Imperial Quest: The Dragon Likes Pizza!

Performed by cellist Dennis Karmazyn and pianist Clive Dunstall,
“Imperial Quest”, a musical composition by Richard Niles, tells an ancient story of 6th Century Britain. King Arthur falls asleep in a mystical forest and has a prophetic vision of a new type of nourishment for mankind. Back at Camelot, he assembles the Knights of the Round Table an tells them about his mystical revelation.
Deep in the Forest of Focaccia near the Caves of Marinara, there lives a fearsome Dragon who fiercely guards a wondrous, circular food source: Pizza! “Which of my brave Knighs is willing to risk certain incineration to bring Pizza back to Camelot?” The Knights look at each other nervously. Some wistle quietly.
Then the fearless and stupidly good-looking Sir Lance-alot steps forward to kneel before King Arthur. “I will take up the Quest, and I will use my lance alot to slay the Dragon!” The other Knighs breathe a sigh of relief, murmering softly.
Suddenly the beautiful Lady Guenivere, who has always had a ‘thing’ for Lance-Alot, shrieks, “Wait! Didn’t you hear the part about the fire-breathing Dragon? Please, oh great absolute monarch Arthur, don’t let him go!!! I know this Dragon - he’s aways flying over me when I’m bathing. He’s a real creep!” King Arthur asks Lance-Alot, sotto voce, “Tell your chick to chill! Get the pizza, and I’ll order beer.”
Lance-Alot kisses Guenivere enough to banish any common sense, and promises to be back in a few minutes. He jumps on his steed named McNee and gallops across the countryside to the Enchanted forest. Reaching the Caves of Marinara, Lance-Alot is shocked to find that the Dragon has captured Guenivere, and threatens to cook her like he has cooked the huge pizza which lies before him.
As much as he loves Guenivere, his Quest is to get the pizza, and a firey battle ensues. After an expertly choreographed fight scene, Lance-Alot pulls Guenivere on to McNee’s back, and grabs the pizza, hightailing it back to Camelot.
The Dragon, his family and friends take to the sky in defeat. Lance-Alot’s heroism is rewarded by Arthur and all the Knights at Camelot with warm camaraderie, and many kisses from Guenivere.
Meanwhile the Dragon has found a new, wondrous food - Spaghetti!
