alright alright first of all I cannot download the latest software of the unlock tool as it only redirects me to a blank page. I downloaded both the 6.5 version through your link and the older 5.5 version you used. And on BOTH i can login without any issues but it dosent detect my phone. Even when I managed to get it into fastboot with the tools on my pc. So why can't the xiaomi software detect the phone while my pc can boot it into fastboot? I have various cables, wich work effortlessly with my mic, external drive, keyboard, mouse etc. What am I doing wrong? Its frustating to see that it works up to the point when the xiaomi software acts up so stupidly
Xiaomi software does behave like that, I had to test multiple versions before the one that worked for me. No. Just wait for 168 hours, don't do anything else. After the time is over, connect your phone in fastboot mode, login to mi unlock tool and start unlocking..

Hello techdoc. I had a question regarding this. Say that I used mi unlock tool and it told me to wait 168 hours. is my data gone already? or can i leave fastboot and do my normal stuff for the 168 hour time period?
Data will be deleted only when the bootloader gets unlocked.. so if mi tool told you to wait for 168 hours, you can exit fastboot mode for now and do your stuff..

Twrp is the most popular one and it supports more custom roms compared to orangefox. For redmi note 9 pro, there is no latest & official version of twrp, and i don't use unofficial versions (so i had to go for orangefox)
You might need to update the drivers then. Do one thing, download and extract platform tools on your PC, take your phone to fastboot mode, open platform tools extracted folder, open command prompt (type and enter cmd in the address bar). Type the command fastboot devices and press enter. This is to check if your phone is detected by your pc in the fastboot mode..

If you are using the same Xiaomi account that you used for the first time, then 1. Backup everything 2. Enable developer options 3. Turn on oem unlocking 4. Take the device to fastboot mode 5. Bro while signing in to mi account on mi unlock software it asked me to submit verification code but im not recieving any verification code after trying multiple times. I do have the number linked with mi account!
I really need someone to show the USB drivers installation. Can't find anything about USB drivers at all and even tho I installed them perfectly and my device is being detected in ADB when I'm in fastboot my PC has an exclamation mark on my device and it doesn't recognize it as a fastboot device.
I hope you are using a Xiaomi device! It's a long process if you want to install the drivers completey. This is the best thing I can give you here right now! Download mi flash tool from this link androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904004420 It's an old tool but lets you install the correct drivers. Download the tool, extract and open it. Don't login, but you should be able to see a settings menu on the top right, take the device to fastboot mode, connect the device to the pc and click on settings button in flash tool and install the drivers. It might ask you to connect the device again, remove the device and connect it again, go ahead and install the drivers. Open platform tools, check if your device is getting detected. Also, let me know the device you are using.

I even setup ADB in Windows settings to be detectable in CMD at all times. Device is fine, always detectable and ADB works perfectly, but when in fastboot it doesn't recognize it and only says "Android"

what does cmd say when typing fastboot command ? there can be multiple issues, sometimes it's the fastboot drivers that are not properly installed on PC and the Mi Unlock Tool does not work right away most of the time, it might ask to wait for 168 hours. try to change the usb cable and check if you have provided all the necessary permissions like usb debugging..

Hi bro! Mi unlock tool will behave wierd sometimes, it can ask you to wait for 7 days even if you have used the same account last time and sometimes it won't ask anything. Using the same number present in your mi account is mostly useful. I have unlocked the bootloader with different sim in my phone but it can be a problem sometimes. Please check all the steps. You have to allow usb debugging in your phone. Where did it show that the device is not connected? Please check the video description as well. Try to install Mi drivers.
That's a bit of a lengthy process, but here are the steps you need to follow. 1. Download Mi Flash Tool on your PC from xiaomiflashtool.com/ 2. Download firmware on your PC from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/ 3. Firmware is device specific, so choose your device from the above website 4. Extract the firmware on your PC, and you should see files like flash_all.bat, flash_all_lock.bat 5. Note - the extracted folder should be kept at a location where there is no space between the folder address, simpler terms, keep the extracted folder inside c drive - users (or any other preferred location) 6. Open mi flash tool on your PC / take your phone to fastboot mode and connect it to your PC 7. On mi flash tool, browse the location where you extracted the firmware folder (select the whole folder) 8. Important - at the bottom of mi flash tool, make sure to check flash all (if you check flash all and lock, your device bootloader is going to get locked) 8. I tried pixel experience, elixir and pixel os. Pixel os and pixel experience are performing well but they do not have MIUI cam. Elixir was not that smooth but it comes with MIUI cam.

It depends on the phone I guess. For Xiaomi phones, I don't think you will be able to do it without PC, for other phones like samsung, I think it might be possible using any app like Bugjaeger mobile adb (you will need two Android phones to do this). But I am not actually sure about that.

I am trying to reinstall the miui, but it does not let me, saying "remote device is locked cannot erase". The mi unlock isn't an option, as I never logged in with mi accound. Unlocking a bootloader in miui device requires account login, unfortunately, there is no other way I know about. About bootloop, If you can take your phone to fastboot mode and try to flash miui through mi flash tool, you should get the access to your phone.

After many hours of browsing and reading, I have come to the conclusion that this is unfixable. Maybe Xiaomi itself can solve this problem. You can try android 13 version of PixelOS (because it's much more stable compared to android 14 version), pixel experience or pixysos..

That's a bit of a lengthy process, but here are the steps you need to follow.
1. Download Mi Flash Tool on your PC from xiaomiflashtool.com/
2. Download firmware on your PC from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/
3. Firmware is device specific, so choose your device from the above website
4. Extract the firmware on your PC, and you should see files like flash_all.bat, flash_all_lock.bat
5. Note - the extracted folder should be kept at a location where there is no space between the folder address, simpler terms, keep the extracted folder inside c drive - users (or any other preferred location)
6. Open mi flash tool on your PC / take your phone to fastboot mode and connect it to your PC
7. On mi flash tool, browse the location where you extracted the firmware folder (select the whole folder)
8. Important - at the bottom of mi flash tool, make sure to check flash all (if you check flash all and lock, your device bootloader is going to get locked)
8. On mi flash tool, click on refresh once and then click flash
9. Done 😁

All Android 12 ROMs will give you a decent gaming performance. I would recommend Arrow os or you can also try Cherish OS.

I tried pixel experience, elixir and pixel os. Pixel os and pixel experience are performing well but they do not have MIUI cam.
Elixir was not that smooth but it comes with MIUI cam.

So thought to install Custom ROM in my brother's phone, MiUi cam is good in features but stable ROM is on High Priority for me.

How to unlock whitout PC
It depends on the phone I guess. For Xiaomi phones, I don't think you will be able to do it without PC, for other phones like samsung, I think it might be possible using any app like Bugjaeger mobile adb (you will need two Android phones to do this). But I am not actually sure about that.

You can disconnect the phone and use it normally. When the waiting time is over, you can connect your phone and try to unlock.

My phone is stuck a bootloop and therefor I have no access to the phone's settings. Is it possible to unlock the boatloader another way? I am trying to reinstall the miui, but it does not let me, saying "remote device is locked cannot erase". The mi unlock isn't an option, as I never logged in with mi accound. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Unlocking a bootloader in miui device requires account login, unfortunately, there is no other way I know about.
About bootloop, If you can take your phone to fastboot mode and try to flash miui through mi flash tool, you should get the access to your phone.

@@techdocyoutube Unfortunately, in order to do this fix I need access to the phones settings, witch is impossible. After many hours of browsing and reading, I have come to the conclusion that this is unfixable. Maybe Xiaomi itself can solve this problem.
