- tinyurl.com/k8r... -- Shower drain installation instruction - The StreamLine features a seamless, internally sloped, one-piece PVC body and a unique stainless steel membrane clamping ring which ensures a watertight seal, setting it apart from competitors, with installation that is easier than other competing models.
Awesome video, the animation is much more clear than trying to see around the installer.
The installation procedure is superior than what shluter does glue seam band and corner patch with thinset.this one actually form a seamless shower pan like we do with liner.
Wish i had that much space in my shower area. Here in the UK, most housebuilders cram as many rooms into a small space as possible, as price / value is dictated by the number of bedrooms. The victim of this action is usually the bathrrom, as it is in my hiuse. Not enough room to swing a cat!
Do I understand correctly? The 60" version of this linear drain retails for $1470.00 ?!?
ebay is cheaper
live the annimation.. how is it done or its fully custom video? im a visual guy vs "read the manual"
Thank you for the comment and for watching. This particular animation was created using a combination of surfaces/textures for the background, and “solid models” of the product and components, created in CAD applications. We appreciate your interest - please contact us if you have any further questions about the StreamLine installation.
The top feature is barrier free? Why show a curb installation? What about a slap?

Is this product available in India?
At this time we do not have a distributor in India. You may be able to find via the internet and have it shipped to you. Thanks for your interest.
how does this work for a "NO CURB" system....it dosent! Where's the pitch?
It does work. If you notice in the video at about the 1:10 mark, the mortar bed rises above the 2"x4" (right where the banner text, "1/4" per foot" is located). The issue with linear drains is if you install them perpendicular to the entry, you will have a lip at some point in your installation (just as the video shows). There are transition pieces to account for that, if you want to go that way. The best solution is to set the drain parallel to the entry. That way the pitch is consistent at the entry and slopes toward the drain. If you don't have enough drop in your floor to put the drain at the back of your shower, you can put it in the middle of the shower area and split the required rise in half.
no provision if tile bed leaks for water to run down drain..
The blue sheet membrane is the water proofing. It's a CPC membrane just like chloraloy or any other PVC liner. Like the video shows, the membrane gets bonded to the sloped mortar bed and the drain flange and then gets mechanically clamped to the drain body. So water that penetrates the grout or tile will hit the waterproof membrane and run into the drain.
@@rosslomazov3252I think he’s saying it, because there wasn’t a flange.
Second time around they're essentially saying to presole this?? Oyvey...
Imagine taking a class from a teacher that never spoke a word! That's about the same as this video. Verbal explanation would increase the value of this video immensely. For the life of me I've never understood why people think they're accomplishing much by producing instructional videos without any narration. Very lazy.
Because they are videos Skip
And not everyone speaks English, so it works for a wider audience.
