Meanwhile I spent the last two weeks watching Netflix 😬 Poor gears lost a few teeth fighting with that metal! Nice work getting everything knit back together. Happy New Year 😊🎉
🙂👍🏻. We started this in the middle of November! It seemed a long slow grind at times 😉. Patience saw through. Happy New Year! Gardening will be in swing soon 🙂
Congrats! I am sure it's nice to have done but not something you love to do! There is peace of mind knowing that a major component is in solid shape, should give years of service.
It must be a nice feeling to have your tractor ready to go for spring! I have never owned a Massey but I think they are a pretty cool tractor. I was just watching a video about the 1100 series. They were sure ahead of the competition at that time with some of the features that they had. Do you know much about the 2600- 2800 series tractors? From what I've read the 24 speed transmission had a lot of problems. Also did they discontinue making the higher horse tractors for a few years between the 2600-2800 and the 3600 series tractors? Thanks Jack and Happy New Year.
Thanks for watching! I am very optimistic about the field work this coming year :)) The guys working on my tractor are an old MF Dealer. They have seen the entire progression of MF through the years! They tell the story of a 2805 that they "left the stands up" cause it was never far from the shop ;). Massey majorly broke ground with the 1100 series in the 1960's. Massey in America went broke in the 80's and the 2000 series as well as combine over-production had something to do with that. MF continued to make small tractors around the world (UK and Brazil). They continued to make high horsepower tractors in Beauvais, France (since 1960). The tractor that I am working on is a modern variant of the 3660 which started production in 1990. They have the same transmission which MF continuously improved...the dynashift, which is a four speed powershift, with 32 gears. The engine is a modern variant as well from the mid 90's (402 ci). My tractor is a base model and the end of the classic dynashift era. The transmissions are now dyna 6 or CVT. Agco pioneered the CVT in the high horsepower tractors. My tractor at 180 hp is now almost a small hp tractor... The problem that I dealt with is a "one off" as best as we can figure. A bearing failed in the 4 speed portion of the transmission (not the dynashift or power shuttle). I had to replace two shafts...one can from Italy and MF air freighted the other from NZ at no charge to me. These were not "shelf" parts ;) or salvage parts either as our salvage query returned NO SALVAGE parts available in North America! I chose this tractor for it's simplicity (think computers) and because I have had good luck with my 6180 which is an older/smaller tractor of the same series. Happy New Year!
Well...we have 5500 in parts and I am hoping to stay under 12 total 😳😉. Still much cheaper than new👍🏻. I think total costs including purchase will be 10 below valuation 🙂. It’s a lot of tractor!
Quite the repair job. I'm looking forward to see it hooked up to that field cultivator. It doesn't sound Spanish and I don't think it's German. Could that be an Italian song?
Not common and best guess is original error. Previous owner was somewhat hard on machines... A salvage query returned no salvage tractors in North America. Knowledgeable dealers have not seen it, other than one case where a tractor was towed (not running) and failed to pressure lubricate the transmission. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year!
Oh boy! Looks a bit expensive! Our new stuffer is coming from Italy, should be here the end of January! It'll be a very nice upgrade from our current Ez Pak stuffer we are using!
@@GeigerFarm Thanks Jack, just been real busy this year between farming and the meat plant I just haven't had much desire to make many videos. But I have big plans for the farm and meat plant in 2021 so hopefully I will get back into making videos and share whats going on! Happy New Year!
The story that the song tells mirrors how we came to this place 🙂. My viewers are worldwide as well. I am not giving a tutorial on the repair, rather making a testament for what occurred and final outcome 👍🏻.
Nice music Geiger Farm 😆😉.
Greeting from Poland 🇵🇱 and Happy new year 😊🎉🎆
Mam nadzieję, że z twoją rodziną wszystko jest w porządku, szczęśliwego Nowego Roku !!
That is a nice looking tractor. Wow, what a project! Can't wait to see her at work :)
Thanks! Same here 🙂
Looks like it's ready to go to work! Well done!
👍🏻 gotta get the 2400 # rear weight on...then we’ll see if she can pull🙂. The 6180 is hoping she pulls like she looks, good 😂. Thanks, happy New Year!
Awesome project Jack! I’m excited for you! That’s a nice looking rig. Happy New Year my friend ☃️
Thanks Andy 🙂, happy New Year to your family 🇺🇸!

Piękny podkład muzyczny pozdrowienia z Polski 😀
Dzięki za oglądanie!!

Thank you! Her little brother 6180 has been a perfect helper 🙂. I bought her with the defect known, now it is fixed!👍🏻
You mentioned that in an earlier video, a major plus. Planned repair vs. unwelcome visitor.
Thats a big girl! Have fun!
Thanks Dennis 🙂, happy New Year and stay safe 👍🏻
@@GeigerFarm you as well!

Polish👍🏻🙂. It seemed to fit the film technique and subject matter is sometimes how I think about my machines😉
Is this a common problem or just bad luck? Either way interesting project.

Nice job, I'm assuming you've done a few.
Not many... I am usually the one breaking them😉. I assisted a real mechanic, one of my heroes!
Well now I bet your glad to have that done lol

@@larsonvalleyfarm Nice 👍🏻
Well that was an expensive Christmas present.
Cheap compared to new of JD ;) :)!! Thanks!
Jesteś Polakiem ?
Nie, nie polski :)! Niektórzy przodkowie pochodzili z Polski. Po prostu lubię muzykę! Czasami moje traktory są jak Marta;) !!!!
Oh well , there went the profit 😂🤣😂🤣👍🏻🇺🇸✌️🙏
😂😂😂who said there was gonna be a profit 🤣
Nothing to it :)

Why the irritant music....?
