That battery orientation image was worth the price of admission.
Thank you! I’m sitting here with my gallon of Weed Clear by Ortho which has the same wand, I took the batteries out thinking it would be clearly marked which batteries are positive or negative and it’s not. Well not to me anyway. You saved the day thank you so much!
That’s some major battery power relative to what I had assumed. Thanks for showing this.
Agree, thought there'd be some odd-sized button battery in there.
Thank you! I'm sitting here with a gallon of Ortho with dead batteries wondering if they could be replaced and now I know! Thanks!☺
Always feel more confident knowing how to do it BEFORE I start. Thanks
Thank you for this. I had no idea that the batteries would die so fast in a brand new product.
I watched this only to see how strong the sprayer was before purchasing. You did not disappoint. Thank you so much!!!
Thanks so much for this, I must admit I didn’t know this took batteries.
I didn't know too until the sprayer was spraying weak. So I took it apart and found out it takes regular AA batteries.
Thank you for showing the battery orientations. It finally ended my silly moment. I took out the batteries out without memorizing their directions and then was spending many minutes trying to load fresh ones the right way. The "+ -" imprints under the lid, I felt were misleading.
I couldn't find anything on what batteries it took, since it's out in the garage and I'm in bed planning my day, so thank you for saving me a trip rummaging through the garage!!
Thanks ! this is the only clip that show the battery direction .
George said that he saw you put them into your 💩🕳to get charged up for Dylan Mulvaney.
Thank you for this!! I took the batteries out without noting the positions. The contacts are not intuitive on how to replace them. It's not in the instructions on the container.
I did the same thing this morning, and found this video aftEr I tried to follow the directions on the wand cover....THANK YOU
I have the same problem. Watched youtube video and replaced them like on video but still not working. No one at Ortho will answer my question on chat. All robots. I guess I will ask for a replacement but I am willing to try to fix it if I can get help.
I take the batteries out after I use it because I only use it 2 or 3 times a year. Just don't over tighten the screws
I just replaced them and don't hear the motor turn on. Checked for proper voltage on each battery. Ensured correct orientation
I replaced the batteries and it still wouldn't work. Frustrating.
May be clogged. Roundup has a troubleshooting video (essentially the same wand). There may be others.
Make sure the batteries are two down/one up, in the proper position. I had the same problem. My wand works fine now.
yep i need to flip two batteries now it works fine
Check to see if the battery contacts need to be cleaned. A q-tip, rubbing alcohol and maybe a file/emery board will do the trick.
@@JamminClemmons Do you know in what position? no markings on inside or outside of the wand. I tried the position UA-cam suggested but still does not work
Thank you! I didn't know there were batteries in it.
How else would it be spraying...?
I used an eyeglass screwdriver to get the screws out ... worked like a charm
Finally a video! best thing yet
My wand is a 4 battery but the placement is right on. Thank you.
The fact that this video's description starts with "It uses 3 AA batteries," initially lead me to dismiss this as a possible source for help with battery placement in my 4 battery Comfort Wand. After I didn't find that info elsewhere (including on Ortho's own website) I eventually stumbled upon your comment here, Ron G. If you hadn't posted your comment I wouldn't have realized that the video does contain the info I needed. Thanks!
Thanks for the video.
My motor burnt out...new batteries didn't help.
Perfect! The answer to my quest!
Many Thanks. This helps out a lot.
Yup that did the trick
Yours shows 4 prongs and 3 batteries. Mines has 4 prongs and needs 4 batteries
Thank you! I inherited this and didn't know it took batteries. duh Now I need to know how to get it to spray instead of drissle.
I think after you use a certain amount, it just drizzles. Seems to be the case whenever I use this product.
It still does not draw liquid. It runs, but does not pull liquid up.
Did you rub it like you do for your dad?
@maryparish5098 try priming it, in other words pour some water into the tube from the cap side of the hose.
I was wondering how to dispose of this container and wand without setting the garbage truck on fire. Just remove the batteries as shown here. Thanks.
Thanks....I had tried 2 sets of rechargeable batteries that were showing good BUT I didn't have them in the correct sequence.......I was about to go and buy another full unit with 2/3 poison still in the container ~~ more $$$ and a 10-mile trip to Wallyworld.......lol
Thank you, thank you, thank you!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks a bunch!
Will the batteries go bad just sitting in the wand or only when used. I guess what I'm asking is there a parasitic voltage draw? Great video. Thanks
The battery will go bad and leak sitting inside for a long time without use. Yes small parasitic draw. It's like that for every electronic device.
@@Tenamesan Thanks for the reply
Thank you!!!!
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you
TY.
Look at his battery placement, if it is semi wrong it will work enough to think you have the right battery position, but not work. This is the same as the roundup comfort grip BTW.
Thank you. Appreciate you!!!
THANKS MAN
My doesn't have screws at the bottom...Seem like I will have to use a screwdriver or knife 🤷🏽♀️
Thanks. Wasn't sure if base held batteries.
I found the soloution, gravity feed wand by holding the gallon above the wand until primed.... finally a year later lol, also must chant buggidy buggidy do buggidy buggidy die over until fully primed. 😅
Helpful video.. Ty.
Thank you bought one for my apartment after centipedes kept coming I
I have 4 batteries and it still will not work
How can you take that red connector off at 8 seconds of this video? I tried mine, but seems too tight.
I just pull the red part straight up.
I had to pry mine up with a flat head screwdriver.
why the crappy music?
