Busqué , busque y volví a buscar esa canción, fragmentos de ella aparecían en mi cabeza , después de más de 18 años la encontré. Tenia el presentimiento de escucharla deje la radio encendida toda la noche y me despertó a las 7:23 esa voz. Fui feliz puedo morir tranquilo. Descanse
Guy has INCREDIBLE range and a great voice. He knows his instrument and what he can and can't do live. Very FEW people could pull this song off live. Great song. Maybe just shouldn't do it live. It's a tough decision to make. But he is well trained. Great control. I think he just got caught in the middle with this one. That's all.
for everybody saying he wasn't feeling well like this was a bad performance please kindly stfu because you don't know what you are talking about. This is an incredibly high range chorus to sing for any man and Brent almost always uses a pulled chest voice that deceives you into thinking the notes aren't as high as they are. Please feel encouraged to try this song yourself (no singing under your breath) and post it so we can all see and have a good laugh. Thanks
What happened to the world? I remember times such as this when you could turn on the TV and see great rock and metal bands. Now you turn on TV and see all this computer made music, knowbody picks up or knows what an instrument is.
to anyone who thinks he cannot sing. it's old but gold. They performed to a radio LIVE. so it's a proof that he NAILS THOSE HIGH NOTES. Shinedown - Fly From The Inside [Rockline 2-23-04]
wow.. people change. I haven't seen this video in a year or two, and back then people said "Damn that man can sing!", "best vocals ever!!". And now we're just spoiled brats, nothing is good enough, not even when he tears his voice we bitch and moan. Just because of the playback in "Somewhere in the stratosphere" dvd.. And yeah, playback sucks fairy balls, but, he sings his ass off here. Credit where credit due, and he gives his all for us in this performance. thank you Brent!
Brent Smith is one of the better singers out there. But he sets himself up for failure live, meaning during a studio recording you can take as many breaks as you want to get the song perfect. He's got a great range, but bad endurance. They just need to record songs that aren't so high, then the concerts won't be such a strain for him.
@TheSmashBro1 That's called getting off drugs. Amphetamines to be precise. Better man for it! Great band, Great vocalist! And they got much better live and in the studio after this!
Wow. Brent has really let himself go since then, hasn't he? XD Oh well, I kinda like his voice in the Sound of Madness the best. I like the bit of raspiness that it grew. Shinedown is fantastic!
Bet you regret this statement now jackass. Who cares about his weight anyway? His brilliance in art, couldn't be tarnished from some weight requirement from a dumbass on UA-cam. Oh by the way, hes ripped now, much like your mother's womb.
or you can even go a whole step down live instead of just a half step because most people wont even recognize that they're favorite song sounds slightly different live.. from what i know Metallica plays like, Enter Sandman in standard D tuning live instead of E so James can sing it better and they still play other songs in E or sometimes Eb you know? I think Brent would benefit so he's not COMPLETLEY destroying his vocal chords and it would just sound better for everyone
@Drumkingza He can't hit the notes bcause his voice would be ripped to shreds afterwards. You try to sing that high for so long. It gets shredded. Nobody can sing that high for so long unless your voice is naturally high.
In all honesty, i would rather Brent Smith sing his songs and a be a little off rather then lip sync. At least he would be trying. i mean prime example here.....he didnt lip sync and he tried and even though it was a bit off and didnt sound exactly as it did in the studio....It was still Great!! and sounded really good!!
Idgf who you are Scott Weiland or Bach you won’t here a vocalist try to hit these notes live like Brent does here and contain your ego but you can obviously hear he is holding back
No, I'm afraid you're wrong. People have been criticizing him for not being able to hit the same notes as on the album for quite some time now. It's been more than a year or two, easily.
Why did they leave? I love when Shinedown had five members. Something was huge about their sound with five. I know it's just one less person but still.
i heared Brad Stewart and Jasin Todd were kicked off the band for telling Brent to stop Lip-syncing...Brad was replaced with Zach Myers. later on Jasin was kicked off the band and then Eric Bass joined Shinedown, then Zach Myers replaced Jasin with guitar, Eric played on Bass guitar till today.
THIS. is the real shinedown.
michael hendricks What messing up the chorus?
i was wondering why this song gave me such nostalgia and a feeling of melancholy.. wrestlemania ... where tf has time gone lol
Ikr
Back in time when rey mysterio was world heavyweight champion :P
A great era of wrestling
Literally The only time that he hasn’t hit the high notes in the chorus and still made it sound amazing

Lorence Jordi here ya go. ua-cam.com/video/yPwxiFjOCWk/v-deo.html
He has never nailed the chorus from I dare you though
Still, amazing vocalist.
This is friggin awesome !!!
AWESOME AWESOMENESS!
Brad Stewart, Jasin Todd, Barry Kerch and Brent Smith together = perfection
And zach Myers on rhythm guitar during this era. Both Jasin and zach were a great lead/rhytm guitar combo
dont forget the zach myers was in this
@@davidcatanus4922 Absolutely agree. 🤘
This is def one of my favorite songs of theirs - maybe the best 1 in my opinion
Eu amo essa música nesse tom ele é perfeito
This was awesome! What a voice!

hahahaha how smug is jasin todds face at 2:07 when he has his little solo !
fucking awesome live
Ya he was their touring guitarist for Us and Them
Yea your def right that he doesn't hit all the normal high notes but still really good
Im not sure he’s ever actually sang this song album version live.
@GordoDustin Yeah I agree. Most of their recent live shows are tuned way down so he can reach those high notes, and he barely does then.
@theSFjammer when i made the comment the user had put the title as the wm27 theme

its also hard to sing this when you're drugged out
I feel like this band became a lot less badass after Jasin left.
Jasin is a great guitarist, he is more rock than Zack. I miss this man and Brad on bass in Shinedown.
@TheSmashBro1 That's called getting off drugs. Amphetamines to be precise. Better man for it! Great band, Great vocalist! And they got much better live and in the studio after this!
why have so few people seen this?
@cole003f i guess you don't know your roman numerals

Yep this is true
@cole003f oh really...my fault then
@Drumkingza it would surprise me more if he actually hit the notes.. he just can't do it as good live, still a good singer though.

I think the reason he can't hit the high notes was because he is not feeling well that time....Shinedown Forever!!!
Idgf who you are Scott Weiland or Bach you won’t here a vocalist try to hit these notes live like Brent does here and contain your ego but you can obviously hear he is holding back
haha yeah don't worry i wont, but they will sooner or later find out! lol
Lol I dare you to tell me a vocalist of the 2000’s or above that is better than Brent and the only reason I narrowed it down is because of axel
is that Zach? on the left?
Yes
@@GiBsOnX92 no it's not 😂
No, I'm afraid you're wrong. People have been criticizing him for not being able to hit the same notes as on the album for quite some time now. It's been more than a year or two, easily.
Yep. Just don't tell this to any Shinedown fans or they'll get all butthurt on you.
He didn’t take notes as usually. Sorry for this

@@MikeSmedleyOLDSCHOOLSTRIPERS dude....it's lip sync
this wasnt the song for wm27
cole003fit was wrestlemania 22 (2006)
Nope Wrestlemania 22 in 2006
whos the second guitarist?
wikipedia
Jason Todd. Zack Myers does backup. Later Jason left and Nick Perri took over, then he left and Zach stepped up.
Zach Myers

he didn't hit the highs that sucked toehrwise it was fine
So show us. Go find any live concert video on UA-cam in which he does and isn't obviously lip-syncing the chorus. I dare you. Pun intended.
He must not feel well all the time, then.
"I dare you" to sing this live and not butcher the chorus. Terrible
He never has--unless he blatantly lip-syncs it, of course.
andyquinntv I like the chorus here better than the original, if live performances are supposed to sound the same as the album then what's the point...
andyquinntv ua-cam.com/video/yPwxiFjOCWk/v-deo.html
This guy absolutely cannot hit the high notes to save his life.
What does this song have anything to do with Wrestle-mania? It does not fit. Wrestle-mania is for morons, but this song is spiritual..!
It was on wrestle mania 22 2006
Woah. Not very good. Studio version is a great song. He doesn't hit any of the high notes here. Yikes!
