So here's my question then- What was Ordis, or rather Oran Karris? We know he wasn't an Orokin, that's clear enough. He was intelligent, well trained, extraordinarily fast, intelligent, and had a flair for the symbolic. This seems to rule out the Grineer. Corpus at this point in time would still have been dedicated solely to Orokin R&D. So than what was he? Perhaps there was a group of relatively unmodified humans that the Orokin would occasionally pull warriors from, either predating or in supplementation of the Tenno? A sort of middle ground between the echelons of the Orokin and the servitude if the Grineer and Corpus? We know such a group exist in modern times, but this seems to be the first reference to such a group actually part of Orokin society. It occurs to me that Inaros took it upon himself to protect a similar group, but they didn't even seem to know what the Orokin where, let alone have a proper stake in their society. Though it's possible that the Tenno did not even exist until sometime after Ordan's betrayal.
Probably a lesser human warrior, yeah. Maybe not quite as low as the people in Inaros' story, they seemed pretty ignorant of the system as a whole, but I wouldn't rule it out.
+StallordD it seems like he was a Gladiator. He mentions that he was fighting for loot and the pleasure of the Orokin. It would also make sense for why the Orokin treat him as an honored guest.
+Aurelius Talis I don't think so. The way he talks sounds more like someone consigned to the battlefield than an arena. I believe he also says that they were called mercenaries, which has a very separate connotation. That, coupled with his use of the word "genocide" make me think he meant he was fighting to protect the decadent lifestyle of the Orokin, not necessarily for their amusement. Perhaps he and his compatriots were used to quell some manner of rebellion? That would explain his extreme guilt, hatred of the Orokin, and why he was treated as an honored guest. Prevailing generals usually are.
Aurelius Talis He explicitly states he was NOT fighting for loot. He says he and his brethren fought for the glory of warfare and not for honor or riches. That with all the tales of his killings indicate a war torn past, not one in gladiator arenas.
from this it seems to me that maybe the orokin was the name for the ruling class that made themselves immortal. they take credit for all progress and write all history about their own glory and we now view the orokin as the whole civilization. ordis was a warrior who hated the upper class because mortals were just toys to them, but he was chosen to be immortal. makes me think tho... maybe orokin were cephalons without precepts in non-combatant war frames? being cephalons with data backups would allow them to "die countless times" and war frames do have biological componets. any part that requires humanity could be an achievement of a mortal rewritten for the glory of the orokin. IDK there's people something to disprove me.
It just hit me now that ordan karris might be related to excal umbra... Consumpton of kuva, red liquid, orokin killer, scarlet sword... a sacrifice... Man, i so hope that is the case
This game has such an immersive story and it’s very broad and vibrant and I can relate to it because it’s about the feeling of knowing what inside of you and what’s been being hidden from you by the upperclassmen and how we’re so blind
This is all so fucked up... Ordis existing just for us despise his true nature, Lotus letting it happen despise most probably knowing of his nature... Lotus, PLEASE, just let him die! Govern our Orbiters with your own damn mind, you outta manage that with your Sentient mind! Or even better, remove his mental breaks Orokin put on him!... That's Orokin for you, I guess. Rotten through and through. Warframe universe is so fucking dark...
So he can't just delete his memories, merely supress them. They come back every now and then, it will forever be with him, and that was his punishment. He's still adorable tho-
After all this year. I was looking in the codex to read them, starting to hear strange noises and thought it comes from the transmitter until I closed it and didn't hear it anymore, so I opened the codex again then realised the noise gets stronger be moving the cursor to a specific point and BOOM hear I am. Simply WOW
Honestly, I would love a mission where you can sort of free Ordis, like let him just roam the weave and maybe hear back from him every now and then, and make a new Cephalon with a volunteer
@@janfungusamon4926 Nah, like Simaris it's also a part of his old name, which was Irmis. Meanwhile Suda's name remained the same due to her Archemedian status.
Also I used to hate ordis, but after this my view of him has completely shifted, i enjoy his character. His violent outbursts now makes sense to me, it's his true identify peeking through his cephalon character
How blasphemous a murderer/assassin of rotting envy turned immortal given a gift of burdened immortality to feel to not feel to be and not be in an infinite simulation will of and not of Cephalons truly are in hell
"I am neither code nor precepts. I must be a reflection of something... ugly." "How many times have I done this, Ordis? Remembered, and then erased? ... Truth only sinks the heart. So stop now." You can pinpoint the exact moments when my heart shatters and then shatters again! Seriously though, do you know how sad this is? While we've been sleeping for centuries, Ordis continued to be active with no one to talk to and nothing to do but think. He's caught in a vicious cycle of recovering the memories he so badly wants, becoming traumatized by them, and then erasing himself. Over and over and over again. I wouldn't be surprised if Ordis accidentally damaged parts of himself when he violently and repeatedly purged his memories, resulting in his glitchy "bipolarity." I hope Ordis gets a quest and a character arc all to himself. I just want my robot son to be happy, dammit! T_T
It is like seeing an AI fro Halo's universe going rampant, and it is, actually, what had happened to 343 Guilty Spark. Left alone for centurys maybe even millenia, just thinking. Being alone like that just makes you go nuts.
If they made a quest where you were the ship and your warframes roamed the ships and you had to use the systems operations to stop the old ordis and sealed the old ordis in a place where only where the operator must be aware of the room that would be cool.
Ordis was a low ranking warrior from the Orokin era. MAYBE a Grineer, but probably not. Anyway, bone plugs are fucking awesome. Basically, you and your best bro take shards of your bone and give them to eachother. Then, you surgically attach those bone shards into your neck. THEN, when you're at a point where you want to die a warriors death, you rip them out and have a limited time span to go berserk before you bleed out from the wound.
+StallordD makes sense. Jordas has shown that they can be corrupted by the infested. So how do you find the fragments and is this part of the spectres of the rail update?
The fragments can be found in any standard Exterminate, Survival, Excavation, Spy, and (probably) Hijack mission you run. The only mission type I've never found one in is Defense. They pop up in random places, sometimes out of the way and sometimes in very obvious places in these missions. I have a Kubrow with Animal Instinct, and when I get close to one, it'll have an icon on the mini-map, so finding them isn't terribly difficult (_nothing_ like finding the Kurias). Once, on Earth, I had one spawn inside a large rock, making it unscannable, so I imagine that can happen elsewhere. You need to find them, scan them, and then, once you have enough to form a picture, move your mouse over the picture to listen for static. Where it gets loudest/most "clear", you'll get a noise and a small flash of light, and then part of the message in this video will play. I recommend doing them in the order they appear in the Codex. I discovered my first audio message on the first Mars picture, and that's the first one where you see who Ordis used to be. I was very confused as to why this angry guy was named Ordis and initially figured it was a bug until I went back to Earth, Venus, and Mercury and played through all of theirs.
this seems like recordings rather then him finding his memories again. We most not let ordis know of these 'memories', it will only bring him suffering...
Wait... so if he deleted his memories, how did he even know what Hunhow was asking him in Octavia's anthem? Instead of denying being the 'Beast of the bones' wouldn't he just be confused by Hunhow's question? I wonder if this will come up again in the new war
Since the war within quest has been released for what how long? I'm thinking that in the next major update we either remove those damn digital shackles on ordis or we clean up the infestation on the ship. I'm more hoping for a ordis gets freedom thing. So in other words......FREEDOM TO THE MAD CHEPHALON, LET HIM BATHE IN THE BLOOD OF HIS ENEMIES ONCE MORE!!!!
I'm sure you know by now, but he himself doesn't want to know these things because of several things, including that horrific dream haunting him even as a cephalon

I don't think so.
Aurelius Talis
He explicitly states he was NOT fighting for loot.
IDK there's people something to disprove me.
so ordis. you were an honored warrior at one point. now Youre just a light hologram programmed to serve us. lets fix that shall we.
"...so the punchline was hard for the orokin to swallow, and the dax didnt see it coming either."
Now that I know all of this, I can only imagine what Ballas will say to Ordis when we all meet up in the Sacrifice quest.
TheEXGamemaster ohh boy we are in for a treat (the last room that was opened)
He said nothing... But in Octavia's Anthem Hunhow calls ordis Ordan Karris
4 years later, ordis will never spoken to ballah.
"Why? Believe me..."
someone make a meme out of this
Why? Believe me, even two years later, that is a fantastic idea.
Me, another two years later, apparently. In hindsght; "Bro, trust me" is the closest we got to it.
What a sad story, Ordis I'll never be mad with you again TT_TT
It just hit me now that ordan karris might be related to excal umbra... Consumpton of kuva, red liquid, orokin killer, scarlet sword... a sacrifice... Man, i so hope that is the case
oo that'd be great
Bigbiggy Too bad Umbra's only connection to Ordas was that they both are Dax soldiers and both hate Ballas
Ordan wasn't a dax. Another type of warrior, but not "magically" forced to act on their will.
Excalibur Umbra was the greatest Dax that ever lived and still continues to "live" in a way.
This game has such an immersive story and it’s very broad and vibrant and I can relate to it because it’s about the feeling of knowing what inside of you and what’s been being hidden from you by the upperclassmen and how we’re so blind
good stuff this. Touching, lovely character development.
I love ordis after hearing this makes me cry
...
This is the best game ever
This is all so fucked up... Ordis existing just for us despise his true nature, Lotus letting it happen despise most probably knowing of his nature... Lotus, PLEASE, just let him die! Govern our Orbiters with your own damn mind, you outta manage that with your Sentient mind!
Or even better, remove his mental breaks Orokin put on him!...
That's Orokin for you, I guess. Rotten through and through.
Warframe universe is so fucking dark...
DID YOU MEAN THROUGH AND THOUGH
sorry about the caps
sadly our ship is built on him
So he can't just delete his memories, merely supress them. They come back every now and then, it will forever be with him, and that was his punishment.
He's still adorable tho-
Operator, did you hear that? It said-
(Static)
Cosmic Background radiation is a riot!
After all this year. I was looking in the codex to read them, starting to hear strange noises and thought it comes from the transmitter until I closed it and didn't hear it anymore, so I opened the codex again then realised the noise gets stronger be moving the cursor to a specific point and BOOM hear I am. Simply WOW
Honestly, I would love a mission where you can sort of free Ordis, like let him just roam the weave and maybe hear back from him every now and then, and make a new Cephalon with a volunteer
i stopped at 2:04 the cephs are PEOPLE!!!
Possibly only the older ones.
we killed jordas. we are bastards. god dang it. first lotus now ordis then tenshin. everyone's getting mindfucked.
what's this whole thing about Teshin I'm hearing?
Newest trailer we are atked by tenshin he said we ruined us both. And started to draw from dual nikanas.
+Jordon Cole-Samuels link?
+DarkHatred on phone app so I can't link but stay on UA-cam and click the video named warframe titania + the war within.
dude we put Jordas out of his misery
he was under ifnested control at that point
Ord-an Karr-is first 3 letters of his first name and last 2 letters of his last = Ordis
simaris also ends with 'is', it could just be a way to identify they're cephalons. although that wouldn't work in suda's case.
@@janfungusamon4926 Nah, like Simaris it's also a part of his old name, which was Irmis. Meanwhile Suda's name remained the same due to her Archemedian status.
orokin sure do love their eternal life in captivity torture, huh
Also I used to hate ordis, but after this my view of him has completely shifted, i enjoy his character. His violent outbursts now makes sense to me, it's his true identify peeking through his cephalon character
How blasphemous a murderer/assassin of rotting envy turned immortal given a gift of burdened immortality to feel to not feel to be and not be in an infinite simulation will of and not of Cephalons truly are in hell
I'm eating, so I have to eat slowly to hear Ordis
"I am neither code nor precepts. I must be a reflection of something... ugly."
"How many times have I done this, Ordis? Remembered, and then erased? ... Truth only sinks the heart. So stop now."
You can pinpoint the exact moments when my heart shatters and then shatters again!
I wouldn't be surprised if Ordis accidentally damaged parts of himself when he violently and repeatedly purged his memories, resulting in his glitchy "bipolarity."
I hope Ordis gets a quest and a character arc all to himself.
About that....
"Operator, Ive been thinking. My misplaced memories and damaged communication systems. What if.... Ordis did those things?"
Ordis is having an existencial crisis.
He is having a crisis about just the fact that he exists
they should make a quest where they try to restore ordis' memories
Awe his story was so emotional I feel bad or ordis and happy for him at the same time
The voice actor for Ordis and Ordan Karris is Hunhow.
plot twist Stalker is The WarFrame that Ordis (Ordan karris) used to control
I would love to have a spinoff comic about Ordan Karis
i love ordis even more after hearing these
This video got me into Warframe
"Ordis is hap- *angry* hmm I shall bypass this fault"
Except it's not his fault..
My man Ordis is having an existential crisis.
Is it possible for you to pull the ordis model from the files?
if you found a program that can open it
It's literally a cube.
Super late reply but...what about his "other form"? You know which one, the "star child" one...
late but it would be B.LightMap:/Lotus/Levels/Lore/OrdanPortrait/0_pcube0.png it does require opening a .cache /.toc file tho
@@Buitronthecrazy i think thats B.LightMap:/Lotus/Levels/Lore/OrdisSacrificeTrans/0_pcube0.png
If they made a quest where you were the ship and your warframes roamed the ships and you had to use the systems operations to stop the old ordis and sealed the old ordis in a place where only where the operator must be aware of the room that would be cool.
Ordis, do you want a hug? Please take this hug
So wait, who was Ordis, or cephalons for that matter, before they died? Tenno, and what are the bone plugs?
Ordis was a low ranking warrior from the Orokin era. MAYBE a Grineer, but probably not. Anyway, bone plugs are fucking awesome.
Basically, you and your best bro take shards of your bone and give them to eachother. Then, you surgically attach those bone shards into your neck. THEN, when you're at a point where you want to die a warriors death, you rip them out and have a limited time span to go berserk before you bleed out from the wound.
+StallordD so basically, rip out the bone plugs and go on a rampage, destroying everything, even food?
+StallordD makes sense. Jordas has shown that they can be corrupted by the infested. So how do you find the fragments and is this part of the spectres of the rail update?
StallordD Oh damn that is fucking amazing and metal as hell lol. Thanks for responding to me man, really appreciate it!!!
He says he's deleted them multiple times, maybe they're not quite as easy to delete as you'd think
"I close my eyes to die just once."
Holy shit the "Original voice".
It gave me chills !
I simply can't find words...
The helminth infestation is literally keeping the operator alive by purifying air and water. "A necessary evil, I'm afraid".
I'm sure you know by now, but he himself doesn't want to know these things because of several things, including that horrific dream haunting him even as a cephalon
Poor ordis.... Man now i feel like shit
fuckin poetic Beast of Bones part especially
So, Ordis, how's the rampancy going ?
Lel.
Dude that was so sad :( . Now that i know this i'll apreciate Ordis more then ever
After this, I feel bad about having Ordis...He isn't a freind, not by his own accord, he's our slave. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with this.
maybe DE should make a quest where we would one day free ordis from this cephalon form
Me realizing Ballas.... Made Ordian into a Cephalon
Thanks for posting this! You're a lot faster than I am and now I can kind of let go of my pseudo-OCD impulse to find them all!
1:57 that's...that was ordis? who...how...brain...melting...
The last few words.... as long as he doesn't become zenyatta with the whole tranquility n shit
EXPERIENCE TRANQUILITY
+Crazy Canadian Pain is an excellent teacher.
FREE YOUR MIND
look into the forma, tenno
BE THE POTATOE OPERATOR LET IT CONSUME YOU
Soo ordis was space kratos
