    i agree i have 4 children 3 of which daughters and my older two are close in age my oldest did make a path and shes a leader she felt she had to prove things college moving out buying a car ect and she has done everyting she has set her mind too but her sister felt like she was in her shadow and it is a challenge but i just make sure to praise them each as individuals and allow them to find themselves in the Lord. We all just do the best we can. another quick story our gram passed away and we were able to fly our oldest in for the funeral and everyone made such a big deal in front of her sister how happy they were to see her and the poor kid literly stood there and said im here too. its hard but great job momma! Raising kids is hard work but so much fun!

    You shopped nicely. I mean in Poland those families which are on stricked budged would buy basics: milk, chicken, flour, sugar , eggs margarine instead butter. No convenience food ( too expensive), no nuts or frozen fruit or cookies. So happy, that with one income and your good wife eye you manage so good. 😊❤

      Thank you! I can’t tell you how grateful I am to be able to buy more than just the basics, we are so blessed here in America and sadly many people take it for granted.

    Im so ashamed of that lady! Your kids are just so sweet, well behaved, and adorable. None of them should ever be ignored! Certainly never by adults who seemingly know better! Sweet Mable. 💝

    Your children are so cute! Baby cheeks are so kissable. We get our butter at Sam's club, and thankfully it ends up being under $4/lb. But man, when I saw the price of eggs the other day I felt sick! We got rid of our chickens when we moved last year, but egg prices are making me considering getting chickens again.
    I was the 4th of six kids, so I totally get it. We had the oldest, then the only boy. Then the smart, responsible one. Followed by me, then a medically fragile child, and then the baby. Haha, so I literally just felt like the blob in the middle. But I think it helps me sympathize with my middle children. And yes, you just learn to deal with it. I wasn't miserable or anything, but at the same time I wasn't spoiled or babied. I knew I was loved. Mable sounds like such a sweetheart.

      This is so good to hear that you turned out well haha
      I’m sorry you were the blob but you’re so right, you’re now able to sympathize with your middle children which is beautiful! I hope my kids all know how loved they are, like you did!
      I also hope you’ll get chickens again, I am so sad to have to buy eggs as well, we’ve been without egg layers about a year and miss them a lot.

    I found Kerry good butter at sams for .51cents for 1&1/2 pounds! I bought 21 pounds! I asked and thry said it was being discontinued and what didn’t sell would he donated. Deal of the century!

    It might be different because both your first and second born are girls. Our oldest is a boy and #2 is a girl. He was always helpful in a physical sense (dishes, keeping things picked up), but when it came to relationships Emma has always been superior (he's 23 and much better with relationships now 😁). But Emma is super quiet...not shy necessarily, but just very introverted and steady so the attention was never naturally on her. Good news for you is that they will grow up appreciating each other (and of course point out some of the things you failed at as a parent 😂...we have a good relationship with our oldests so it's all in good fun when they talk about "how they would never get away with...." when commenting on our parenting now. Great job recognizing Miss Mabel!
    Do you guys pray the seasonal Marian prayers? Sweet Maristella must think Advent/Christmas is just for her!!!!! "Gate of heaven, Star of the Sea...."
    Wow, this got long-winded! Great video!!

      @texasfamilylife8397  5 днів тому

      This is so interesting! I love that your boy was physically helpful, that is wonderful! I like introverted and steady people, I always wished I could be more quiet like my dad. He doesn’t step in and speak unless it’s like super necessary lol, and that’s when you know it’s time to listen! Agh there you go again making me a bit sad about older kids! It’s great that can speak with you about things you did as a parent and actually have open conversations where you can laugh at past situations.
      We do not pray the seasonal Marian prayers I don’t think, we pray the Little Office though and that’s where we found “Maristella”!

    My oldest is not a typical oldest child, my 2nd has all the traits of an oldest child and my 3rd is sensitive and cuddly and is a mom pleaser. Since I have 13 I don’t know how that works but they have all thrown me for a loop. Being the oldest of 6 I knew what I need done and knew what I wanted. I was not expecting my oldest to behave like my “baby” brother, he’s needy and needs direction he’s 19 years old. My 17 year old wants to be a pilot and she has taken her asvab, has applied for scholarships, and will receive her AS degree by the end of the trimester, she is a go getter. The weird thing is they do fit true to their Zodiac signs.

      This is wild, what an adventure since you can really pin any one child. Your daughter sounds incredible, way to be a go getter! Haha why does your oldest act like your baby brother? You know what though, my parents oldest child acts like she is the youngest 😂 and I’d say I’m the least “baby” of the family even though I was the youngest. Gives me something to think about, thanks for sharing!

    • @leeandd2278
      @leeandd2278 День тому

      @ my baby brother is a year older then my son and neither are go getters, they both need direction, are peer oriented (idk if that’s a birth order thing), and he’s super cuddly!

    We experienced the same dynamic in our family of 3. To this day (in her 30's) she feels the burden of being the middle child!

    • @texasfamilylife8397
      @texasfamilylife8397  16 днів тому

      Haha oh goodness, I believe it. Sadly though there is no “perfect” spot! I was the “baby” but being so all my sisters were jealous of me and often unfriendly because of it, which was hard. They still poke at me about being the baby 😂 oh well.
