    Enjoyable watch.
The Bakerloo picture looks like a reflection, possibly of a guidebook or merchandise from Madame Tussauds?
And the Hampton court one has to be a staff prankster following the previous day's event.

Can't be a reflection of anything like that, it is far too large? My opinion is that the train was actually stationary at the time this photo was taken and it is a poster on the far wall of the tube, behind the train, advertising the Tussaud's waxwork exhibition! The family said the train was moving through a tunnel at the time, but they could have been mistaken, (people take many photos when visiting London) or they wanted to make the photo appear to be more enigmatic! I'm old enough to remember those '30s stock trains on the Bakerloo and other lines, they rocked so violently that your fillings fair dislodged!! No way would someone be able to take a photo as good as that, with an early '80s camera while the train was moving!!😂

Im generally in the skeptical camp when it comes to ghouls and ghosts. Considering that almost every person on the planet carries a camera around with them at all times with a mobile phone and the amount of social media where over 4,000 photos are posted every second, you'd think there would be a massive increase in the number of spooky photos being reported.

This was great! Funnily enough, I was recounting earlier today, a spooky experience outside the Queen's House. About 30 years ago Hub and I were walking along that covered walk way. It was a dark, winter's early evening but there were plenty of other people around...And then suddenly there wasnt! Suddenly it was just us, alone. And the atmosphere just changed. It felt very strange and heavy like we'd slipped into a different timeline! Then everything snapped back to normal. However a woman hurriedly came up to us and asked if my husband was in the military as she'd just witnessed him wearing an old style soldier uniform! He wasn't and we said we'd felt something very weird too! There's definitely something about that place! Cheers, Rob!

I’m not a believer or a non believer, I’ll keep an open mind! I did have to smile when you reported on Hampton Court, I bought to mind a silly song from a Carry On movie ‘The day that King Harry got his Hampton Court’. Banal humour,I know but it tickled me! Cheers Rob👏🏻

Another interesting and thought provoking video. After looking at the Saint Botolph video a few times and with a little bit of zooming I noticed this:
At 07:48 minutes (the day you visited on the blessing of animals) I paused and zoomed in. In that exact Spot of the alleged reporting of a ghost there appears to be a painting upon doors, I assume of a person in period costume with a beard and holding his collars.
A couple of seconds later the picture is shown with the alleged ghost which Chris took. However there is a lot more light in the church and cameras and light can be a very turbulent relationship. But I clearly, when zoomed in, see the picture of the guy, holding his collars.
My gut tells me it is not a ghost but a light distorting what is already there. I am no expert just took a good look.
As for the rest I have no idea.
    Thanks for sharing.❤

The Bruno Hauptmann story appears on a documentary called ‘Ghosts on the Underground’ which is available here on UA-cam.
In it the lady who took the photo adds an interesting twist to the story. She later received a message via a psychic medium about the photo. The message apparently said “I didn’t do what I was accused of but did do something else” 👻

I was more admiring of the little Oriental holding a camera under the “hopper window” and the demonic entity behind the window, ✝️ - as a devoted Christian, I know that demons can take on any form they want & haunt us in various ways = this one masqueraded as a haunted poster in the tube tunnel ~ depicting the 🇺🇸 criminal being “electrocuted” in the infamous electric chair. I assume the original subject was the Oriental child and his parents on ether side of the “window” or they were an early form of Chinese tourists in London that the photographer wanted to take a photo of, ether the demon formed itself on the negative in the camera after the photo was taken, the camera had a strobe “flasher” module fitted on it and the demon made itself visible in the flash, as the photographer was focusing on the Oriental boy the demon would have suddenly appeared in her peripheral vision in the window above him ~ “🤨 - I thought I saw something in that window above him” and thought nothing about it until she went to have the film developed. As for the train interior; that would be an antique 1928 standard stock or a 1938 tube train ~ due to the influence of “Charles Yerkes” all those early electric tube trains had the appearance/styling of American street cars/train carriages

I had a ghostly experience once. I was working in a room with the door open and I saw someone enter the room out of the corner of my eye. Then a few seconds later I felt a touch on my left shoulder and I turned around and there was nobody there! It was just me in the room and all the hairs on my arms and neck stood on end.

The Bakerloo 'Electric Chair' photo always makes me think of the 1989 movie by Wes Craven, 'Shocker'. I have always been puzzled by this picture, though - there does not seem to be any reasonable explanation for it.
I've never been convinced by the 'Enfield Poltergeist' though. It always seemed to be too convenient, and the pictures show kids jumping about. No more than that. Several people have said that they are sure that the objects thrown, or broken, were done by the children, as were the voices heard. It's similar to a much older haunting in London, that of the 18th century Cock Lane ghost, the now amusingly named 'Scratching Fanny'. Hundreds of people taken in by it, and it turned out to be a young person, very much alive, providing the phenomena all along.

Absolutely brilliant Rob. The strange thing is, we watched Ghosts on the Underground the other night, and the electric chair pic was shown on that. Very big believer in ghosts here, I used to work in a building with a resident ghost, and just about all of us sensed, and saw her, even some joiners doing work in the building at night told us off for not telling them it was haunted, they actually saw her too.

Hiya Rob. I love this sort of stuff... makes the hairs stand up and the spine shiver at times...... I do believe there is something left behind..... lets understand, we do have a small amount of electricity generated in the heart and brain which helps us function. So why not have some sort of charge left by someone that maybe died in a bad circumstance, or simply didnt feel ready to leave the earth as a physical soul..... does make for a good conversation.
Now, I am not sure if you know the history of Ludgate Hill and City Thameslink Station. I worked there for several years and when the station was built the hill was made higher so the new tunnel could be buried beneath the road service after the bridge was removed. The platform offices run along platform A and are behind a fascaded wall. Before the STation came along, if you stoof on the North East Corner of Ludgate Hill lokking towards Fleet Street there was a pub to your right hand side called the King George.... (the last time I was there it was an Abbey National) and next to the pub was a shop that manufactured big Arga cookers, In their basement was a workshop. When Ludgate hill was excavated the pub cellar and the workshop of the Arga place were exposed. The roof of the cellar is still in place behind the offices on Platform 1, and behind a small corner the stairs down to the cellar are still partially visible. At the North End of the Station by Holborn, it is said that during the building work, they had to cut through the corridor that took prisnors from Highgate Prison which was near St Pauls and led through to the big Court House opposite.
During my time there, myself and several others had some interesting experiences. It was both rather nerve racking but also very interesting at times..... some of the staff became accustomed to some interesting things over the years... a few contractors that worked nights there refused to come back after one episode, which several of us witnessed. If your ever on the SE side of London let me know.... would love to have that pint with you we mentioned a while back.
Hope your family and you of course are all doing well. Best wishes.

One either believes or one doesn’t. Admittedly the photos, taken before computer imaging software, are, if they’re not fakes, difficult to explain. But I’m always reminded of the Cottingley fairies, photographed in 1917. They fooled many people including Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes. I’ve never seen or photographed anything inexplicable, but my sister and her husband were forced to sell their home in Fareham after a series of strange and rather disturbing incidents while they were in the process of renovating and improving the old house.

I think the Tulip Stairway was the true one. It just looked most real. I am a believer having had 3 ghosts in my house and had something sit down next to me. I had to have my house spiritually cleaned which got rid of 2. The 3rd one wasn't much of a bother. I also believe in the St Botolph Without is true. The Hampton Court one looks like someone in costume. I remember the whole thing with the Enfield poltergeist and my parents were skeptical about it. Though I don't see how a little girl could talk with such a low voice. Great Halloween post.

No photos I'm afraid but way back when my late Ma used to clean offices in Thackeray's old house in Young Street off Kensington High Street down the side of Barkers as was (I think anyway). there was a small 'tweeny' area too small for an office where filing cabinets lived in a row and Ma, despite beng a good Catholic girl, was half minded to imagine a ghost because that small area, whatever the temperature around and about, was always really cold.
On the subject of W.M.Thackeray there was supposed to be a tunnel from his house to The Greyhound pub, diagonally opposite his house so that he could indulge in whatever the pub had to offer without being spotted. Nobody ever found it and I'm sure the story is entirely apocryphal but an amusing thought nonetheless.

At the time it did get a bit of local attention, but I don't remember it being BIG news. But then again I was 16/17, so had bigger fish to fry LOL.

Apparently I just never had a camera with me at the time, or I simply neglected to utilize it if I did. St. Botolph's was founded by the St. Botolph's Augustinian foundation in Colchester, but Augustinian Canons wear a black habit, so the figure is not one of them. However, in 1307, there was a trial of some Knights Templar here by the Inquisition. The Templars had a large cross on their habits, but the Dominican habit of the Inquisitors was exactly as worn by the ghost. Maybe one of the inquisitors is tortured by a bad conscience, since the charges against the Templars were trumped up by the French King, so the Dominicans will have had to have fabricated them.

Thank you very much Rob, this was so interesting that I watched it twice. I never really thought much about ghosts, but I don't discount them as many people seem to have experienced them. Also, I heard an explanation once that in places where a now deceased person had experienced intense emotion, they left behind a strong energy field that could manifest as a ghost. I found the second image terrifying. If it was an older train carriage with windows on just one side, would it be possible that it was a poster opposite the window? The video of "Skeletor" looks so real that I wonder if it was a real person in the video, perhaps a homeless man? If not, the video is amazing.
Was that you and your dog in St. Botolph's? Is he a Border Collie or a Border Collie mix? I love dogs.

Rob, what happened it was at our old house, we had a through lounge. In the room facing the back of the house between the right side of the chimney breast and the wall separating the two rooms I had placed book shelves. There was no gaps between the books and each was behind the the outside edge of the shelf, too remove a book you had to place a finger on top and move it so you were able to lift it out.
One Sunday morning I was sitting in the front room , without any warning or noise three large books deposited themselves into a position a good three feet away from the shelf the room went cold and the dog disappeared to the kitchen
Months we had a gathering, on that evening sound equipment was playing up finally I got it going
Two people left without any warning the wife just we are going thanks
My wife asked the other wife on Monday what was wrong
I forget the husbands name but the story read like this
      Everything was going well
UNTILL HE SAW A PERSON WALK DOWN THE STAIRS AND PASS THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR, he was gone, never to return
      Another incident that is weird
We the family were traveling to Devon for holiday. We were on the A303, I remember I was 5 or 6 at the time.
I was sitting on the off side behind dad driving, looking out the window I saw this house, Manor House of the the village you say but not a stately house
Without saying a word my thoughts were one day I will live in that house
Ten years later when I left school I joined a YMCA farm training scheme
That house was the first house I lived in when I left home the YMCA had taken over the whole top floor and the stable block
Two occurrences I can put no logical explanation to
But people laugh when I tell about the person and the door
      What are your thoughts ??

Now everyone has video & still equipment with them at all times you would expect there to be a huge increase in the number of paranormal images.
If the paranormal exists, of course.
My own feeling is that now photography is free of the vaguaries if emulsion on film & the wet developing process then double exposures, light entering the camera snd a multitude of other problems that can arise have been eliminated.
There's always the "Didn't notice anything until the film was developed!" clause which is when these errors are noticed.
The same is happening with CCTV. In it's infancy the grainy, low resolution images were perfect for pareidolia to eork on with a corresponding high number of CVTV ghosts.
As resolution & clarity in low light conditions improved then the numbers of unexplained imagery has fallen.

For those of you who are interested in the *Enfield Poltergeist* case. There is a photograph of Janet sleeping on top of a radio set and she was found by John Burcombe, (who apparently is Janet's uncle) he has a very puzzled and worried look on his face. He has every right to be, because the night before that photo was taken. Janet was given a Valium injection and place in her bed.
