Yes, you're seeing/hearing that correctly. He voices Professor X and present-day Apocalypse (but not past-day En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse). The plot thickens?
@@civilwildman People always forget James Blendick who replaced John Colicos after season 2 and voiced Apocalypse in seasons 3-5. Thanks you two. I was reluctant to say anything because I actually appreciate Ross Marquand's work. It's my policy not to engage with potential trolls or overwhelming negativity. Thanks for calling them out, I appreciate it!
It's riffing on a very similar line Grant Morrison wrote for Charles during the Genosha genocide in the 2000s comics. Super cool to see it tributed here, even in a very different mood.
That’s Ross Marquand! He’s a really talented guy. He also played red skull infinity war and endgame and infinity ultron in what if in marvel and Aaron on the walking dead.
Wait wait wait…! …Aaron, from “The Walking Dead”!? Edit: I know the “joke” is that most of the Guardians of the Globe in “Invincible” were voiced by the cast from The Walking Dead… …but Charles Xavier had such a distinct voice…! It was so different than Immortal! Whatta range!
While not bad; his Xavier leaves much to be desired. He sounds unsure of himself and the lines they give him (as well as his facial expressions in the show) don't help any ("They were dancing, drinking wine and making love!" has got to be the stupidest thing I ever heard and makes him sound like a creeper; lol).
It’s directly pulled from the comics, where he witnesses (telepathically) what happened to everyone on Genosha, including what they were doing just before.

He also did robot from invincible

Make a “same voice actor” video with Lex Lang being Dr doom and suguru geto
No way he’s playing both Charles and Apocalypse at the same time!
Troy Baker once played Batman AND the Joker in Batman vs TMNT.
@@trasegorsuch5140Still wild to me that the one movie Troy played both was a crazy crossover with the Turtles.

How convenient and what a lucky man he is.

Ross Marquand does very good Cedric Smith impression you almost can't even tell that that's new voice actor for Professor
He even nails the scream.
I didn't even realize it was until now, I noticed he sounded different but thought it was just cause of modern sound tech and engineering techniques
He also plays Rudy in invincible!
I knew he voiced rudy in invincible but I had no idea he was the immortal too! Love finding these things out.
I love how Ross Marquand is just casually a prolific VA on top of being in a kick ass live action show (if not more, I just know him from TWD)
I miss the original voice actor for Apocalypse. Rest in power.

I love that moment with The Immortal. The Mauler Twins did not want that smoke.
He does a spot on Red Skull impersonation too, and not like the weathered down version in IW/Endgame, he was instructed not to make it the same.
