I've watched this medley so many times over the years, only just realised it's a medly of songs that "everybody knows" 😂
That was Danny Jones doing the guitar solo. James is from Busted. Everybody knows it's their song with the melody putting other songs in the middle. McFly has always jumped like Busted. McFly has also written songs for One Direction. He wrote 'Don't Forget Where You Belong' with Niall Horan. He said it at the San Siro concert.

Busted are actually a quality band. Just like McFly there's a lot of preconceptions. They are amazing live, check out 3AM or Who's David by them.
