    ---------------------------------------------------
A special video, something I have been on the hunt for ages now, a classic Zanussi Spin Dryer, model SD2811W. This was the model I had as my first ever Spin Dryer at the age of 9 in 2006. Originally gifted as a Christmas present to me, then later had to be scrapped when the spring was damaged on the brake arm, it was something I sorely missed.
HooverLux (and I think servisslimline) recently acquired one, as seen during one of my videos at his wash-in back in November. They have to be the quietest and smoothest spin dryers I've ever heard and having a generous 4.5kg capacity (though I'm yet to actually determine if it is truly 4.5kg or not), they fit a lot in, with a very powerful spin result. This one so far has gotten stuff the driest of all the ones I own.
In this video, I explain the story behind this Spin Dryer, clean her up both outside and in, then run a maiden load of towels from the Hotpoint 9530 in her! Very glad to have preserved yet another childhood appliance!
Thank you for watching and enjoy! :).

Lovely cleaning video Brandon thanks - My Grandma used to have one of these back int the 1970s it looked more like R2-D2 , but it was metal and was loud which i loved as a child

Glad you enjoyed it Ian! And you were one person who came to mind when I was about to skip out the cleaning stage, because I recall you saying you enjoyed watching that, so...thank you for reminding me 😝. I think Zanussi did a previous version with a darker beige tint to it, but almost identical style. So glad you enjoyed this and YES! I too think they look like R2-D2...or maybe could even style one as a Dalek, it does move after all haha

I liked them, except the 7511 model which was only 1400rpm, but other models they did were 2800rpm too. I did have a 7511 many years ago, but was very heavily rusted sadly

Nice. Can I show a little part of your old video with the Hotpoint doing the single items challenge in mine Rotka LG video doing the same thing? It has just nothing to do with the collour run or so, I wanted just to show how you have started this set of my videos, give me a good idea :D Thanks forward...

Hi mate. Personally myself I don’t know much or anything about wringer washers. If you try asking Mike (@WeHadOneOfThose), he might be able to give more information on those. Hope this helps 😊

@@HooverA3060 that’s ok. I’ve also just bought a creda auto pump. Spin drier I’m guessing it must be from the 80s as it has a moulded plug on it. Seems to work ok paid £20. On fb market place
