Just the fact that Reptile getting new moves/buffs to his moves alone makes this update already amazing. Ermac and Mavado also both look excellent too.
MK1 just keeps getting better and better, and as for the online issues that some people has (not everyone, some people say that they have no issues ATM) will surely be fixed in this patch well. MK1 is truly a PHENOMNEAL GAME!

I wish kameos had more brutalities. Seeing Mavado slam the opponent into you and they just explode would be hilarious.
From my knowledge, each Kameo has like 3 brutalities though
idk what is taking them so long but unlockable brutals in ranked/invasions is a MUST I mean MK11 had that. Would def provide more incentive to play Invasions if you got brutalities right???

It makes me want Mavado playable in the next one. And the fact they chose Mavado instead of Kabal makes me think maybe in this new timeline Mavado and Kabal will be turned into one character, turning into Kabal after getting burned
I think they set up kabal coming out as a playable character cause mavado doesnt have the hook swords anymore
After 8 Years of waiting for his Return, Not only does Ermac look complete with a Mask, but both the MKX Voice Actor, Jamieson Price reprices this Role once again as he still got it and Ermac not only has his Iconic Moves Upgraded but he fights as Many as the Souls that are Within Him which was never done before as we believe now that he’s Many in One, plus I love the nice touches like him fighting Shao as in the Original Lore he created Ermac and Skarlet by the Fallen Warrior’s Souls and Blood Shao took and love his Doctor Strange, Matrix, Inception like Clock Fatality that would make Kronika and Geras Jealous and his One Man Army like Fatal Blow that it makes me think of the Quan Chi “Kill Them” Meme and has Dragon Army Vibes, Mavado functions like a Evil Spider-Man with Hsu Hao Tech, sure I wish he had the Spiky Cleats but he looks good enough and at least he doesn’t copy Kabal, although we still need him UMK3, Deception, Shaolin Monks, MK9, MK9 Alternated, MKX, and MK11 Ermac Skins to Appear in MK1.

Nah bro the speed of his combos is insanely similar to the speed of mkx combos. I felt like I was watching mkx gameplay with better graphics when watching the trailer. And just think, this is a trailer so you know they held back on how sick the combos could truly be, so imagine how sick they'll be when we can finally use him. I'm so glad that I literally got everything I wanted AND MORE out of my favorite character in mk1.

The rope kick is likely context based. Knock back = rebound. Aerial = ground bounce. Grounded = OTG.

I was literally looking forward to PNDK&M's video on Ermac all day since the trailer dropped, and of course, I wasn't disappointed 🤙
Ermac may just be the best character now
Unless he has slow normals (Which I doubt because he looks insanely faster than other characters), he's definitely going to be S tier. He has a levitate (more low hat set-ups with Kung Lao), he has incredible range for both his normals and his grab, he has amazing combos, and he looks speedy. I think Ermac is going to be VERY strong unless he has some of the issues that Quan Chi has (Which I pray to god he doesn't).

I honestly think that float in the shao combo into the blast to pop him up is not a cancel but like a button option off of the float I feel the float will have a different button options to do something
It'd be better of it was like sindels levitate cancel. It makes for faster gameplay in my opinion. And ermac needs to be FAST.

I doubt the section @7:22 will be a new mechanic, it's probably Mavado's reversal just done after a flawless block instead of a normal one. Granted if there are situations where flawless block makes things more minus a reversal would be more likely to hit, or maybe a general change to kameo reversals so that they might be guaranteed after flawless blocks. I could be wrong as well, but an improvement to kameo reversals would give them a reason to exist since they're hardly used.

Something that I think would be very cool idea is to bring back custom variations. If we had those alongside the kameo system we already have it would make this game one of most customizable current fighting games as two of the same characters but each with different custom variations moves and different kameos would potentially make them very different to play as despite being the same character even if it just two moves instead of the three and a smaller list of move choices that could be expanded on down the line. I think it would really help MK distinguish itself from other fighting games essentially giving us builds or light builds anyway
I wonder if the mavado otg prevents delayed wake up from being a mindgame. It seems like the character is put into a set get up animation specific for getting hit by mavado so maybe it sorta forces the opponent up immediately instead of allowing a delay.
aw man i've been on the fence about getting mk1 (ive never been a huge mk guy dabbled a bit in mkx but thats it) but ermac looks rad! if he ends up being a lab monster type of character i might have to pick the game up! im very excited to see what they do with takaeda

my guess is that reptile doesn’t get 2 new moves, but that they gave new properties to one of his old moves and then one new move. That stand 3 into invis is just something you can already do, that’s his airborne overhead teleport. I think they’re just giving him the ability to cancel it.

Ermac looks amazing and his gameplay looks very unique! Also, I really hope that Reptile's new acid ball is ADDED, not replacing his currrent acid spit. His standing 3 attack with him disappearing and re-emerging from another side is kinda reminicent to his Air Falling Fangs attack, where he jumps up and attacks from above. I'm hyped for these changes!
That projectile could also replace just one version of Acid Spit, either the regular or EX one, that's not really contradicting anything. Not saying that Acid Spit ATM is bad of course, just saying what can happen. And yes that phase-out special from S3 looks kina like Falling Fangs, but it's more likely to be an all-new special move.
I'm hoping that Movado slide and landmine will let Reiko combo after command grab so I can pair him with someone other than Tremor or Darrius
Seeing reptile get new moves gives me hope that scorpion might actually get a complete kit one day. Ermac looks sick and I'm very excited to try him out.

Maybe when mavado kicked shao away it could have been his kameo reversal which if that’s the case that seems way quicker than most, however I do hope it is a push block mechanic for kameos

Here's a horrifying idea - Kabal as a kameo. Unlikely as that may be.
Question for all - If Kabal became a kameo, and one of his moves was the Nomad Dash, who would benefit the most from THAT?

It almost looks like Reptiles new acid could be a charged version of the existing DF1 attack. Is there such a thing as a charged special?
Yes there are charged moves in the game. Reptile himself can charge his B2 overhead normal that can lead to a full combo if it's fully charged. I don't this projectile is charged one though.
Hopefully this can be a stepping stone to saving mk1.
I hope they start adding more brutalities, stages, and mercy with this patch
As a reptile main, I really hope the changes are not limited to new moves, he desperately needs a few frames adjusted and hopefully less gaps

Just look at how long those capture states are, ermac can call janet whenever he does enhanced lift.

After reptile went invisible, I noticed he became visible at the startup of his dash🤔🤔. Does that an if he goes invisible, its for a very short time or is it that he becomes visible after another special input 🤔
I hope with all my heart that the balance patch is a complete overhall of the gameplay in MK1. This game needs a lifeline and if the patch next week does 1/2 of what we think it might, it could save this game.

Hello, Ketchup, I have a question, sorry that it's not about the video but it's bugging me so much and I don't know how to search it up.
Is there a name for the term where you shouldn't be able to block but you can? For example, in MK9, Johnny cage's low blow, after getting hit by it, the opponent is stuck in the animation and shouldn't be able to block, but by the time Johnny has done his next attack the opponent can block even though they're still in the animation of the low blow.
Also, I'm loving both the look of the gameplay and his appearance, but especially his gameplay. It's very pleasing to my eye to see Ermac's moves and how these moves can be used. It just looks like he has so much I'll definitely be playing him if he's still like this.
It's just a form of hitstun that doesn't leave you open. It's kind of like how a low poke may be plus, but it doesnt mean the low poke guarantees a free hit. Cage MK9 Nutpunch is the same situation. Super plus, but not a stun. Just a restand.
