This song is so different from the rest of the OST that I wonder whether it is a Wise's one. The rythm is actually quite close to Mining Melancholy, and David Wise is credited as "Additional Music", so...

@@ALLMETAL1970 True. This OST is not as good as DKC2 overall, but rivals DKC1 and can stand on its own merits. The water level, waterfall & factory themes kick major ass in particular, amongst others.
You know what really grinds my gears? The fact that this music isn't in a modern remake.

The beginning of this remix up to 0:32 makes it sound like it’s an action movie
Like it would play in a scene when the two protagonists are loading up their guns, driving to the antagonist’s hideout & going in guns blazing
3:51 the guitar solo is a perfect addition.
It makes it sounds like killer cuts from killer instinct 🤔🤔

She always been in the shadow of David Wise unfortunately, most people think he composed all the tunes of the DKC series. But true fans know what's up, without her DKC osts wouldn't be the same. Her and David Wise complimented each other very well.
Fuck yes! Eveline Fischer is awesome, and her and Wise made a fantastic team.

I've always loved the part with the String Ensemble. So much tension! Then it gets...different. Still good, but I prefer the more "scarier" style with the Strings.
Some parts of this remind me of risk of rain's music. This is a really good version 🙂

A year later i return to this remix to bask in its awesomeness, and see my comment from last year is a top comment for this video. Its still tragic that he hasn't remixed a new song in nearly a year.

This version is really good but I prefer the original.
REASON: This version enhances the Techno, and the Heavy Rock of the song is what I love, th guitar is so soft here.
I'm not saying this isn't good, It's just a style preference.
That's the same complaint you could make towards the song that ended up on the DKC3 OCRemix album, unfortunately.
Someone needs to grab Nuts & Bolts by the nuts (and bolts) and really hone in that deep industrial rock style it had going.

Why doesn't Nintendo hire you to make music for their DK games? Seriously sounds better than what makes the final cut for the games themselves.
David Wise did the music for Tropical Freeze, his is just as good. Eveline Fischer would make some great tracks too though, no doubt.
Tropical Freeze’s soundtrack wasn’t my favourite. It just lacked these cool-type songs.

i feel the same. once oc remix is done im hardpressed to find the original melody at all. they are talented but i feel like its no longer the same song. i find myself liking very few of their remixes.

I like DKC3 more than 2. But not the first DKC - the original is always the best!
+Bob Jeezorham Of course not. I love DKC3. The levels were creative and always had new ideas going into them. Of course they can be difficult but then again I kind of expect that. Even the 2 new ones made by Retro got one thing right going in. One of the key things about a Donkey Kong platform game is challenge. Returns and Tropical Freeze do not disappoint in that department.
Bob Jeezorham dkc3 had best aesthetic
3>2>1 in my honest opinion. 3 had such varied level design, and the soundtrack is amazing. This, Cascade Capers, Rockface Rumble, Enchanted Riverbank, Treetop Tumble, the overworld theme (and the Krematoa variant is soooo atmospheric) all brilliant.

The level variety of DKC2 helps give it the slightest edge over the other two. Also Kiddie was not as enjoyable to play as.
