Him and Matt Ritchie were my favourite Bournemouth players during our promotion season and beyond until eventually they both had to leave. I appreciate what he is doing now although comfortable likely isn't what he wants as he would prefer playing. He will still go down as a Bournemouth legend who not only scored a promotion winning goal to get us into the championship but also massively helped us get up to and stay in the premier league. Yes, it is sad to see his decline however as a player, he'll always hold a special place in our hearts for what he has done and good luck to him in the future.

Interesting video, I’ve always seen 31 to around 33/34 as a fighter’s absolute peak and 36/37 where decline noticeably happens. Although with sports science improving I think we will start seeing fighters push their prime through to 40 in the coming years for lower weight classes. Higher weight classes can obviously fight till later ages already as you stated.

Like any of us watching this, if you knew you could lose up to 90% of your current earnings by leaving, you would stay put. In terms of careers, football has a shelf life of say 20yrs.
