Longtime follower, subscriber and student of yours, Sal and like below, grateful to you for your posts over the years. And I have an unrelated question that I'm hoping you can help me with: Can you recommend the best adhesive for 1/4 round pieces I wish to install along my shower wall/ledge? The foundation materials are composite base and aluminum trim/track for the glass enclosure.
Did you use Rapid setting thinset? Or do you put a piece of membrane over the drain until the thinset dries until the next morning? And then flood tested? So the extra piece of membrane is just for the flood test and then you take it off? Awesome video very informative
Im getting to that age where I cant see very well anymore. Never enough light and Im starting to cover up outlets when I sheetrock. How do you fight aging?
@@SalDiBlasi my biggest issue with the 3x5 boards is they are 4” short of standard stud spacing. 36”x60” leaves a lot of waste because studs will lay out to 64”, not 60”. If they just lade them a little longer it would seem worth it unless all you do are 3x5 showers. 4’x8’ are too big to haul.
Schluter-Kerdi linear drain, installed entirely with Laticrete Hydroban products. :D Also ... what is Sal listening to in those ear buds? Music? Audiobooks? Podcasts? What?
Awesome video sal, just wondering why the two pieces of membrane? thanks
Why did you use 2 layers of the waterproof membrane?

Why do you play that back ground noise over and over, it's the step bedore water board.
