I'm past reproductive years but am infuriated. I am especially concerned for the wellbeing of women denied access to the basic right to contraception.
It'd be like them telling you you couldn't get chemo or radiation for cancer treatment! They might say it's God's will,but wasn't it also God's will for doctors and scientists to develop treatments, and sometimes cures,for all these different diseases? Bad enough one has to argue with insurance companies to get some life saving treatments!

Biden is "untouchable", all the attacks they lob at him (his age, "dementia", sleepy, etc.) all bounce and are visibly projection from Dump. Kamala however, there is some bullets that could be lobbed her way successfully (whether accurately or not, that's the biggest question), and the longer it takes for them to start doing so, the better the ticket remains. As soon as Trump announces his VP pick though, that's when Kamala will need to be far more visible as a counter-point to Trump's highly likely garbage VP pick.

We must protect and cherish the right to life of the already-born.
This is more of a Crime Against Humanity, and should be referred to the Hague for prosecution.
Reproductive freedom matters to everyone regardless of gender, sexual identity, orientation, ethnicity, age, or financial status.

Agreed. She's fantastic and so measured and thoughtful.
I think it's a mixture of a couple things. One, if it seems reasonable, it doesn't make it as easy for them to believe what they "need to" to continue to indulge in their fears. And two, while she may genuinely feel everything she says, she comes across as *such* a politician sometimes that it reads like a veneer, or insincere. You can do everything right 100 times and if you step on a crack once, that's a focal point. I still hear people make fun of her for "that little girl was me" or spread rumors about promiscuity as if *anyone* in the highest office got there with full merits (I also don't believe that it's true, but still).
Now, does it make it right that that's their process? Of course not. But I think it's an honest and accurate answer to your question.
The party historically has been a little bit of a "pander bear" situation and I think there are things that could be handled financially in more of a way that's like, let's see if we can find the money elsewhere before we make every last thing a government thing, but there is no reasonable choice this cycle but them. I wish there was; I think it'd be helpful and healthy. I honestly think they should just go "Hey, if you feel you're more moderate, come in under the tent and inform our policy, we need some progressive and not nearly as progressive voices, and we'll work something out." You're always gonna piss someone off but stability is good while the weasels and asylum escapees run out gas.

I got to meet and know Kamala Harris in the late 80's when I was working at SFUSD. At that time she was working there. She was known to be very smart and one day she visited the Planning and Construction department, I personally talked with her expressing my respect and appreciation, telling her that I wished her to rise in leadership position feeling her impressive and charming personality. She is a highly educated and great experience rising in the legal profession with important roles as Attorney General preparing her for the Vice Presidency and was happy for her being selected by President Biden. The selection was right and timely, are indeed she is well prepared with her extensive background, smarts, and personality.
