Most of the problems you had with this are pretty common, unfortunately. Paintjob still looks sick, though!

Hanger bay looks amazing, puts it over the top
Finally the Nu video is here! Fantastic work and I love the new logo and intro. I actually pardon the issues of this kit because the design is so lopsided and asymmetrical, something Sazabi doesn’t have. I like it just as much as Sazabi, they are both 1/100 PGs, and just like PGs, pose em once and just look at it pretty.
Again, those shading on the pipes at the back of the knees are 💯👌. The different shades of steel you used really pops up because of the great parts separation.
Suit looks awesome and the background looks sick man, makes it much more immersive
Also, gorgeous work Papa Gundam!!! I love the work crew and the small work truck on the lower left side..thanks for focusing on the small details, love seeing the work crew in focus against the nu gundam slightly out of focus in the background
I have to paint the rest of the crew and maybe add a supply truck some more background items like barrels

A tip from a guy who used to paint action figures, soft plastics will be eaten up when you apply enamels and lacquers. That said still a good looking kit, might end up trying my hand at Gundam models eventually.
Personally I thought the lighting was good. And that hangar you've painted is definitely paying for itself if you ask me, really makes your kits pop out on camera.

I've gone in and out with designs and what I like so much. But I always come back to the nu. Theres just something about it that makes it the perfect space age giant robot design
we are always our own worst critics, that being said i think you did an excellent job . I just got this kit and i have built and painted alot of military and sci fi stuff but this is my first gundam.

Great lighting. Maybe a TAD dark but i think it fits your backdrop and it doesnt make things hard to see. I think its just right. And if my 3rd build looked like that id be pretty fuckin happy. Good work
Lighting's solid. Good contrast show's off the really crazy awesome work. Got me pricing compressors and brushes now... Damn you... and thanks! It's to get that creative bug again after the animation industry crushed my spirit. Second verse, same as the first. Loving the channel bruv.

Functionality issues aside that really is a beautiful piece. Especially with that hangar you put together. It may have been a pain in the ass but it adds so much to the video. I’ve always been more partial towards the minimalist mobile suits rather than the ones that have all this crazy shit on them. One of my favorite series is 8th MS Team.

My MG Nu Gundam Ver.ka has been pretty good, haven't paint it as I am testing on cheaper kits first but I also haven't even built the funnels or stand yet XD... The RG Nu is looking pretty neat but the Ver.ka will always be my go to, gotta get the Sazabi ver.ka next...
Wish Bandai focused on structural stability on the ver.ka kits. Katoki deserves better.. thede are finicky range from ok to average.
for lights you can paint it in. decide where you want the light source then glaze the surrounding areas with the colour you want, only works for one pose though
This is my first purchase/build. Funny enough, i discovered this channel looking for gunpla to play on the TV as i built. Currently in the process of building it. Being my first, it will be a snap build. I'll let you know how the joints/overall build hold up.

For your third painted kit, it looks awesome! I have a nu ver ka too and it's really amateurish since it was my first hand painted kit.
Hi great setup you got there especially the backdrop of a hangar. What kind of kits/brands did you use? Or do a video tutorial about it?
I just got my hguc Rx-78 2 Gundam revive and unlike the average gunpla builder, I also .... PANEL LINED IT. I hope they do a Hguc revive version of the Nu Gundam.

I just got my RG Nu Gundam and to me is literally the MG Nu Gundam ver ka but better in almost every way. The kit is stable, parts don't pop out, and that the fin funnels aren't frail and aren't flimsy.

Your painting and scenery is excellent. Would be cool if we had a close camera panning down/up slowly at the beginning while it just stands docked in the hangar. Just like how you do throughout the video.
I forgot about that, I use a camera slider so it's possible just a lot of work to set up those types of shots.🤔 I'll try it next time!
do you pre-shade? the hue looks absolutely gorgeous.
Try using a top down white light with a side light to get better realism because at some angle you lose details, you can see the lighting styles in a lot of professional gunpla photos if you need more of a reference because with the current lighting it gives off a dark unnatural light feel but every thing else is awesome.
Also I thought the brightness was just right because the background was dark. It made the shadows in the garage seem more realistic to me anyway. I’m watching on iPhone XS Max on 20% brightness
I'm now watching it on my s8 and the video looks so much better. Guess I need a new monitor.

And ver. Ka’s are notorious for joints anyways so i believe every single one will have weak joints
Im planning to drill in tiny magnets on the fin funnels. See how it works out for me. Thats my biggest gripe, they wont stay on.
Nice paint job. Did you snap build then disassemble before you paint? Or did you paint after cutting from the runners? I want to paint mine but im afraid i may break it during disassembly

this gundam is so good for pose, but throw all of that weapons, the melee pose are the best for this, ankle joint are great

i see how the psycho frame on the forearms arent shown. same here lmao. a pain on my side to open the forearms to reveal the pyscho frame. not sure if you felt the same way though.

The arm bit of the shield has the same issue on the RG. I think it's a design issue. Massive shield on a part of the arm with moving parts.
hey Gundam what compressor do you use? I recently got an Iwata Neo as a gift but I don't have a compressor.
Yea. I've heard of the issues with the MG RX-93 ν Gundam
(Ver Ka) which is why I think fans will likely be super excited with the RG RX-93 ν Gundam
which is coming soon. It's looking more promising.
Perhaps later you can get the RG RX-93 ν Gundam
and compare it to its MG Ver. Ka counterpart?

the actual lighting and saturation on the model was immaculate but the background was /maybe/ a bit dark? it is a background though so going much brighter with it might be super detrimental, iunno

Personally I don't really like the design of the nu gundam, but I don't know why? May be it's due to the asymmetry
We all have our own tastes. I'm not crazy about the Sazabi's look, for example, so I would never get it, even though its well crafted. The Nu makes drool, though, in part due to the asymmetry.

I took off the funnels on mine. those things gave me ptsd. haven't built my Hi nu gundams funnels yet because of them lol
The focus is out of wack in some shots try making the panning shots have a more solid focus on parts. Try lighting pointed forward at your subject and one light from above.
The curse of lumix camera the focus is a real pain in the ass
ItsAGunpla for a one man show you do just as much as a 4 or 5 man crew. The hanger bay really immerses the panning shots and it creates a great atmosphere for your commentary

I’m having such a hard time with the stickers. Pls oh Gundam! Help me with that! Also everything you have said about the standing and posing the gundam is such a hard task. Also the sabers I had to super glue it.
Are you using water slides or stickers?
ItsAGunpla I’m using the decals that came with it. I bought an Xacto set to cut out the pieces but all I get it basically what is in between the material. Would getting another decal set from another vendor help me? I’ve fucked up like 3 pieces from something small already. And yeah. It’s water decals. Could you do a video on how to apply the decals for a noob like me????

To many gimmicks = structural issues, while i like some gimmicks, some of the opening armor and such to "show off" details is kinda pointless and annoying when parts SNAP and you dont have the money, equipment, or skill to repair, or even make, your own parts

Damn you complain a lot. That is how Ver Ka's are like. And I don't have issues on painting and opening and closing for the psycho frame. Its one of the easiest on resin conversions as well. Since everything is not double layered for the armor.
