Thank you so much Danny! I am a 62 year old Grandmother..I have played golf now and then since I was 25 years old. Now that I am retired I am playing about 4 times per week. Your videos have really helped me improve my golf game. I took everything you taught in each video to the driving range and I practiced for hours..Thanks to you I went from a 13 handicap down to a 5 handicap. Keep those videos coming Danny! 😊
Just read this, incredible … well done …. I’m the opposite … I’ve put hours and hours in, but I’m now so inconsistent, I can’t even bring myself to play more than once a week, because I don’t want hold up play or feel the frustration from my fellow playing buddies. Heartbreaking, but I’m thinking of not renewing my membership next year. Well done to to you though … so lovely to read ❤
Danny... I've watched 8-10 different pros on UA-cam to straighten out my swing for Driver and Irons/Fairway. I always come back to yours. Everyone learns things differently depending on how it's presented to them. It' just depends on how we're wired. You've helped fix my driver problems (still working on distance but, that's ok). Now, I'm working on Irons. I've been golfing for 35 years and doing thing wrong. When you're young is easier to compensate but, now I'm 72 and don't have the strength or flexibility I used to have and unless I correct decades of 'wrong', I just won't be able to break 90 consistently. I'm working on my inconsistent iron striking and your videos like this one is getting me back on plane. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this lesson. Out of hundreds of videos this IS the one that help STRIKE my Irons SOLID after 50 years of golfing. I so Excited and Very Happy! Thank You
I’m 80 years old and decided last year to return to golf for the physical activity. I last played golf in the mid ‘80s. Seems as if I’ve forgotten everything pertaining to a golf swing. I started watching numerous instructors on specific actions of the golf swing. Some were excellent, some weren't as effective. Watching you where you break down each aspect of the issue you are presenting allows me to grasp exactly what you intend for me to get. Thanks. Started last year with teetering breaking 100. Ended the year with 11.6 handicap. Can’t golf in the winter, so I make slow swings in my basement sing the instructions you have been providing. Can’t wait until the temperature gets to at least 60 deg F. Expect to be single digit handicap within a month. Thanks again.
Danny, this is 1 of 3 videos that really helped me. "I'm going to miss this stick, with my weight at 80% (on the lead leg)... " THAT was HUGE. Instantly helped my ball striking. Thank You 😊
I love learning about the golf swing from you Danny. You explain how to swing correctly in an easy to understand way. My handicap has improved 4 strokes over the past two years since I began to watch, learn, and practice what you teach. It used to be that when I swung the club I really didn't know where the ball would go. Now I am very confident that the ball will go where I aim. This is a very big deal for me and makes playing more enjoyable and consistent. I have many fewer days when I score 5 or more stokes higher than my handicap. I continue to recommend you to all of my golfing buddies. I see your viewership is growing so a lot of others must be doing the same thing! I cannot thank you enough.
Thanks for all your videos this year Danny, you must have helped 1,000s of people improve their game. Enjoy your time with your family over Christmas. Onwards and upwards to a New Year, looking forward to seeing more great content. Thanks mate 👍🏻
Danny…your video on swing plane rotation when driving solved my slice ! Best advice ever. Shifted plane rotation slightly right at approach…and amazing. It worked. I’ve taken lessons and watched a ton of videos to no avail. Your video was easy to understand and take to the course and worked for me. Thanks! 62 year old golfer in Minnesota.
I really enjoy how you break each lesson or tip down, making it so easy to understand what your saying. I never thought I would break 90. After watching your videos and practicing, I am now playing rounds in the mid to upper 80's and getting better. My new goal is to break 80, my lowest round so far is 84, without my handicap. :)
I just want to express high appreciation to Danny for all the teaching's videos you share. I'm from Indonesia and after the pandemic, looks like golf (and driving range) becoming more and more popular these days. Less than a month with no knowledge and almost nothing to know on how to swing a golf club and yet, yesterday with 7-iron, I manage to get 106-meter carry with 90mph ball speed, and more (and more) consistence swings every time. Thank you again for your Incredible teaching technique and will continuously try to improve my skill from your videos. God Bless!
This video helped my golf swing more than any advice or lesson I’ve ever received and I’ve been golfing on and off for over 30 years. Between this and other Danny videos I now not only strike the ball more consistently but I have a frame of reference for what I’m feeling in my swing and how to adjust it. Game changer. Thank you, Danny!!
1:40 this is a really helpful video. I think telling people to hit down/compressing on the ball is a huge reason why we all (meaning me) had a tendency to come over the top. This gives a great visual in order to accomplish that. Thanks!
Thanks for all your coaching and content this year Danny. Your videos are one of the reasons I have improved my game a lot this year. I like your method and the simple way you present it. I hope you have a great Christmas😊
Danny I hit irons decent. But after watching your other video hitting irons pure , where you described just whip it back into backswing and all one motion. Whipping down. That all in one motion. Wow. I hit perfectly straight and longer yards. Ty so much. William
Danny your videos are so easy to understand. I advise all golfers having trouble with their swing to video their swing. I had my daughter video my swing and l noticed that l was rolling my wrist too early sending the club into the "elephant graveyard", hope you like my Lion King reference. Keep up the good work.
That is a great tip. It was something that held me back for years. I believed that you needed to “load up” on the right side. Now I keep my weight on the left and lowered my hc for 20 to 8. Now putting is holding me back. Lol
Used this at the driving range yesterday. The best I've hit the ball since I started playing (10 years). I'll be turning 60 in April and have arthritis in both shoulders but hit the ball with better flight, line and length with only a couple of slices out of about 60 balls hit! Cheers Danny!
Thanks Danny, your lessons are always a weekly must. Thanks for all your hard work and content during the year and looking forward to more in the new year. Have a great Christmas with family and friends....and seasons greeting to your dad too.
This video is chock full of helpful information, and I'm sharing it with my golfing buddies. One of the most important concepts, broken down so simply that even people like me can understand it! 🤣 Thanks a million Danny. If proximity allowed for it, I'd seek lessons from you, but this is the next best thing! Cheers from FL, US.
Great Video.. you explained this so well., I know with me if I’m not striking my irons well I sometimes start to intentionally hit down. It might work once but then fails. Again this explains it well where now I’m just concerned with my arc and where it bottoms out thank you!!
Thanks Danny for all the weekend instruction which is THE most straightforward and easy to follow on the internet. Todays lesson is in the same vein. Just tried it and the key factor for me is keeping 60% of the weight on the front foot as this helps to stop moving off the ball, swaying. Dare I say, there is a element of stack and tilt in this technique.
Great tip Danny - I was combining this with “1 2 and pivot through” on the range today and noticed a significantly improved contact with the inside arc intention. This is especially helpful to me as I head “down” as a swing thought for a long time when correcting my over the top habit. Thanks again 🙏
I played my first round of 2023 yesterday, after seeing a video that was JUST about your tip #3-- keeping your head still and not swaying. I made great contact with my irons, hit most of them 7-10 yards farther than normal, and shot 78, without swinging any harder. AMAZING!
Great insights Danny, thank you - I tend to pick my iron shots off the turf without much divot, and struggle with pulling 5 and 4 irons but this really helps explain why the (very) old saw/Hogan tip about move your short irons way back in your stance is wrong.
Thank you Danny more little gems... you are the best. Merry Christmas all. I had forgotten the distinction ball position related to the club in hand to that degree, I have to go and check that out! Shot 70 today was directed to play 2 back nines. It counts.
Hey Danny, You have helped me get down to 12 from 15 this year. Thanks so much for all the great tuition- you make the swing so easy to understand and feel. I will be trying this 'move the arc' tip next week- but first some festive indulgence : ) Merry Xmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year to you and yours!
The 60/40 drill does work! So many of us hit "at" the ball, not through the ball. Using this drill to dial in the bottom of a swing plane is a game changer. Practicing in my garage, hitting foam balls, -51F windchill in South Dakota. Merry Christmas to you and yours Danny. Thank you for a terrific series of videos in '22.
Another fantastic video Danny. For someone who tends to stray back too much on the takeaway, it’s great to hear that it is ok to start with more weight on front foot. It almost feels like a reverse pivot but video of my swing shows otherwise after watching your video. I also enjoyed your description of why long irons are more difficult due to forward ball position. Thanks again.
Even after playing the game for almost 50 years I still feel like I have no idea where I am in my swing, so I'm always learning. Happy Christmas and a happy new year
Thanks Danny. Your sessions have been fantastic this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, and everyone who supports you in producing these lessons.
Superb video. In my opinion Danny is one of the best at guiding golfers through the complexities of the game and making it simpler for us mortals to understand and improve. Thanks Danny 👍😀⛳️
What a great lesson I’m a seven handicap have played for years but a refresher on how to strike the ball first the proper way has really helped me out. I was getting sloppy and falling back on my right side. Thank you very much Danny I’ve never seen a lesson from you that was an excellent, I almost feel like I’m stealing if you ever charge, I’ll start paying thank you thank you thank you
Dear Danny, it is a great pleasure to watch your videos and you have a nice way of communicating topics. Thank you for that, Merry Christmas and all the best for 2023!
Thank you Danny for all these precious pieces of advice and tips. My swing has tremendously improved thanks to your videos. Enjoy a very much deserved Christmas holiday with your family. Looking forward to viewing more videos in the year to come. Best wishes from France.
Hello Danny “ I live on the east coast of Canada ‘ so my time on the course is limited “I’m in my mid 50s “and started to play golf as a pass time after I retired “ watching your videos has helped me tremendously “ just want to say thank you and keep up those great videos
I returned to the course for the first time in 6 weeks, and I hope that, by employing some of the drills/techniques suggested, I can improve during 2023 - thanks for the help!
Thanks Danny, try always told me to put more weight on my trail leg in the backswing and then move the weight to the lead leg on the down swing , this is clearly more efficient, and keeping the lead shoulder in front is a winner , will try tomorrow, cheers and merry Christmas to you and your family 🎅🏻
Perfect sense. Can you maybe make a similar video with more emphasis on fairway woods and perhaps hybrids? The margin for error with these clubs is greater than for the shorter irons.
lovely video. I will definitely practice this as I often strike my irons before golf ball. Danny u make things so simple with logic that everyone understands and can replicate. Great job mate.
Great video Danny. Just coming back to golf after a break for a couple of years. This is one of the best explanations I've seen to improve ball striking. I'll be taking these ideas to the range this week. Many thanks
Love your positive explanations, Danny. My problem is that I know where the low point of my swing is, but I still keep chunking! 😣 There are so many online tips that I think I have all the advice rolling in my head instead of swinging freely. Hit a lot of 7 irons in the rivers that were between me and 130 yards yesterday 😖
Great video Danny. I've heard my local Pro' tell every new Student, 'golf is a game of opposites, you have to hit down on the ball to make it go up'. I believe right there and then he's made their journey so much more difficult because they now have the wrong mental picture of what they need to do. I've seen Golfers who've had lessons every week for months and still be hitting 'air' shots. It's a Shame, but thanks to videos like yours it might save a few from years of frustration and heartache. Have a Great Christmas Danny.
How do you do it every time Danny! That metal arc helped me so much to visualise the difference between the 5 wood and the 8 iron.Thank you so much. Merry Christmas and a Wonderful 2023 to you and all your viewers.
Great lessons Danny. Questions: 1. (Nobody ever explained this). If after trying ten thousand times I'm still hitting behind the ball, shouldn't I just move the ball back towards my right foot and aim left? At least I'll get good distance from the solid strike. 2. How should I practise taking divots when I only can practise on a golf mat? Should I tee up the ball a tiny amount and try for contact with the mat after the ball? Thanks.
Danny emphasises the importance of more weight on the lead foot, and this one instruction is probably worth more than the many offered by others, combined. I felt perhaps the reason for moving the ball further forward in the stance for longer clubs might benefit from explaining the reason for doing so. It always seems to me to be rather illogical - if one widens ones stance for longer clubs, would not the fulcrum or low point of the swing be further back, relative to one's lead foot? And so, why does the ball go forward rather than back? And, if you do not widen your stance, why would the fulcrum and ball position change? I must be misunderstanding the dynamics somewhere! It is an inspiring video, like so many by Danny. I share in extending thanks and appreciation for his efforts to get us enjoying golf more.
Thanks for this. I've been working on very similar feelings in practice. Ball striking improved so much and that has allowed me to free mind of other junk. This has given me something to refer back to when I need a reminder. Thanks 👍
Happy Christmas and New Year! Thanks for providing quality lessons this year. They really help. I am getting fitted for irons in March and can’t wait to find out which ones will be best for me. I already know my current starter set with senior shafts and skinny standard grips are WRONG. Will be getting midsize grips (Plus 4) and regular graphite shafts with whatever irons I buy. Just had a 3.0 Super Stroke grip installed on my putter. Love the new feel. And the midsize grip installed on my driver is awesome.
Terrific video Danny. Great tips. Plus, love the sub-titles. Fairway as Fairy Woods, Long Irons as Long Grinds. Love that good old Yorkshire accent. Ta.
Really great stuff. You distill the essence of each crucial point with simple clarity. I'm subscribed and becoming addicted. Now, if I can only carry this over to my golf game!
great videos danny. the props you have to visualise the arc are really useful -- one thing that occurs to me that wasn't mentioned is that the longer the club shaft, the less curved those arcs are going to be, which (like moving the ball forward in the stance) also gives you less clearance to the ground before the low point. I don't know how significant this is but it was just a thought.
Danny, you have helped me so much in my first year. My friends were shocked because I have only been playing for two months and they have been playing for three years. I shot a 108, and my friend shot a 115. Many thanks, Danny!
Thank you for all your support this year. I really do appreciate it 🙏
Thanks for a brilliant year of tutorial Videos. Have a great Christmas & New year with your Family 😀
Merry Xmas Danny, love this video.
Happy Christmas to you & the family Danny.
Hopefully you can get out on the course with us early risers next year!
Thank you as well
@@edkedge68 100% Ed, would love that, will keep an eye on the schedule and pop my name down when I’m free

Wow that's an impressive handicap jump
A 5 handicap at 62. That is awesome! Keep Swinging those clubs Anne!
Brilliant tips again Danny thanks you've improved my game no end with this simple explanations great teaching videos

Thank you Jon. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas. I love what I do and can’t wait to continue helping golfers like yourself in 2023.
Thank you Sam and well done 🙌😁. Appreciate you taking the time to share your story
This is the best instruction I have ever seen on hitting solid shots. The demo with the pendulum did it for me. Excellent.
Really happy to help

Thank you Jonathan, really hope it helps your ball striking
I have improved my game, and golf satisfaction, with the help of your videos. Thank you Danny!
Wonderful to hear
Danny this explanation of the swing arc changed my life….now crushing it!!!
Great Video.. you explained this so well., I know with me if I’m not striking my irons well I sometimes start to intentionally hit down. It might work once but then fails. Again this explains it well where now I’m just concerned with my arc and where it bottoms out thank you!!
That’s it John
Thanks Danny for all the weekend instruction which is THE most straightforward and easy to follow on the internet. Todays lesson is in the same vein. Just tried it and the key factor for me is keeping 60% of the weight on the front foot as this helps to stop moving off the ball, swaying. Dare I say, there is a element of stack and tilt in this technique.
Thank you Peter, thanks so much for your support this year wishing you a happy and healthy new year
Great tip Danny - I was combining this with “1 2 and pivot through” on the range today and noticed a significantly improved contact with the inside arc intention. This is especially helpful to me as I head “down” as a swing thought for a long time when correcting my over the top habit. Thanks again 🙏
Thnx Danny for a wonderful year of great golf tuition. You're the best.
Really like Chip, all the best for 2023
Danny and his Arc with two of each type of golfer🏌🏼♂️.
Another great video. Thanks Danny.
Glad you enjoyed it Duncan, thanks for the support this year
Just starting golf at 36. Your videos have been a blessing to me
I have followed you for several years, believing I was a subscriber. Apparently not. I now am. You are a very good instructor
Wow, thank you, welcome to the channel 😁
I played my first round of 2023 yesterday, after seeing a video that was JUST about your tip #3-- keeping your head still and not swaying. I made great contact with my irons, hit most of them 7-10 yards farther than normal, and shot 78, without swinging any harder. AMAZING!

Best in the business. Danny you’ve got me hitting in the mid 80s for the first time!
That’s amazing Hunter well done
I enjoy every video you put on youtube. I really learn a lot from it, which only increases my pleasure in golf more and more.
One of the best ball striking training sessions I’ve seen. Thanks!
Thanks Danny! My game is improving by keeping it simple like the way you teach, simple.
Happy to help Keith
Thank you Danny more little gems... you are the best. Merry Christmas all. I had forgotten the distinction ball position related to the club in hand to that degree, I have to go and check that out! Shot 70 today was directed to play 2 back nines. It counts.
Hey Danny, You have helped me get down to 12 from 15 this year. Thanks so much for all the great tuition- you make the swing so easy to understand and feel. I will be trying this 'move the arc' tip next week- but first some festive indulgence : ) Merry Xmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year to you and yours!
And you, I’m about to sit down and grab a glass of wine
Thank you thank you Danny your video has help me so much I'm 75 years young but love the game can't say enough
It’s so hard not to hit at the ball when "hitting the ball" is the objective. Lol
I watched this yesterday, played today, so much better - transformed, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it Alan
You are the best teacher on UA-cam by far.
Really kind thank you
Very good way of explaning the finer points of striking the golf ball.
Thank you 🙏
Another fantastic video Danny. For someone who tends to stray back too much on the takeaway, it’s great to hear that it is ok to start with more weight on front foot. What a great video this is. Struggled for years with low point and iron strikes. This feels like a lightbulb moment. 👍
Happy to help Charlie 😁
Even after playing the game for almost 50 years I still feel like I have no idea where I am in my swing, so I'm always learning. Happy Christmas and a happy new year
Great video again Danny, thanks for all the pointers and tips throughout the year.Have a great Christmas
And you Richard, thanks for all the support this year
Thanks Danny. Your sessions have been fantastic this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, and everyone who supports you in producing these lessons.
The weight on my front foot has been a game changer for me. I've never hit better iron shots than I have since utilizing that tip. Thanks Danny!
Great to hear adam

Dear Danny, it is a great pleasure to watch your videos and you have a nice way of communicating topics. Thank you for that, Merry Christmas and all the best for 2023!
I really needed this video. Gotta fix my topping problem. Thanks for allof your instructional wisdom, Danny!
I really appreciate your practical approach and detail in your teaching. My favorite teaching videos!!
Thanks David 😁
Another great video Danny. Quality teaching in a simple form so that we can understand and put into practice. All the best for the New Year.
Youve retired , if your golf is hopeless you're still winning congratulations
I returned to the course for the first time in 6 weeks, and I hope that, by employing some of the drills/techniques suggested, I can improve during 2023 - thanks for the help!
Hey Danny! GREAT video! LOVE the concept of knowing the low point! Thanks again!
Pleasure, really happy to help
Watching your videos have helped me immensely thank you Danny
Amazing to hear Axel I’m so happy for you
Seems like when I would check in on your videos around three years ago you didn't have a lot of subs. Let's get this man to a million!
Appreciate that Justin
Thanks Danny, try always told me to put more weight on my trail leg in the backswing and then move the weight to the lead leg on the down swing , this is clearly more efficient, and keeping the lead shoulder in front is a winner , will try tomorrow, cheers and merry Christmas to you and your family 🎅🏻
This has got to be the best golf instruction videos out there, right?
Perfect sense. Can you maybe make a similar video with more emphasis on fairway woods and perhaps hybrids? The margin for error with these clubs is greater than for the shorter irons.
Absolutely Tom
One of my problems but now I have something to work on with my fairway woods. Thank you Danny!
Thank You So Much for this video Danny You are the man. I will practice this need week.
Look forward to hearing how you get on
lovely video. I will definitely practice this as I often strike my irons before golf ball. Danny u make things so simple with logic that everyone understands and can replicate. Great job mate.
Thank you Basharat, really happy to help
Great video Danny. Just coming back to golf after a break for a couple of years. This is one of the best explanations I've seen to improve ball striking.
I'll be taking these ideas to the range this week. Many thanks
Thanks David let me know how you get on 👍
I can't wait to bring this to the driving range. You really make your lesson easy and clear.
Thank you Ryan 😁
Love your positive explanations, Danny. My problem is that I know where the low point of my swing is, but I still keep chunking! 😣
There are so many online tips that I think I have all the advice rolling in my head instead of swinging freely.
Hit a lot of 7 irons in the rivers that were between me and 130 yards yesterday 😖
Danny, Thank you for all your superb teaching this year. What gifts you and your team have given us. Happy Christmas to all the Maude family.
Thank you John really appreciate it, wishing you a happy and healthy new year
Great video Danny as always! All the best for 2023 and hope you get to the 1 million subscribers!!! Best golf coach on UA-cam by far!
Really kind Rocky and thanks for alll the support this year
Great video Danny.
Thank you Danny. I know this will definitely help me! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Merry Christmas John wishing you a happy and healthy new year
He is a master communicator. Great lesson.
Really appreciate the support
How do you do it every time Danny! That metal arc helped me so much to visualise the difference between the 5 wood and the 8 iron.Thank you so much.
Merry Christmas and a Wonderful 2023 to you and all your viewers.
Really happy to help Salil
Your language an tips in golf is sooo easy to follow an understand
Danny you are probably the best teacher out there.
Very kind of you to say Timothy, I know there are many great coaches out there
Another great year of videos Danny. Look forward to what 2023 brings!
Can't wait! 😁
Great lessons Danny. Questions:
Thanks.
Both of those suggestions would be a great starting point
Thank you Danny for a great year of learning. Can’t wait for 2023!
Thanks for this. I've been working on very similar feelings in practice. Ball striking improved so much and that has allowed me to free mind of other junk. This has given me something to refer back to when I need a reminder. Thanks 👍
As always, great video Danny! Thanks for all your help this year!
Any time Paul, wishing you a happy and healthy 2023
Happy Christmas and New Year! Thanks for providing quality lessons this year. They really help. I am getting fitted for irons in March and can’t wait to find out which ones will be best for me. I already know my current starter set with senior shafts and skinny standard grips are WRONG. Will be getting midsize grips (Plus 4) and regular graphite shafts with whatever irons I buy. Just had a 3.0 Super Stroke grip installed on my putter. Love the new feel. And the midsize grip installed on my driver is awesome.
Danny, Thank you for your great teaching. Please note the wordings on the screen is blocking the ball position on the ground.
Hi Paris, if you turn CC off on your screen the subtitles will disappear
Terrific video Danny. Great tips. Plus, love the sub-titles. Fairway as Fairy Woods, Long Irons as Long Grinds. Love that good old Yorkshire accent. Ta.
😂👌
This lesson will really help, thank you!
Like the way you teach and explain these different shots
Happy Holidays and improved ball striking to all my fellow “Maudeites”. Danny you continually deliver my Saturday pick me up. Cheers pal.
Thanks for all the continued support this year Simmo, really appreciate it
A fantastic lesson again, Danny. Thank you and have a Merry Christmas 🎄
Happy holidays! wishing you a happy and healthy new year
Another excellent tutorial, something new to think about. Keep up the great work, happy new year.
Happy new year! John
Merry Christmas Danny! You are the best by far! Thank you for your help.
Really great stuff. You distill the essence of each crucial point with simple clarity. I'm subscribed and becoming addicted. Now, if I can only carry this over to my golf game!
Love to hear how you get on
Thanks! You helped my golf game so much with all your videos.
Thank you Mike! Really appreciate the support 😁
great videos danny. the props you have to visualise the arc are really useful -- one thing that occurs to me that wasn't mentioned is that the longer the club shaft, the less curved those arcs are going to be, which (like moving the ball forward in the stance) also gives you less clearance to the ground before the low point. I don't know how significant this is but it was just a thought.
thank you, Danny my game has improved greatly thanks to the tips you provide have a merry xmas mate
And you Kev, hope you have an awesome holiday
Danny, you have helped me so much in my first year. My friends were shocked because I have only been playing for two months and they have been playing for three years. I shot a 108, and my friend shot a 115. Many thanks, Danny!
Well done 😁👍
