They were REALLY big in the UK/Europe/South America, they even broke the Beatles' records in the UK, they don't have many subscribers cause they'd been on hiatus for a LONG TIME, but they announced their comeback in 2020 and released TODAY their first single after 10 years.
They are related to one direction because Tom (the V guitar guy) wrote many songs for them (he also wrote Year 3000, and a song for 5SOS
I saw Mcbusted in concert and it was amazing. You know when McFly and Busted formed together? I can’t believe Charlie ended up going back to Busted though lmao

mcfly started in the beginning of the 2000's, literally. they went really really big between 2004-2012, and in that time youtube wasnt a big deal yet, neither any of the social medias that already existed at that time. so thats one of the reasons many people know them nowadays. that logo that appeared in the beginning of the video is from the official website/social media they created for the band to grow and communicate with the fans, so most of the galaxy defenders (the name of their fandom) used that and twitter. i was about 9 when i figured them out because of my neighbor, who was 15, and only a year later i found out 1d because of the song 'i want' that mcfly wrote. the band also was in a hiatus, 3/4 of them are married and with kids, tom fletcher (the one in the V guittar), danny jones (the lead singer) and harry judd (the drummer), dougie poynter is the youngest and the bass player,. it lasted until last year when they started releasing old songs and now they have a new album coming out in 2020. there's a LOT of songs that i think you'll love it, i would recommend that you search for the royal albert hall show, when they celebrated the 10th anniversary, there's almost all the most famous songs.

I saw McFly and immediately clicked! They're one of my favorite bands and they're so underrated especially in America! The whole RADIO:Active album is sick! Lies is a banger. And yes, a few members have written quite a few One Direction Songs (I Would, I Want, and Irresistible are the ones I remember off the top of my head)! Thanks so much for the reaction!

Yeah, Mcfly wrote with the boys alot. Most notably, they wrote 'Don't Forget Where You Belong' with Niall.
For info: Falsetto notes (and "V' guitar, usually piano) is Tom Fletcher. Vocals, guitarist eating his guitar and screaming LONDON HAMMERSMITH APOLLO is Danny Jones. Drums and vocals is Harry Judd. Bass and vocals is Dougie Poynter.

Mcfly are the 5sos of early 2000s. Have a very strong core fanbase, but not taken seriously by a lot of people but successfully made the transition from a teenage band to "adult". Mcfly broke tons of records in the UK & they started in their teenage years (15-18). You should check out a lot more of their live performances and albums. They also just released a new single yesterday and new album in November.
i forgot how much i love mcfly, and how insanely talented danny is on the guitar. you should definitely react to more of them! also they did a thing with busted, where they did some shows, and made an album together as "McBusted" and that's worth checking out as well. suggestions for more mcfly songs would be either lies, or shine a light, and then mcbusted did a cover of love me like you do that's really great.

Well this is a nice fun surprise. One of my fave bands. This isn't even one of main stream songs/singles either & it's killer. You should listen to their first album god they were young & they actually just released a new song today called Happiness. My fave album of theres is Radio:ACTIVE

Could write a whole thing about McFly. Started in early 00s huge in uk(I'm from Australia so they're known in some places). They kinda tried making it in America & were in the movie Just My Luck which starred Lindsay Lohan & Chris Pine which got them new fans but they still never really chart outside uk except maybe South America sadly. They brought out their last album in 2010 so there's been a long break. They were known before social media & then MySpace happened then twitter etc they brought out new music like 2011-2013 just a few singles but never brought out the album then mcbusted became a thing which was the super group McFly & Busted. 2 huge uk groups touring their hits but also brought out songs together & they toured uk & Australia with 1d in 2015. Since then they haven't brought out music but also they're growing up being dads, getting married etc. they got known in their late teens so they're in their early 30s now then last year brought out the album from 2011 they never brought out & yesterday they brought out their first song for their upcoming album which will be out in November.
Danny & Tom are the vocals. Danny was the one covering the other songs. Both play guitar
Dougie is bass & has sung on a couple songs but he's mainly backing vocals
Harry is drummer.
The album Radio: active is PERFECT!

Edit - Mcfly were really big in the UK in the 2000's and they took a break around 2016 I think but they recently got back together and are releasing a new album soon.
I saw McFly live a few years ago and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to, such a good night and not one single bad song in the set!

Omg I haven't listened to them in yearsssss! This made me really want to check them out again. Also! Yeah, it's crazy how some bands are huge in other countries and just haven't made it in the U.S. yet. There is a band called Picture This from Ireland and they are HUGE there. Like they sell out the biggest arena in Dublin for 5 nights in a row. And I saw them in LA with like 200 people. It's mind-boggling!!

This was awesome! I've only heard Shine a Light and really like that song. Niall performed this song with two of the guys from McFly, Olly Murs and James Arthur live on Instagram during quarantine, which is when I first heard it. It's so good!

I was so excited to see that you listened to them, thanks for requesting it Elle! Danny definitely has a really strong stage presence lol he idolizes Springsteen. McFly was huge in the UK as well as some other regions, but they have been on hiatus in recent years so their online presence isn't as big. They have a new album coming out soon though. I think you would really like watching some of their performances from the Royal Albert Hall concert: Transylvania (the bass player Dougie sings most of the song and he's got a very pop-punk voice that you'll like), I'll Be Okay/I've Got You (these are older songs so they've got a lot of great harmonies in this video), and The Heart Never Lies (this is a big song for fans so they pour a lot of energy into it).
SO crazy how McFly is now growing, especially after their 10 year break. Motion in the Ocean and Radio:ACTIVE are def 2 of my fav albums from them.

you should react to Mcfly's show in Wembley, it's one of their best shows. And if you want to see a noisy audience, react to any of their shows in Brazil! Brazil is where mcfly has the biggest fan base outside the UK!
Just recently found out your channel and decided to start off with the first McFly react. This was so exciting to watch that I couldn't help myself but leave a comment, got me smiling through the whole video. I'm from Brazil and they have been my favorite band since 2007, there was not a single year I haven't listened to this band. By now you know a lot more about them and I'm sure is going to be so much fun to watch all these videos and I can already tell you'll have a lot of nice stuff to say about them as you did in this one. It makes me the happiest to see new people getting to know them and their insane talent. This was only the first video but let me tell you how accurate was everything you pointed out! I'm insanely proud of their career and simply the humans they are, it blows my mind to think back following their journey along the years and growing up with them. This band feels like home and each one of them is such an essential piece. I love how well they complete and help each other in music but also in personal issues. And it's unreal how much they give back to the fans, we always felt so close to them because they make sure to include us in their lives, something they didn't even had to. At this point it just feels like we saved each others lives and we know we have each other's backs as well. These four guys are truly something else. Even though their famous era has gone by they should never be forgotten because they somehow still manage to keep up with the talent, the energy, the love for what they do/the fans and their chemistry. I bet UK and brazilian fans couldn't agree more (speaking of that you should react to any of their perfomances in Brazil). I can't really tell how they ended up being so big here, all I know is that we're their biggest crowd outside their country and the connection we have is out of this world. I'm happy to say they love us as much as we do and whenever they're here it feels like something magical happening. The support they get from us is insane, even during the time they were apart. It's not like anywhere else and they say this all the time. It's been a month now they came here for the first time after 10 years and I still can't believe it actually happened, so weird but also so comforting to see that nothing has changed afterall between them and between us. We really missed living this. I guess I'm trying to sum up here what I'm going to comment on the next videos because I'll definitely be making the time to watch and reply with my thoughts. But for now I only wish the band keeps growing on you because they totally deserve it and so do you! And sorry for not having the best english btw but this should work and I hope my words do justice. You mentioned being a proud dad, as you can tell I'm a huge proud mom. Great job Steven, I'm so excited for more!

They were huge in the 2000 and they've been in hiatos for many many years now. But they wrote a lot with 1D, even 5SOS. And Year 3000 is from Busted and they wrote a lot of songs together for both bands, even merged into a "supergroup" - McBusted - in 2013.

Ugh, thank you for reminding me of these guys again! They are the OGs. It's a must to see these guys live at least once before you die. They are my #1 to see. You should dive deeper into the history of the band, it's amazing. They are so talented. Tom Fletcher, the singer with the falsetto, is literally one of the most talented people in the world. He's INSANE. Found your channel today and you've gotten a new subscriber. I saw Danny (the vocalist with the deeper voice) live in September. It was a very small venue and it felt like a literal party of a thousand people! It was exhilarating! Hopefully I get to see them live in October (fingers crossed despite me not having high hopes). I've been a fan of Mcfly since I was 9; I'm 26 now and the love never died, even during their hiatus!! You should really take a look at their discography because they've had some really good songs over the past 15+ years!

I’ve been a fan since I was 4. I’ve been lucky enough to see McFly on most tours in the UK. The thrill they give is just incomparable. So under appreciated too, but they’re back
Mcfly are insanely good live. I have been to every show they have ever done since 2005. The most underrated band ever but I kind of like that in a way because they are appreciated by us their galaxy defenders. They are the nicest human beings you will ever meet and so talented it's crazy. ❤

I discovered this band through 1D because they toured as McBusted (combination of McFly and Busted) with them for the OTRA tour. Their songs have such good & fun lyrics! A lot of their songs are worth it to check out, aswell as the album they did with James and Matt from Busted as McBusted 😄😁

I am SO GLAD you picked up McFly!! I saw you singing Year 3000, they actually really good friends with Busted and formed the super band McBusted for a year or two and released an album together. Not my fave but you could like it. McFly wrote a couple of songs for 1D (I Want, Don't Forget Where You Belong, Irresistible and surely some others that I'm forgetting right now), but they ALSO wrote for 5SOS!! Actually, Tom (dude with the cool sparkling V guitar) wrote Try Hard. If you want a good cry, I'd recommend some of Tom's videos from his UA-cam channel. He turned all of his band's hits into his wedding speech and wrote amazing songs for the birth of his two oldest sons. But if you want to check something a bit different, I'd say check the live version of their song Transylvania. It's my fave ahah Xx

McFly has a new song out today called Happiness - you should check it out. Not all of their songs are as rock oriented as this one. Couple of fun McFly facts - since I know you enjoy books - Tom Fletcher (the one that started the song) and his wife and his sister are all authors. The have written several books each. Tom specializes in children and teen books. One of his books was turned into a play. He has also written a series of kids books with Dougie (the bass player). Danny - the main singer - is a coach on the UK version of The Voice for kids. And Harry the drummer won the UK version of Dancing with the Stars. They have all kept busy during their band hiatus, but I'm glad to see them back together and getting ready to release their new album.
i'm from brazil and there's so many people here that loves them that in 2020 they would have 7 shows if it was not the Covid ! they are really loved here and if you have the opportunity to listen they noew song "happiness ", you can hear a lot of "samba" included ! it's a great song as any other they made this several years! I just love them!
