, the honeymoon stage of the narcissist will return.
Sadly, this is what traps the prey, if they didn’t leave sooner there is no hope for them to get it. The only other way I have heard of “escaping” the narcissist dynamic is if the prey no longer has any worth to the narcissist and the narcissist drops them cold turkey. The prey starts out shocked and takes a while to process what happened, but if any is at the situation that the narcissist finally left them, they truly don’t understand how lucky they are to be out of that relationship until they get the clear perspective of the whole picture. Guess this is the silver lining to this horrible situation is that this will get everyone to research and learn more about narcissism and not just fling it out there, but to come to terms how these people operate and to look for the signs when they are in an abusive relationship before it’s too late. It’s going to be a more common occurrence because of the rising numbers of narcissism increased thanks to more population in the world and how people have been developed raising in a world of social media.

If this was any other relationship we would be jumping up and down saying abuse. She also has a rampant history now of crossing Will Smith’s personal space and boundaries.
And again if he says anything she instantly drags him publicly and humiliates him. While Will Smith has no one to blame but himself for the Oscar fiasco, its hard not to feel a little bit of empathy for the guy. But he really needs to man up and leave.

100% fact. I dealt with this and even my psychologist says she was within days of achieving her goal of me taking my life and her getting life insurance policy. Ironically her twin sister who actually cared about me was the reason she failed. But because “women aren’t abusers” there’s literally no support or even awareness despite the fact that my psychologist (a woman and former police woman) openly states that nearly 40% of the domestic abuse cases she deals with it’s the woman who’s the abuser, and more often than not they’re there because the woman wants to convince the guys he’s the abuser and the women think that a female psychologist will automatically side with them.
She will leave him when she no longer sees a use for him.
We desperately need to change the narrative that men are abusers and women are victims. Abusers are abusers and victims are victims. I’m 6ft and 225lbs she was 5’5 and 115lbs. Emotional and psychological abuse is real.

My own personal theory: For Jada, Tupac was the one that got away. They may have never been a thing romantically but Jada may always look back and wonder "what if." Then she gets pregnant with Wills baby and feels the pressure to settle for him. You would think that now that their kids are grown, this would be the time to leave, but over the past 20+ years she realized not only their public image as a power couple, but that Will is probably the only man (aside from maybe August Alsina) who is willing to put up with her bullshit and be in control. Not something she wants to give up.

The issue about Tupac and comparing him at all is . . . . this is not a real relationship. This is an imagined relationship or fantasy as therapist call them, in her mind without flaws and without the issues and conflicts that happen in real life. She pines not for Tupac but for her fantasy version of him as she never lived with and had a long term relationship with this person. She can't know what he would have been like 20+ years later, if he would have cheated, broken her heart, not made her the food he does in her fantasy world and bent over ass backwards for her. There is no one that can compete with a fantasy because . . . it is a fantasy. You don't imagine conflicts and throw em down breaking down door fighting or with Tupac maybe drive by shootings and Jada getting shot. You imagine it always going your way and it's not reality. Tupac was a crush like we all have in our lives that was never fulfilled and we can imagine they've grown to be an attractive person with a great job because we knew they were smart and they would want us if we saw them again. . . . . but maybe they are now ugly and fat and mean and got into heavy drugs and we would never want to be with them and the next time we see them we don't know it's them begging for change on the sidewalk. That's actual reality that can happen. Jada can't handle reality. Tupac is a fantasy built up over years and years and years that may not even resemble the original man she once knew.

That she cheats on him with their child's friend and feels no shame and says something like "it helped her grow". How does sleeping with a person 20+ years your junior help you grow as a person? Was it the in depth life experience talks? She does not honor Will. So his great values are sadly misplaced.

You have to understand the complicated dynamics between abuser and abusee. The abuser spends months and years isolating and breaking down their victim's self esteem to the point the victim feels they need the abuser and are lucky to have them. Abusers cultivate this thought in their victims head when in reality, the abuser needs the victim. They just make it look the other way around to those on the outside so it's hard for people to understand. It's a lot like politics and The Wizard of Oz in that way; It's all a fun house mirror image of the actual truth.

But I do recognize the signs of Narc abuse. I especially knew something was up when Jayden emancipated himself. He was probably the scapegoated child.
My mother was an extreme narcissist. I was her scapegoat. The ugly daughter. The mistake. My sister was the golden child. The pretty one. The sweetheart. I saw that same sadistic smirk on Jada's face that my mom would get every time she knew she hurt my feelings.

Idk if it's true but I heard something about Will being in a rehab place for help. And "the sorceress " out, looking great, but not saying EXACTLY what you guys said she should have. He needs to respect himself and love himself instead of clinging onto the commitment of the marriage that is going to continue to destroy him. He can come back from this and maybe he will find that person who will love him, appreciate him and respect him once he "loves himself ". The kids are grown and like Akaash said, it's win, win, win for all of them.
Still I can't wait until Chris Rock's new special. I just hope he goes after it HARD. Obviously he was shocked by the whole thing and handled it amazingly. I just hope he's not so "understanding " and he hits back hard.
