I was 12 years old, it was a sunday evening, and Ezodumo closed the show with an exclusive new music video from one Selaelo Selote. First time hearing about him. When i tell you that the next day when i got to school, everyone kept screaming "trrrrrrrr pha!!!!!!!"😂
To us 🥂❤who are not here just because of some video but to enjoy this masterpiece and we also have great taste when it comes to music.

I was 8 years old when my uncle used to play this song now I am 22 BUT IT FEELS NEW EVERYDAY.
Can you translate if you understand the song... or kidly explain the story behind the 'Phaaaa!!'
What are they singing
What does it mean?
The official theme song for slaps across the globe
U nailed it
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣pa!
Rest In peace to my late grandmother and all our loved ones whom we kingly remember playing these tunes
Born in America , a black man and I can't understand a G*damn thing he is singing about, But the groove is so smooth and his voice make you drift away back to the Motherland, Selota Selota Emoja be bless to all tribes yes yes !!!!
Thank you.
When the door is locked you come in through the window. It's about making a plan so that life can go on.
Don’t know what the heck he’s singing about the guitar, the melody and composition are pretty freakin’ awesome. Fantastic song.
The bass guitar does it for me
Translation : "when you get into the meeting you have to pay money"
Translation "to enter the door for the fight you need to pay (5c). Old men don't pay at the door" it's a song about underground fights or the underground fighting scenes all over Gauteng (South African province). If your an elder or a regular you don't pay at the door.
I'm from Brazil and I love this song!
Premium African Expressionist Art….avant garde to be honest!!! Timeless…classical and profoundly beautiful. So quintessentially South African…thank you!!!
Lol that yeeeerr phaar it hit different yeerrr phaaar😂😂
Going to watch it everyday till it gets to a million views
😂😂😂So I really had to come here after watching the video.😭😭💀
The one with the chick falling? 😂

Being raised with good music is gift I didn’t know I’d come to appreciate as much as I do in adulthood. Thank you Ntate Selota.
Couldn't have put it better monna. 🙌🏿
Thank you🙏
This is still one heck of a ride for me...to this day. I remember when I introduced this song to my band members when I was in my second year at University Of Cape Town...it was 26 years ago...they were all confused, but boy did it catch fire...Just yesterday, 11 December 2021 we tore the air with the performance that echoed ENCORE at the end of our concert...!!!
Thank you very much baba. This is more than a song. I used to hate this song as a child but throughout my life it has been a constant bringer of joy. You made magic. Ngiyabonga.
@@mondlingubane5963 this resonates with me too. I think jazz is too mature for children to understand. I used to not like jazz in general when I was young. Also the fact that it was played on Sunday (Monday would be school didn’t help). As I have grown older I appreciate it so much
You are a true inspiration Sir. Reminds me so much of my DAD.
T
hank you for this song,I've been listening to it for years, since I was a child and I don't even know the lyrics, lol,I always come back to it.
