Disclaimer: Most of the weathering products I use in my videos such as Ammo by Mig Jimenez, AK-Interactive, Wilder and VMS were sent to me for free, but with no obligations to promote them. I received a lot of them a long time ago, even before I started this channel. VMS is also one of my Patreon supporters. Being independent from big and exclusive sponsorship deals and showing you a wide variety of different brands and products was one of the founding ideas of this channel and I will always stand by this.

*Next week will be about creating some muddy country road in Germany
me getting fury final battle scene flashbacks
exactly!
@pickle ivan soup leg chicken
@pickle ivan ligma
Hmmm Fury final scenes ...all filmed near me in Watlington Oxfordshire :)
I dare you to build a warship, a little something out of your comfort zone.
no! the stress is bad enough watching Ebroin's insane miniature work..
the very rusty submarine option from the 100k video might scratch that itch!
Model Brand? *Revell*
it has to be the Bismarck, Iowa, or Yamato.
Yes
the sun is out, and a new Night Shift vid. Gonna be a great Friday
Night Shift makes me look forward to any Friday, his videos are always a little treat
I was watching a completely different video on a completely different channel and saw this pop up in my notifications, never have I clicked a notification faster
Edit: also do a Halftrack
Half track would be sick
it's been another great build can't wait to see what's next.
I'd love to see one done without the concrete painted, and just some nicks and chips taken out of it, to make it look like it was a rushed job put straight into battle, I think that would look really interesting...
These videos are one of the reasons i like fridays
That periscope optical illusion with the black and blue shades really pop out
You have helped me with my modeling, I'm still new to the hobby and have only made 3 models so far. A panther ausf d, a b-25j, and a stuka ju 87.
Can you make tamiya T34/76 1:48 ? It would be nice to see a legendary tank built by legendary modeler😂
I think its taught me that "less is more" when it comes to mud effects, great lesson, expertly presented!😀
The concrete armor came out so well, Martin. Great job!
Can't wait to see it on its base.
Thank you as always for the awesome videos. You have no idea how much it helps me with the techniques you use to make my models look much better.
Now, I'm no expert on these things and I may be wrong, but to me it seems that the oil wouldn't spill quite the way you painted it. In the picture of the real sherman you showed, the tank doesn't have concrete armour, so the oil flows directly down the sides of the tank. On your model, the concrete "shelf" is slanted away from the tank and backwards,so the oil wouldn't flow straight downwards, but adopt a sort of diagonal path (on the sides it would still flow straight downwards, it's just on the top that I think it would be diagonal). I hope you understand what I was trying to say, it would be a lot easier to explain with a picture.
If it is a "mistake", it's certainly not a big one, the model looks great and you did a really good job, I can't wait to see the diorama and the next model
That is what I was thinking! ;)
The Warhammer equivalent of your mud trick for accidental gaps is "give that trooper a medal!" Pretty much every Imperial kit comes with wax-sealed scroll/ribbons called purity seals that are great for filling awkward gaps
I watch this channel just for the BLENDING . Master BLENDER
Another great build Martin!!! at the beggining when you start painting the tracks it looks rare but then after it look amazing !!
Who woulda thought that dirt and grime can be so stunningly beautiful... big Kudos to you, as always!
A beautiful final result Uncle! I cant wait to see it in a vignette or diorama. I love your builds, and you have taught us so much about making the details matter. I have applied some of your knowledge to my own efforts with great results. So thanks for helping to make my models a little better. Keep the builds coming, as we all wait for them in anticipation.
Cheers from Australia!
Art is art, this qualifies! Beautiful.
I don’t look forward to any of my other subs as much I enjoy and look forward to Friday’s when I get chill watching you create suck awesome “layered” effects. Thank you and I hope you and you channel become everything you want it to be.
Already looking gorgeous! Can't wait to see the finished base! Cheers my friend!
What a fantastic model. Can't wait to see it in context when you build the diorama.
Uncle, uncle, uncle, uncle!!! -Jackie Chan, Rumble in the Bronx 1995
Now I see why Jackie was so excited, good content(as always of course).
The final overall look is quite simply brilliant! Well done!
I look forward to the scenic base update.
Once again, thank you for another great tutorial.
Tony
Been waiting all week! I love your vids keep up the amazing work!
It's nice work as usual. This Easy 8 series are very impressive video of painting for me . Thanks for uploading.
That was a very enjoyable video. The commentary and techniques were easy to follow and understand
Really love that worn metal on the gun barrel. Brilliant little detail
Alternative for antenna is to cut the bristles off a brush. Has the added bonus that it’s bendy enough to survive storage.
Martin, you seem to have such boundless enthusiasm for modeling, do you ever find your enthusiasm waning or get fed up? I love modeling but I go long periods where I just can't be bothered actually sitting down and doing some work.
Having mild depression doesn't help but also other hobbies get in the way and I get put off by safety concerns.
But nothing gives me such a sense of satisfaction and wellbeing as having a model on the go that I'm really pleased with. I really miss it.
“This is in the toilet.” Love your channel brother!!! You nail instructional material.
I've not only got to the end of each video of.the Sherman build I've used your paint mix for my full interior RFM build! I sat tonight put them on and airbrushed mine along with it! Still got all the weathering to do but got all the pre shading and highlights done and the main base coat of olive drab and dunkelgelb dark I have a German dunkelgelb set and a US olive drab set but I really liked the lighter khaki tones here
Great! Love the pop of blue in the stowage.
Incredible model, many hours of fine detailed work has seriously paid off - well done 👏👏🙂
I imagine an interesting diorama would be a tank factory. However no weathering would be needed, so it would be more about the space, partial assemblies, racks, overhead stuff, workers, etc.
Ive waited for this video all week
Thank you , Uncle Martin .
Thanks. A base for small kits sounds like a good idea to me.
left off the human component like muddy boot prints
Stunning! Great work uncle Night Shift
I don't think I will ever build a tank, but I have watched LOTS of your videos as I learn a lot from them and you are very entertaining!
Nice job! Very accurate representation of a Sherman. See you next week!
Best modeler out there!
Another great video Martin! Really looking forward to the scenic base video, I really enjoyed the last one!
Adding that recoil-worn part of the barrel does so much for this model.
Excellent final result - can't wait to see the diorama! 😀😀
Wow, this job is getting animal. Congratulations on the content.
It is an inspiration to me.
Strong hug here from Brazil.
I think a pretty cool idea would be to make a tank museum for your models, I think that would be pretty interesting :)
Great video, love the final effects.
Absolutely beautiful!
Nice Mr Night Shift
I would like to suggest a future video based on how do you finish the bottom part of your tanks. I mean... what to simulate? Mud (how it would behave in real vehicles), rust, oil spots, etc. It will be greatly appreciated!
Yesss a scenic base
Great work as always!
Nice job. I really dig the stowage! I just received my order from VMS with the paper/tarp kit. Looking forward to the base next week.
Definitely a success. Looks amazing.
Uncle Nightshift, make a yugoslav tank, i dare you
I made 2 in the past, another one is a must!
Night Shift im making a M36 Jackson, cant wait to find out which one you'll make!
Hopeless Gaming he’s already made a yugo m36 it’s on his Instagram
@@NightShiftScaleModels M84!
Another masterpiece, thanks.
Excellent work. You are doing great things. Keep it up.
I say diorama! It is FUN to do them, and they are as time consuming as you want them to be. For example creating a building (or a ruin, or a wall) out of matches, toothpicks, sticks, whatever you can find lying around. It can be a nice experience. You can flex your creativity, your fantasy, and best, you can broaden your knowledge about things.
Once I helped a friend to build a diorama. He wanted a blasted apart building. So I spent time creating the building, I even created some brittle glass-like stuff, out of a glue I think, can't remember, but it broke like glass, and was as thin as a 1:72 model would need to be. Made the windows, the doors, piping, all the good stuff, even some furniture. Painted it to look pristine. The base was a mix of earth, pebbles, and white cement plus some paint so it would look like proper earth. However I left a hole in the middle of the house for the FIRECRACKER!
The result was quite authentic damage, and it needed very little clean up, surface fixing, and painting. It was kinda dangerous, but FUN! :D We were young! :) Also I can say I blown up a house, even if a small one.
MARTIN!!!! Simply beautiful, my friend. I hope that some day I can be half as skilled as you.
Simply awesome! Good job!
Looks GREAT!
I've been waiting, love your videos! :)
Great video , can't wait til next weeks!
*Really realistic muddy effects, good work NS! 😃👍👏👏*
I was only familiar with "I am the very model of a modern Major-General" - but I like your models and therefore your channel, too! Thanks for the great work and greetings from Lübeck, Germany. :)
Night Shift: and now we add our 200th layer of mud texture
Hi Uncle Nightshift! Just a suggestion, but it really helps me out as a modeler when I can see the source photographs you mention that helped you in your build. I really like seeing the pictures that you often reference along the way.
I think that approach may entail copyright issues.
Try using acupuncture needles for antennas. They are ideal for that.
guitar strings are awesome for 1/35
Beautiful build.
Fabulous, thank you for all your tips - a very interesting project 👍
Very nice model as usual, but I even like the process better ... you did a great job describing the process and your experiments !!
Just for the record, ww2 US vehicle had segmented antenas and they were painted with OD paint ... but that's just a detail.
Love the tarp!!!
Brilliant !!
Nicely done sir!
Great work!
Brilliant!
2:24 now I have to eat some Nutella in the middle of the night... Thanks Martin. Great work by the way 😃
Looks great!!!!!!
WOW... THE BEST...
Looks great 👍
Amazing!
Yay diorama!!!
Looks really nice
Looks great
I can always write the same thing... what an AMAZING work! I'm glad to hear that You build a base for this tank! You should try figures sometime... :D
the gundam mech with the us ww2 gas cans and the soldier gear 👍 👍 👍 👍
I constantly forget that you post every Friday... It's always a very nice surprise tho
Edit: just finished watching the video! I'm very interested to see the diorama!
dont listen comments, you did great models even in first videos. best on youtube! stick to the tanks!
Watching your videos is like a guilty pleasure - I realize how bad I'm at painting, especially comparing to your mad skills.
I'd love to see the 40k tank painted by you - it could be something waaaaaaay out of the box.
Nice job
I'd love to see you build a Strv 103C at some point! It's a pretty odd tank so I already love it just for that.
AMAZINGNES!!!!!
Cool model
Congrats! Great result! ;)
been waiting for this :)
i cant unsee the gap -_- great job as always though
Fun fact about concrete tanks
Sometimes the tank crew would fill sandbags with concrete and place them on front but all types of concrete tanks were disliked by high ranking officers because the weight on the tank meant the needed more fuel
