When the Australians won the beach volleyball competition in the Olympic Games, in 2000, I think they came second, there was a big party at Bondi Beach which I attended. The volleyball team had their medal go around all the people at the party. I am talking about hundreds of people where there is only standing room so it's likely there were about 500 people maybe more in this small place at the beach. They let people touch it by just giving it to anyone they had and it went around the whole room. The volleyball team had no idea where it was while it was getting spread around because they knew they would get it back. So they didn't even keep track of where the medal was while it was getting spread around the room because they knew that we get the medal back. Isn't that awesome? Awesome

I have it because I was team lead on team sports scoring where it was our job to record in detail every action of every person and every score and how that score was made. We had to record the matches to prove the scores being posted to the internet at the time, if there was ever a question about it.
